House offices will receive funding to buy new laptops for themselves and their staffers if the new $3 trillion coronavirus package passes as is, a draft of the legislation revealed Tuesday. In the seventh section of the massive package, there are only two stipulations for financial assistance for the legislative branch, including $5 million to increase technological advances and inventory for members of Congress and their staff. That number will include money to upgrading 'imaging solution' to meet the demand for 'House imaged laptops.'

If this passes, get ready to see $100 Big Macs. By the way there's a big difference between 0% interest on $24T in debt and 30% interest on $24T in debt. If interest rates go up, say goodbye to the military, social security, medicare and medicaid.

Well isn't that special. What little work these bums do requires nothing more than a #2 pencil and a pad of paper.

A $trillion here and a $trillion there, and as Everette Dirksen once said, pretty soon your talking about real money. Trouble is, we don't have the money.

When Congress is met with conforming to their own laws, they respond that they are contractors, and therefore exempt from the laws everyone else is forced to live with. Ok, so that being the case, contractors provide their own equipment.

I’m a small business owner and am trying to work remotely. Where’s my laptop? (And I don’t qualify for a small business loan because I’m the sole employee.)

Well aren't they special! I think if they don't want to work in D.C, they should RESIGN. Everyone else is going back to their jobs and so should those Pansies. If they don't want to resign, they should get their Rear Ends back to D.C. And NO! No more giveaways for anyone. We have been handing out money like it's from a Monopoly Game. Sooner or later it has to be paid back. We should also cut off the $600 a week the government is giving to people on unemployment. This is above giving them a portion of their weekly earnings at their job. No wonder they can't find anyone to work in the newly opened Restaurants, Bars and Retail stores. Who's bright idea was that!! These people are living large on that extra money. They have no incentive to go back to work!

Please, no. No bill is far better than this monstrosity. I hope the Senate won’t go along with this but if they do, even in part, Trump must veto.

Keywords are if passes as-is. I hardly think it has a chance and even if it does Trump would veto this ridiculous thing in a heartbeat. How about an XO from the Pres that all bills should be only for that which it is intended to do, not that for which we have a massive wish list on how to control everything spending bill.

A contract will be awarded to a computer company. And it won't be to the low bidder. It will be to whichever company donated the most money to the dims. And the laptops will be made in China. And Quid Pro Joe's son Snorter will be given a huge consulting fee. As Harry Truman said: "A honest man can't get rich in politics." Truman went to Washington poor and left poor. LBJ, for one, went to Washington poor and left rich.

Anyone remember when there was a national disaster and for the first time people could donate to the Red Cross by phone ? They remodeled their DC headquarters.
They sent checks to deceased people and we want them to send more? Why should anyone receive up to $6000 just because Nancy included perks for Washington? Single mothers are making out big time. Enough already.

Piglousi should have saved the $30M she spent on the failed Russia, Russia, Russia hoax plus who knows how much on the Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine hoax and she'd have been rolling in money to ensure the House never has to show up for work again. Everything would be dictated by the Speaker and the hottie electronics only turned on for when they have to vote for a bill to find out what's in it.
By the way, will the republicans get the same equipment or will they get old 20 year old equipment? Regardless, hell no to this bill. She's already spent over $3 trillion on previous save our demonrat party bills and now wants to spend the same amount in one total bill? How about the rest of the money? Where does that go? To bail out state union pensions so states can double down and not fund them again to guarantee the whole country has to pay for their largesse?
