Horrible, but the driver apparently didn't see him. What are we to expect in situations like this? What if these rioters attack a car with people and even children inside? What would have happened to him and the other drives if they had been dragged out of their vehicles? These lawless ones seem to think there should be no consequences for their criminal behavior. In my former occupation, officers in my organization were trained in, among other things, defensive driving techniques to get out of situations just like the one described in the article. Granted, these were for dangerous assignments, but innocent drivers being attacked by lawless individuals is no less dangerous. I hope this driver isn't arrested and/or prosecuted for this.

I feel bad for the driver - and all the crap he'll have to deal with. Investigation, lawyers, employer, and the mental anguish of knowing someone basically used his vehicle to commit suicide. And of course the meatheads who will somehow BLAME him for the death. I don't know what protocol is for driving when stopped by a mob of rioters, but I think DRIVE HARDER is the proper response.

Fire the UPS driver. His second trailer's door did not have a lock, evidently. No way those nancy boy demonstrators could have had the time to enter and loot that second trailer. UPS has a standing rule that all trucks are to be locked when in use. The only time a door is not locked is during egress and access by the driver or crew at the depot.

I believe that President Trump essentially warned rioters that when they engage in that violent criminal activity that they could loose their lives by many different means. While the leftist and liberal Democrats and their media minions as usual demeaned the President’s comments and warning, here we see an example of what Trump was talking about.

Remember the 1975-circa radio ad - hire the Vet, you never know when you need a tail-gunner for your beer truck.... Also brings to mind a few years ago in rural Guatemala when we were drilling a water well for the community - the Pepsi truck drove by with three guys: 1 driver, one guy litterally riding (with a) shotgun, and a third helper. Had cash on board from route sales.

Trump, as happens from time to time, fumbled the details but the intent was exactly about this. He basically said that when people choose to riot, bad things can happen that are beyond anyone's control. There have been several Black owned businesses destroyed as well. Some of these people put all their assets into setting up these businesses and will not be able to rebuild. A year from now, the community will be complaining about the lack of businesses in the community. They will complain it is racist. It is not. It is common sense not to have a business in an area that has riots and businesses are looted and burned. If the people cannot control themselves bad things happen.

The way I understand it, the two trailers are connected to one another by some sort of cables and the first trailer is connected to the cab of the truck by, I would guess, more cables, and this dopey kid decides it would be fun to stand on the cables between the two trailers. Of course, it was a stupid idea and he fell off and lost his life. I'd have the guy checked to see if there was any kind of drugs in his system. What he did was a little beyond false bravado. And, of course, the driver did not see him. He was trying desperately to stay alive while driving on the highway, at night, with rioters banging on his truck, and God only knows what they might be throwing at him while he's just trying to keep the truck on the road and get home.

The rioters blocked the highway. An Amazon Prime truck stuck in the traffic was looted. The FedEx truck was pulling two trailers. The criminals broke the seal on the back trailer and looted it. They moved to the first trailer to continue their looting and, according to reports, the guy who was killed was working to break the seal on the first trailer when the truck started moving and he fell. Amid the scenes circulating on social media this week of protesters and rioters and burned out storefronts and police barricades, two of them stand out as harbingers of what all of this means for the future of mainstream American society. The first was a video clip of a small group of white people kneeling down before a group of black people. Though others may have forgotten, we are still recovering from the whiplash induced by Minnesota Democrats' about-face on the forces behind the riots that have convulsed the Twin Cities.State leaders stood idly by last week as the Twin Cities burned. Once you understand the larger objectives, everything becomes a sequence of predictable events. The term “community policing” has been used for several years by groups advocating for radical changes to law enforcement; however, behind the innocuous phrase is really a much more serious agenda. If each community can determine the enforcement of law, then essentially all communities can eliminate the underlying law itself. Remove local enforcement of law and the local community can independently assemble a social structure separate from all other binding contracts that frame a larger societal compact. Amid nationwide protests ignited by the police-involved killing of George Floyd early last week, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced that up to $150 million will be cut from the L.A. Police Department as part of relocating some $250 million from the city’s budget to fund programs in communities of color. The United States has been rocked by widespread protests demanding justice and social reforms since Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, died May 25 after being pinned to the ground by the knee of a white police officer against his neck. Garcetti called Floyd’s death during a Wednesday evening press briefing “a modern-day lynching” and the

Gabby Orr, White House reporter for Politico, issued a string of demonstratively ill-toned questions following President Trump’s visit to St. John’s Episcopal Church, asking why he did not pray or read specific verses from his “prop” Bible. Orr made her remarks in response to a tweet from Trump campaign Coalitions Director Hannah Castillo, who praised Trump for boldly walking through Lafayette Square to visit St. John’s Church, which was set on fire the night prior. The president stoically held up a Bible upon arrival — an action that drew both outrage and criticism from progressives, celebrities, and media personalities.

What would have been sacrilege in New Orleans on Tuesday was a rallying cry for some on Wednesday. Video posted by Bryn Stole, an investigative reporter for the Advocate and Times-Picayune, shows protesters chanting, “F–k Drew Brees.” The Saints quarterback has been widely criticized for comments saying he would never support NFL players kneeling during the national anthem. Brees signed a two-year deal this offseason,

Drew Brees does not believe he is the “enemy.” The Saints quarterback apologized for his comments on Wednesday, when he told Yahoo Finance that he would never support players who kneeled during the national anthem. The comments were quickly rebuked by Brees’ teammates, others in the NFL, athletes like LeBron James and some New Orleans residents. “I would like to apologize to my friends, teammates, the City of New Orleans, the black community, NFL community and anyone I hurt with my comments (Wednesday). In speaking with some of you, it breaks my heart to know the pain I have caused. In an attempt to talk

I'm puzzled. With a hate group like the KKK, it seems that no three Klan members can meet without at least one of them being a FBI informant. So how in Heaven's name does a violent anarchist group like Antifa, which has been around in its present form for over ten years, manage to fly under the radar? Why hasn't Antifa been infiltrated and its organizers exposed? It can't be that hard to do. These people are not like the Mafia or the hardcore communists of the '40s and '50s with their cells and codes. Antifa is composed of pampered punks.
