It's so nice to have a beautiful First Lady, and I'm sure the coat didn't get paid for with taxpayer money like moochies dud duds did...

Gorgeous coat! On Moochie it would have made her look like Moby Dick.

The best part is that the coat has been bought by her own money. The Mooch or the Beast would have foisted it on the taxpayer.

I would say that Mrs. Trump gets one heck of a purchase discount just to select and wear particular designer clothes in official and public settings.

I’m so thankful to have a POTUS and First Lady who genuinely understand and love America and the American Ideal of the freedoms and greatness so many have sacrificed and died to establish and to preserve.
How sad that the purpose of the event and the day was marred by the mean spirited pettiness, and visceral animosity so relentlessly shown toward them by journalists in what purport to be news stories. Is there nothing sacred enough anymore that the focus could be on those things?
How important is the addition of hateful comments about our beautiful First Lady compared with the solemnity of honoring the very means by which these people have their 1st Amendment rights? Twitter is available for anyone to see without making the story about it, and an advertisement for a fashion designer!

Gucci will pay for this insult. How dare Gucci sell Orange Man Bad's wife a coat! The nerve. Boycott!!
If she was a Demo-rat, instead of a real Republican, our beautiful FLOTUS would be on every talk show and on the cover of every "woman's" magazine in America. A pox on all of them!

One of the many reasons why I despise Michelle Obama is that, as far as I can tell, she never appeared at the events such as the wreath laying at ANC, MOH events, national law enforcement events, etc. Yes, she did attend a 9/11 memorial in NYC but she should have stayed home (in the house built by slaves (TM)) for her crappy attitude that day.
Melanie is (almost) always in attendance at these events.

Melania is gifted many clothing items from top designers. She was a successful high fashion model and designers are eager to her to wear the clothes they provide to her. She's a stunning living billboard for them. In fact, with her beautiful physical appearance, posture and the way she handles herself in public, she never disappoints and looks gorgeous every time.

Someone with class should mention to Catherine Armecin how déclassé it is to mention the cost of an item of clothing. To be sure Mrs Trump is gorgeous beyond words and her wardrobe is in keeping with her husband's income. But she would be dressed thus were she not First Lady. I remember fondly Mamie Eisenhower and Pat Nixon's ''cloth coat.''

Is anybody missing the Sasquatch Michelle Obama on this memorial day with her stair prancing husband tossing a wreath on the ground while Mooche says, "all this over a flag"?
I love this family in the nation's White House and the grandeur they brought back to it. Thank you Mr. President and Melania.

I'm sorry, but I always compliment the lovely First Lady's clothes and style. She no doubt pays for her clothes (I hope), but right now in these terrifying times for so many average Americans, her "stepping out" in outfits that cost enough to feed a lot of people - or maybe help with rent? - these ceaseless photo-ops are a little oppressive. (Last week it was bright orange high heels at the whopping cost of $26,000!)
Everyone I know is wearing their favorite T-shirt and shorts. Over and over again. And they're looking pretty ratty. Wouldn't it be an expression of sensitivity to the struggling American people for her to tone down her extravagance and "step out" in less expensive clothes? Rent and house payments are virtually impossible; citizens in despair are committing suicide and despite the low cost of gas, we still can't afford to travel to the "essential" outrageously expensive average funeral.

I do not agree with poster 12. Our First Couple gives us something good to look at and think about. We already know they both love America.

We have a wonderful first lady who obviously cares about this country and the office. But I find it annoying that all the articles about her focus on what she's wearing and not on who she is and how much she graces the United States.

Makes me enjoy all the problems Anna Wintour is having holding her position in fashion reporting all the better.

From Sasquatch to stunning in one presidential term. Thank God we have a First Lady that has always been proud of her adopted country!

#12, I dress as if I were going to work even if I am spending the day at home and I’ve done it for years. Especially during this idiotic pandemic, it makes me feel good to look nice (and my hubby likes it too). There’s no reason to grub around the house and make yourself feel even worse. And if your tee shirt is getting ratty, try washing it or go buy a new one online.

So what, she wore an expensive coat. Only a socialist would be envious of someone wearing an expensive coat when you can't afford one. Her husband has millions and did not spend a penny of taxpayer money on the coat. Unlike Obama that few from Hawaii while Michelle stayed behind and flew home late costing the government about $250,000.

Maybe some are impressed when wealthy frauds pretend to be just 'folks' and go slumming, but most people resent fakes. Unlike the usual slobs from DC the President and First Lady were very successful before coming to the WH. This IS normal for them. Has been for years. They have NOTHING to apologize for. Prior to this world wide bio attack from China, President Trump provided all those poor, struggling, people #12 mentioned with the strongest economy in 50 years. For some strongest ever. Now he is supposed to pretend to be poor to show some kind of solidarity?
No, he will goose the economy back into shape after the weirdest shutdown in history. If anyone can do it, it is the guy who took what BO left, who was told, those jobs will never come back, who needed a magic wand to do what he did. It sure as Hades won't be a filthy, lying, stupid rat who will do it. All they do is arrest people who don't follow worthless decrees rats suddenly feel entitled to put on their subjects while they ignore their own 'laws.'
