The CDC confirms remarkably low
coronavirus death rate. Where is

Most people are more likely to wind up six feet under because of almost anything else under the sun other than COVID-19. The CDC just came out with a report that should be earth-shattering to the narrative of the political class, yet it will go into the thick pile of vital data and information about the virus that is not getting out to the public. For the first time, the CDC has attempted to offer a real estimate of the overall death rate for COVID-19, and under its most likely scenario, the number is 0.26%.

Can't use good data against President Trump, so there will be NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER in covering this.

"Remarkably low corona virus death rate"? Well, whadayaknow: The idiots who started the DEMpanic can't believe it didn't pan out the way they envisioned it. When the ones in authority telling you how to act are shocked (SHOCKED, I tell you) when the outcome doesn't meet their projected/planned pandemonium, they've lost all credibility.

The media have already shifted everybody's full attention to how the United States has descended into chaos over racial injustice in the protests (some violent, many destructive) over George Floyd's death. There is a double benefit to them from this: First, their existing covid-19 narrative had diverged too far from the reality that without a reset, the China-innocent/Trump-bad/Mail-in-election optic would have become completely unsustainable. Second, it will be easier to divert attention from the huge inconsistencies if the pause gives the impression of more time between conflicting reports. It could be up to a month of real time before covid reporting returns to saturation mode, while it would be effectively a day or two worth of covid reporting between the two. The perception would be that large differences are less obvious if there are long times between observations. While removing the distraction would cause the figures and forecasts to look totally different from what they had been just the day before.

We've known this from the start. I've mentioned it a dozen times on comment sections all over the place. Not once has anyone heard it from the media, tho. And all the poor saps sporting the latest in fine clothing, a mask, to protect them from nothing because they only work to stop you from spreading illness, not the other way around.

Since when does the drive-by propaganda media tell the truth about anything. Their sole job is to assist the DNC in destruction of the economy and people's livelihood. Period.

45% of Catholics and 39% of “Protestant/Other-denomination” Christians voted Democrat in the 2016 Presidential Elections, according to Pew. In other words, Christians have the power to swing the 2020 election—and a responsibility to exercise this power in a way that upholds Biblical values and religious freedom. (snip) Even after the COVID-19 curve not only “flattened” but took a steady downward trajectory in places like San Diego County—California churches were limited to 100 people regardless of venue size. Christians need to understand that churches and religious freedom are being targeted by leftist politics.

I wrote about Michael Pack’s documentary on Justice Thomas in “Clarence Thomas speaks.” The title of the film is Created Equal. We ran to one of our local suburban multiplexes to see it upon its release this past winter, in the good old days when such activities were permitted. If you missed it, however, you may want to catch it tonight on PBS, where it is scheduled to be broadcast at 9:00 p.m. (Eastern), but check your local listings. Journalism is a long-lost art, once used to inform people, reporting news in an unbiased manner, offering reasoned opinion in a balanced way. Now the singular goal of most American journalism is to make President Trump look bad, parsing his words or taking them completely out of context. (snip) The rest of the media joined in, with headlines like, “Trump’s disinfectant ideas horrify doctors and academics.” His comments were described as “musings”, another way of saying “thinking outside the box”, a concept unknown within the Washington DC bureaucracy.

It was hard not to think of President Trump as the Queen of England delivered one of the most moving speeches imaginable in this difficult coronavirus-plagued time. President John F. Kennedy famously observed during a gathering of Nobel Prize winners: “I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge, that has ever been gathered together at the White House — with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.” And so it is again with President Trump’s daily assemblies at the White House featuring some of the world’s leading public health experts, epidemiologists, business leaders and economists. Clearly, Mr. Trump listens carefully to his panels of experts. And — clearly — these experts often clash.

Sickness due to the coronavirus is real. Death — at least some — due to the coronavirus is real. But how much is real versus how much is a best guess? Unfortunately, we don’t know. Even more unfortunately, we can’t even ask without facing a barrage of criticism from a variety of camps. History may very well show that the biggest casualty of the coronavirus outbreak may not be the body count, but rather the ability of a population to think critically, to analyze rationally, to arrive at conclusions based on fact and logic, not wildly fearful emotions.

The Washington Post recently touted "an alarming new scientific model" that warns that treating COVID-19 like a somewhat more severe strain of flu won't cut it. The model predicts over a million U.S fatalities unless we shut down all non-essential mingling until a vaccine is developed, "which could take 12 to 18 months at best." Pretty bleak stuff. In fact, that's about the bleakest take on COVID-19 you'll find. Let's run with it. Let's momentarily not raise a fuss about having no reason to trust the model's underlying algorithm or whatever unknown assumptions about the virus generated its scary predictions.

A federal appeals court has rejected a lawsuit from Congressional Democrats who accused President Donald Trump of violating the Constitution by receiving profits from foreign governments' spending at his luxury Washington hotel and other businesses. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals decision did not address the legality of Trump's business dealings, but held that the more than 200 Democratic senators and House members who banded together in 2017 to bring the suit against the president lacked legal standing to do so.
