How Biden Could Be Handing
Trump His Reelection

In national polling, former vice president Joe Biden is the clear 2020 front-runner. He's up nearly 5 points in the RealClearPolitics polling average; he's up in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida and Arizona. That's because Biden campaigned as the anti-Bernie Sanders: a "return to normalcy" candidate rather than a transformational one. His entire pitch relied on his high name recognition, the general perception of his likability and his unthreatening demeanor. The coronavirus pandemic merely underscored this pitch. Biden hasn't waned in the national polling since the pandemic -- his lead has been utterly consistent. That's true even though Biden has been relegated to his basement, gaffing through completely anodyne statements about COVID-19,

In national polling, former vice president Joe Biden is the clear 2020 front-runner. I hear this every day and I'm almost as sick of hearing it as I am about hearing another velvety-toned, sugar-coated coronavirus scare commercial. Usually, I expect to hear this garbage from Juan "To Me" Williams. Who exactly ARE these people 'they' are allegedly polling nationally? Only Commucrats?

The article is rather self-serving. President Trump certainly doesn't need advice from Ben Shapiro on how to win an election. Shapiro's generalities are worthless fodder. In case he missed it, this coming election will be won on the Trump team's mastery of the factual details and not on generalized sound bites. The fact that academics have trouble thinking because they cannot handle the complexity of factual realities is exposed in Shapiro's article.

Calling Biden the ‘clear front runner’ based on Democrat polls is actually humorous. At first I thought he was being sarcastic. Whatever. The Democrats have had themselves on full display during this pandemic. Their own voters have been subjected to the treatment they think everyone else should get. Biden’s policies are not going to get support from the American people. Neither would Sanders’. Voting for at least 4 more years to keep them out of our lives.

Oh dear! Looks like paycheck conservative Ben Shapiro is now hiding the most prominent evidence of his stupidity behind a paywall. He used to claim his March, 2016, Never Trump article at the link above was an essential declaration of his conservative principles. Now he wants to charge admission. I guess it really is all about the Benjamins with Ben. Nevertheless, Shapiro's article is well-remembered in these parts. He said he would never vote for Trump. Ever. He said Hillary was less dangerous. He said Trump would lose, betray, and destroy conservatism in no specific order. He implied that voting for Trump was tantamount to racism. In short, Ben Shapiro managed to pack more pompous, self-aggrandizing errors into less space than any other Never Trumper. You can still find most of the article's content at the Breibart link below. Best of all, Ben won't make a dime. Which brings me to my more general question: Why is Ben still in business? Shapiro makes his living by claiming to be conservative. But why would I pay anyone to be this persistently, stupidly, and insultingly wrong? I wouldn't. I don't click, read, or remunerate a Never Trumper in any way I can avoid. In 2016, they were the enemy inside our gates, and some continue to serve our enemies (e.g. see Shapiro on Andrew Yang below). I want them all fired. I want them all unread out of the conservative movement. No more Never Trumpers. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2016/03/05/ben-shapiro-explains-why-hell-never-vote-for-trump/ https://loomered.com/2019/08/01/ben-shapiro-who-never-supported-trump-pumps-up-democrat-yang/

Pollsters can achieve any results they like simply by choosing the sample. We would see Andy Cuomo or that Whitmer Witch as the front runner if that was what they wanted us to see. The validity of polls was forever crushed when Hillary bit the dust.

You tie that in with his sniffing hair attack on women and children and think his supporters must be stupid and delusional. There is absolutely no comparison between the abilities of the two men. If voters were comprised of honest people on the right side of the Bell Curve, the polling would be around 95 to 5 in Donald Trump's favor. I have no idea what people see in Joe Biden except for that "D" behind his name, which clearly should stand for "Dunce." Half of this country is either mentally ill, drunk, on drugs or they have no idea that there is an election coming up. We laugh at Liberals, who sometimes can sound coherent or act like they are mostly human and dress like it but that blank look in their eyes when they start preaching their learned philosophy tells the story. It's like human cloning began decades ago and Adam Schiff was used as the base model.

Trump wins and the dems claim election cheating and fraud this giving then legitimate reasons to conduct investigations one right after another for the next four years. I turned on election results in 2016 around 8 pm because I saw a few major states running close to even with PDT slowly creeping up. As he began to win a few of those states and the talking heads on the news looked like they were panicking and beginning to cry, I could not turn it off. When Hillary's mouthpiece announced that she went to bed and there would be no results announced until the next morning, I jumped up and gave a whoop around 2 am. Best night I had in eight years.

#8 #13. If your views are based on 2016, your judgment's out of date. Shapiro didn't vote for either HRC or Trump in 2016. He's a California resident, so it made no difference anyway. He's has great coverage on the Coronavirus as well as politics. My left-wing brother hates him. That's all you need to know.

A few hours after this column appears on the internet, more than 30 liberal activists will meet online to plan your future. The gathering is called the "Friday Morning Group." It comprises, according to the New York Times, "influential figures at labor unions, think tanks, and other progressive institutions." These influential figures, the Times goes on, believe that when Democrats last had full control of the federal government, between 2009 and 2010, they did not "take the initiative in specifying plans for achieving large-scale change." They hope to correct this mistake. What happens on November 3 might give them the chance. Buoyed by polls that show Joe Biden

Whatever got into the rising star Democrats who won big by losing in 2018? No one who won was half as impressive as Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke of Texas and Stacey Abrams of Georgia. O’Rourke outperformed expectations when he lost by only 2 points to incumbent Ted Cruz in Texas. Abrams was actually favored to win but lost an open-seat race for governor in Georgia to Brian Kemp by just 55,000 votes. She nearly got enough support to force a runoff, but not quite. These two had until recently been little-known legislators — he in the U.S. House and she in the Georgia state Senate. Party leaders longed to have them run

Look, there is a difference between “murder” and “killing.” Murder is purposeful and indefensible, regardless of degree. By contrast, humans value professionals who kill ants, spiders, roaches, and termites. Killing is more nuanced. Soldiers kill the enemy, and that is the whole idea. Police kill bad guys, and that usually is very good. Store owners kill people who hold them up, and that usually is fabulous. Other killings are not acceptable. Thus, accidental killings still are tortious, if not always criminal. Automobile and other roadway killings. Accidents at home. And then there is Cuomo. I do not quite fathom the mind of the quintessential New York Democrat liberal.

An extensive National Review cover article by Andrew Roberts asserts that “we must teach Western Civilization.” He is correct that Western Civ should be taught, and not just as an exercise in the self-flagellation of critical theory. But studying our cultural heritage without living it is only intellectual embalming, and some champions of Western civilization may prefer it that way. Preserving Western Civilization requires living it. This distinction between information about a tradition and living it is obvious in religion, in which study does not in itself instill belief. Unlike instruction at the local parish school, a secular college’s religious studies course is not meant to inculcate Catholic belief and behavior,

Atheists who believe in this life alone are more concerned with health and safety, Professor Pinker suggested in a Tweet, while Christians tend to devalue “actual lives” and live a riskier existence. Belief in an afterlife is a malignant delusion, since it devalues actual lives and discourages action that would make them longer, safer, and happier.
