On Memorial Day, in Central Park, a white woman—derisively dubbed “Karen” before she was doxed as New York City resident Amy Cooper—lost her cool after being confronted by an apparently outraged birdwatcher (a black man) named Christian Cooper (no relation). After threatening Amy Cooper’s dog (by his own admission), and telling her that he would do something “you’re not going to like,” Christian Cooper began to record the visibly distraught dogwalker, who then called the police, emphasizing the race of the man she claimed was harassing her.
Christian Cooper’s video was posted online, and, within hours, a Twitter mob

“We do not tolerate racism.” The Twitter mob celebrated. But we firmly support rabid, lawless vigilantism and we'll dox you if you disagree even a little bit.

Now if the races were reversed, the lady black and the bird-watcher white, and the call had been "a white guy is harassing me here." who, then would have taken the rap.

This is the predictable result of two entitled liberals clashing over a minor incident and turning it into a nationalized drama. I could not care less about either one of them.

She should sue her (former) employer. She was not representing it, nor was it even named until the Twitter mob published it. She did nothing illegal. Telling police that the man was black was a statement of fact, and should not have mattered in the response.
Liberals just hate it when political correctness backfires and wounds one of their own- especially when they didn't know their victim was one of them!

Yes she's an idiot. I really cant stand the Karens who have emerged of late to belittle us, bully us, and call the law down on us for these silly corona slights.
But she was an idiot on her own time, not wearing a company uniform or in a company car. Had "the internet" not ratted her out, her employment would never have been known. This is wrong on several levels. Her opinions are her own and what she does on her own time is her own business. The tyranny of the minority again.

The only winner here is the dog who I believe was removed from her "care". She certainly was dragging that little pooch around at the end of the video. Clearly she should never be a pet parent as she is not suited for that responsibility or privilege.

Okay. You're in Central Park, not exactly a quiet little oasis of trees and some lady's dog is bothering the birds? Really? And if I call the police because some person is threatening me. I sure as heck am going to provide the person's physical appearance which includes skin color.

My biggest problem with all of this is/was the fact that rather than putting the dog on a leash, she almost strangled it by holding its collar. As to the "innocent" bird watcher, if his comments are real, he was playing the race card as much as she was.

Karen wigged out, understandably, since he seemed to be threatening her dog. And then the silly dog was jumping around while she was trying to get it leashed with one hand while calling 911 with the other. It's not going to be a good look. But this whole episode is more about our national insanity with "racism" than anything else.
By the way, this piece refers to the "de jure" racial discrimination of the 1960's. Apparently the author hasn't heard about the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

His sister edited the video prior to posting it. He kept dog treats in his pocket because when he's out he often encounters people with their dogs unleashed. She was apparently concerned he might poison her dog (I'm going to do something but you won't like it) -- while he wasn't going to poison the pooch, there was a slightly gleeful sinisterism to his comment. Look, I don't care what color he was, if a stranger offered a treat to my dog in the middle of a park/forest, I'd be concerned. In my mind both of them acted like asses. And she should sue her former employer - they caved way too quickly. Who gave him a badge to harass dog walkers? Is everyone giving him too much room for b.s. because of the color of his skin? We are becoming a nation of screwed-up victims.

This could be the opening line of a joke.
