This breaks my heart, and I pray for Shay every day. God willing, he will not be paralyzed and on a ventilator the rest of his life. I went and donated last Thursday. I was able to tell the police and volunteers that our family backs them 100%. Vegas really is a caring community and not Sin City. One more thing, I hope the shooter rots in jail.

On the subject of "I can't breathe," in a very real way, BLM will be restricting this police officer's breathing for the rest of his life, or should I say living death.

Was Edgar Samaniego in the country legally? I can’t find any background information on him on the internet unless, of course, he teaches neurology at The University of Iowa medical school. It is a lie to say his country of origin and citizenship are not important. They are important and it is another lie to say that only racists care.

Mask-wearing is becoming increasingly politicized.California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, announced Thursday that mask-wearing is compulsory in most public settings, making California the 11th state to mandate people to wear masks. Public spaces include every workspace, public transit, and any facility in which people receive medical care.President Trump, meanwhile, has discounted the benefits of wearing a mask to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. He told the Wall Street Journal in an interview published Thursday that Americans who wear masks are signaling disapproval of him. He added that his biggest problem with masks is that people fidget too much with them to be effective.

In a striking rebuke to President Trump, the Supreme Court Thursday rejected his plan to repeal the popular Obama-era order that protected so-called Dreamers, the nearly 800,000 young immigrants who were brought to this country illegally as children. Led by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., the court called the decision to cancel the program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, as arbitrary and not justified. The program allows these young people to register with the government, and if they have clean records, to obtain a work permit. At least 27,000 of these DACA recipients are employed as healthcare workers.
