President Trump wants to cut US troops in Germany by 9,500 bringing the number down to — 25,000! Why America needs 35,000 US troops in Germany today is anybody’s guess. Of course, the same Pentagon Generals who are against sending troops into to US cities where leftist looters and rioters destroyed 1,500 buildings and businesses are against this idea. The BBC reported on the cuts. Rumours of cuts were reported earlier this month by US media, amid rising tensions with its allies in the Europe’s North Atlantic Treaty Organisation

What’s that? You don’t like the idea of reducing by 9500? Well then, let’s do it right and make it 19,000.

I haven't seen the list for names on this, but I would bet money it is the same ones that want to import millions of workers for the Chamber of Commerce.

The retiree homesteaders are dying off, Russia can't do anything substantive outside the FSUs, and if we want to support NATO exercises in Poland and the Baltic then move the support structure to Poland where there are less than 0.4% muslims. Set that up and then send the rest home.

Hey! Republicans! Europe has a population in excess of 500 million. Seems to me that Europe should be able to defend itself. Least we forget that three of the most technologically advanced countries on earth are in western europe. Britain, Germany and France. And two of them are nuclear powers.
If we reduce our presence, Europe will have to pay "its fair share".

These reps are deep in the pockets to the Pentagon which in turn is in thrall to the 'military industrial complex'. Bottom line - the President wins not the Congress.

So how much foreign aid monies get money laundered back into the RNC coffers?
Follow the money.

I'm all for our finally bringing down the flag in Europe as WW2 champs. I do not support any troops stationed in Poland. Let effete Europe fend for itself. They put themselves in the position they hold. The Chinese will invade before Russia does.
But, wait...it's Republicans who don't want to leave...then we better stay...

9500 troops represents a lot of money to the economy of Germany. That number of troops means nothing for the security of Germany. We should probably bring 95% of our military home and just leave enough to act as a ''listening post.'' If we had to fight the Russians at the German border, or elsewhere in the region, It would be a variety of smart/special weapons. It would not be the ''Fulda Gap'' mass invasion scenario. America need not fight a war of mass attrition again.

Russia has no reason to invade Germany again. Ask any Russian person what their grandparents told them about all the death and destruction that Russia, then known as the Soviet Union, suffered during the Second World War and you will find that you would be lucky to find one percent of young Russians who want to strike up a merry tune and invade Germany starting another World War in Europe. The Germans obviously don’t believe that Russia has any intention of invading Germany, as if they did, they would be building up their military instead of starving it to death.
Chances are those Congressional Republicans who oppose President Trump withdrawing those troops from Germany all all covert members of the DC “UniParty” that supports the establishment Military-Industrial Complex, that greatly benefits from among other things keeping as many troops as possible deployed all over the world, ready and able to engage in endless foreign wars that many times are not in US national interests and that just cause a lot of US casualties. Remember one of the principle reasons that Trump was elected in the first place was his pledge to remove the US military from becoming involved, or remaining stuck in endless foreign wars.

Actually, these days, I fear my fellow countrymen, and the Deep State more than I fear the Russians. Put some of those 9,500 troops around Congress, Mr. President, and then the rest on the borders of blue states.

Sorry congress, but you need to stop thinking of your lobbyists and think about this country for a change. Take them all out, and let EU pay for their own defense. The only hurdle I see for them at the moment is telling all those parasites on social benefits that they have to get jobs or immigrate back home.

First you must accept the premise that everything Donald Trump does is wrong. Then it's easy to see where all of the nonsense and bickering is coming from. As much as Europe hates us I would bring all American troops home and let the arrogant elites fend for themselves.
Obama could have made this same move and would have been praised to the ends of the Earth.

A Russian pipeline —opposes by Trump — now provides Germany with the majority of its natural gas. The Russians can cripple Germany without one soldier stepping foot in Germany.

Most of the Republicans have the same mindset as so many of the generals, who haven't won a war in decades. They must never ever rock the boat; they might get noticed and voted out. Useless.
