The riots have exposed the depth of America’s civilizational crisis. Yet where are the supposed religious leaders of that civilization to decry it? They are difficult to find. To the extent that clergy have been visible at all in the crisis, they emerged not to stop the mob but to join it.
Their statements rest entirely upon the mob’s propaganda. America magazine, run by the Jesuits, provides a dismaying example of this in its editorial last week: “To fight racism, Catholics must hunger for justice like we do for the Eucharist.” It is an odd title for the editorial, given that the Jesuits preside over increasingly empty pews.
“Mainstream” churches are emptying for a reason.

The CEOs, not the stockholders.
The NFL, not the fans (ex fans).
The union bosses, not the workers.
BLM, not thinking blacks ... and now there r many.
DNC politicians, many less dem voters
The clergy, not the parishioners.

Sadly, my own church seems to have been swept up in it. This morning they will be having a black pastor from a sister church elaborate on blackness... I will watch from the streaming feed. They have resumed services outside, since three weeks ago. I have not felt a strong urge to attend, partially because I won't wear a mask and I know some who are staunch maskers. Divide and conquer.

I am a Catholic---and I am disgusted!!!! The Episcopalians have been daft for a long while, and now MY religion is in competition for the title. There is a reason I no longer financially contribute or have respect.........first they allow Priest predation, moving pedophiles from parish to parish rather than dumping and convicting them (do they not CARE about their Flock?) and now they chime in with this total WORD NOT ALLOWED ON LUCIANNE.

I have always said that the person I standing at the pulpit does not get any feed back. Says what they want and people sit there and listen. Not me. I might not cause a ruckes during mass. But the priest hears about after mass. Loud and clear. But now I’m to the point that I don’t care. Stand up for truth. Say something. Then walk out.
And take your envelope in hand. Hold it up and keep on walking

The Left breaks everything they touch. The woke churches can expect continued decline in membership.

The Jesuits are a bunch of limp wrists. The leadership of the Catholic and American Protestant churches have been taken over by women and homosexuals. The result is a dismantling of doctrine, complete absence of discipline, loss of any sense of the sacred, and empty pews.

The churches were shown up for what they've become when they all kowtowed to the governors' shutdown orders. Most are still shutdown and the congregants locked out.

There is no systemic racism. There is poor parenting, destructive schooling, and laziness. There will always be cries of perceived injustices.

I left the RCC in the late 60s. The changes of Vatican II left me confused, and even as a teen, I recognized it was about politics, money and power; not Faith. Churches are overseen by humans, fallible men and now women. I cling to my Faith and need no edifices nor rituals to worship God.

You don't need a church to be a Christian or Jew (I know, synagogue). When churches get involved in political activism, they are no better than the Mosques that indoctrinate people in terrorism and hatred!
A man used to sit on a hillside every Sunday, with a view of the beautiful valley below, while his wife went to church. She pestered him about it every week.
He finally asked her: ''Who built that church?''
She replied "Men from the church.''
Who created all this, he asked, while indicating the beautiful vista before them.''
''Er, God,'' she said.
''Where better to pray and talk to God than here?'' he asked.
The wife never pestered him again, but she continued going to the church. Peer pressure..

Jesus, apparently, was not as woke as those who believe they can help build God's kingdom by severing themselves from His Body, the Church.

I grew up in the Catholic church.
I a young teenager, was confused and disgusted by the pro-Communist (so-called Anti-War) priests such as the Berrigan scum.
When the pedophile underground - not just one priest here and one there, but many of them, and the fact that the church bureaucracy -instead of exposing, prosecuting, and expelling them- covered up for them and moved them to 'unspoiled' parishes where they continued assaulting young boys, was exposed, I just walked away in utter disgust.
