Crenshaw nails what’s fueling deep partisan

U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw exposed what he thinks is really behind the partisan divide in the nation over reopening efforts in the wake of the coronavirus crisis. The Texas Republican addressed the “psychology and morality” of the politics behind why Americans are so polarized over the country getting back to a sort of normal following the ravages of the pandemic in an op-ed for The Wall Street Journal.“The debate over reopening the economy has a peculiar characteristic: It breaks down almost entirely along political lines,” Crenshaw began the piece titled, “Why Does Reopening Polarize Us?” “Liberals emphasize the dangers of an open society,

What's 'fueling' the 'deep partisan divide' is Americans on one side and commies bent on the destruction of the Constitution and the Republic, on the other. Period.

I think we can add to the reasons Blue States are not in any hurry to open. One, Crenshaw is correct that many College grads, with jobs in Corporate offices, are in no hurry to go back to work. They haven't lost a paycheck and they have gained the freedom of working at home. No commute! Work in your P.J.s. and enjoy life at home with the Family. Also, those on Unemployment are enjoying the same perks, but with partial paychecks boosted with $600 per week on top! They have more money than they have had in their whole lives! Add to that the Stimulus check and they are living large. Heck no! They don't want to go back to work and lose all that free money! So, the Libs in the Blue States are pretty satisfied with their lives right now. It's the Conservatives in those states who are out there marching and demanding they be allowed to open their Business or just go back to their Jobs! Democrat Governors are going to drag their feet as long as they possibly can before opening their States, and then the opening will be painfully SLOW! They think this will hurt Trump in November. I think it will only bring out thousands of angry conservatives who may have stayed home in November. They're mad as hell and they're going to vote!!

This is the very reason that there should be no more stimulus. It's over. If they keep sending money to the blue states, they will never reopen. We in PA are being held captive by the crazy Governor Wolf. Please President Trump, NO MORE STIMULUS.

A bunch of politicians are living the opportunity of a lifetime. They get to micromanage what they consider their fiefdoms (states and cities). Unfortunately they will destroy what they manage and ruin the lives of those they control. The people need to take back their power to save themselves from these tyrants. Vote like your life depends upon it. It does.

Democrat governors who are delaying opening are bankrupting their states and putting their citizens out of work. This is a psychological problem and should prevent them from being in their position as governor.

The left shows how hypocritical they are. They continue to advance the notion we should maintain open borders allowing any and all into this country, no need to examine these folks for disease, self supporting means, nor any other pertinent criteria. Yet they lock the citizens in their homes to prevent the plague, thus decreasing the local inflow of cash which makes the wheels go round. The liberals will find that one day they must eat their words and either enter into a world of reality or starve themselves due to the fact they've killed and eaten the goose.

I don't know about a stimulus checks we are in our seventies and never received one. Are the stimulus hand outs over because all we receive are our SS checks direct deposited. Maybe some illegals received the checks this is a bluest of blue states in 70 plus days of lock down going into the summer months. Communism lite must tickle the fancy of leftist governors like it does ours.

Starving rats growing increasingly "aggressive" are starting to become a problem as the coronavirus pandemic continues. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned last week that restaurant closures and restrictions intended to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus have left trash bins less full than usual, cutting into a major food source for rodents. In a battle over slim pickings, some have become more aggressive, leading to reports of rat cannibalism and rodent armies on city streets.“Some jurisdictions have reported an increase in rodent activity as rodents search for new sources of food,” the CDC said.

Harvard psychology professor Steven Pinker said Thursday that the push for reopening society from lockdowns comes from Christianity’s “malignant delusion” of belief in an afterlife. Atheists who believe in this life alone are more concerned with health and safety, Professor Pinker suggested in a Tweet, while Christians tend to devalue “actual lives” and live a riskier existence. Belief in an afterlife is a malignant delusion, since it devalues actual lives and discourages action that would make them longer, safer, and happier.
