As my colleague streiff reported earlier, a “private call” from former President Barack Obama just happened to be leaked to Michael Isikoff.
Strange, isn’t it, how this leak parallels leaks during the Russia investigation that also went to Isikoff with information seemingly meant to undermine Donald Trump? The same reporter who was leaked to about Carter Page. Almost as if there’s a pattern there that we’re seeing once again.
On the call that obviously was private and not at all staged to be leaked, Obama said he was concerned that the “rule of law is at risk”
Yeah, a spontaneous, private, unfortunately "leaked" conversation... insert eyeroll here.
You'd think that with Big Crock Obama's lawyer credentials he'd be aware that more people talk themselves into prison than out.
Keep talking, buddy.

This conversation means very little. We have the e-mails of the two FBI love birds. Their e-mails tell the story about the insurance policy to get Trump and that they must keep the President informed during this entire effort. The gig is up, Obama can pretend he was not involved and it's not working.

The media probably met with Obama & planned the leak. Nothing is coincidental with dems.

From the article: “And the fact that there is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free. That’s the kind of stuff where you begin to get worried that basic — not just institutional norms — but our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk. And when you start moving in those directions, it can accelerate pretty quickly as we’ve seen in other places.”
Rule of law says coercion should not take place either. I find it disgusting that Michael Flynn was coerced into perjury charges because of the threats to his son.
These are Obama sleazy tactics.

Remember the golden days of Obama when nothing was ever leaked to or by the press and all they could do was drip honey when his ame was mentioned? Of course you do. Now the Emperor's dress has fallen off and everybody is noticing.

I don’t know what Obama was aiming for here but he missed the mark completely. He can’t even accurately state what Flynn was charged with. And for him to even use the phrase ‘rule of law’ is laughable.

He has always been nothing but a pimp.

What started out as an Obama Administration and dirty cop campaign to dirty up an incoming President, with the complicit help of irresponsible national media, has turned into an investigation of the Obama Administration DOJ/FBI/CIA by clean cops and a responsible media. Touché.

"sounds like he’s (Obama's) getting awfully nervous"
Turley's takedown is superb. When I first saw BO's statement about no precedent, I thought it was amazingly stupid. People are accused and released "scot-free" all the time due to prosecutorial misconduct. More and more it sounds like BO got his law degree like he got his Peace prize, for no accomplishment.

This sounds like Susan Rice's memo to herself. Play the saint, leak it and hope enough fools are convinced.
Was Obama corrupt? Financially he was always going to clean up on being the black guy who got elected. Netflix and other piles of cash are on top of the table.
Perhaps more dangerous, Obama was ideologically corrupt. No law or official or policy or moral or ethic would prevent him from doing what he wanted because he and his cronies were convinced they were in the right. You can see his reaction to the slightest bit of opposition or criticism.

I can’t read the article due to my ad blockers but I have a couple of comments based on the replies above.
“...no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free.” Has 0bama never heard of Bill Clinton?
As we all know, 0bama can’t cough up a coherent sentence without a lot of “ums” and “uhs” thrown in. Either the text of the phone call was edited or he was reading from a script.

In the real world as opposed to the virulent anti Trumpian world this article would resonate and Obama's comments would be considered delusional, or at best laughable. But that is not the world we now live in and the spin is on.

Obama a law professor made me spew coffee. Where's the proof for that little ditty of a statement.
General Flynn must have done some kind of mental work on Obama for the skinny Kenyan to state opinions of the case he put into motion on the General.

Let's keep this simple. Far from being the genius he is portrayed as-Obambi is in fact STOOOPID. There I said it. Call me racist. I don't care I feel liberated. Not only that - all the "folks" who voted for him-twice no less- were virtue signalling MORONS. All the red flags (pun intended) were ignored. THAT is the big problem with America--too many MORONS here and combine that with all the "hands out" gimmie dats--we may be doomed unless the trend somehow reverses.

Confirming that he's really getting nervous (with good reason), and that he's an unbelevably crappy lawyer. If he had gotten his degree in engineering, I'd want to avoid every bridge and elevator he ever worked on.
Also, huge kudos to Jonathan Turley for his continued truth-telling and patriotism (he's like one of the Last Mohicans...an honest Democrat) in setting this straight. Diogenes, look no further.

I had thought that "Slick Willy" Clinton acted badly in obstructing the transition of George W. Bush to the presidency while the Al Gore multiple recounts farce played out in Florida. That pails compared to the deplorable sabotage of President Trump during the campaign and after the election. If a Republican had done something so traitorous, he would be in prison by now.

Unfortunately, the MSM will report the things Obama's handlers put in the "leaked conversation" as Gospel truth and a very large portion of the population of this country will believe it. Those already convinced by propaganda that Trump and Barr are "fascists" will eat up this apparent confirmation of their beliefs.

Funny how Obummer finally gives a damn about "the rule of law"! So ... genius ... tell us who in YOUR administration unmasked Flynn from the wiretapped call and the FISA warrants and then leaked that to the press? That's a felony. ValJar maybe?
Or how about obstructing justice? Not just in this case, but lying about this whole hoax, misleading investigators, outright fake "evidence" and withholding real evidence that exonerates the prosecuted is also a crime. Worried about that? H-m-m?
And as every crime show on t.v. will point out, Flynn "copped a plea" and "plea bargained down" because he was being threatened. To make it go away, he signed a forced confession and did what his tormentors asked. Basically he did the same thing that Juan McCane had to do at the Hanoi Hilton in order to survive.
Pleading "guilty" doesn't always mean you are ... ya big jerk.

Get into the "Wayback Machine" and venture back to 2016 when the Obamunistas were not only trying to rid themselves of Gen. Flynn, but most importantly, Adm. Rogers. The good Admiral had just discovered the massive FBI "contractor" abuses of NSA searches of raw data going on since 2012. What happened in 2012? Obama first came to office, Robert Mueller was FBI Director w/James Comey as his understudy, James Clapper was DNI, Ash Carter was SecDef, and John Brennan was about to leave the White House for the CIA. All bad actors who would leak stories to the WaPo to undermine and poison the lives and careers of these two Field Grade Officers.
As CTH has summarized recently, all these characters come together to explain the whys and wherefores of the anti-Trump/Carter Page/Russia/Mueller witch hunt/Impeachment charade. The weasels are panicked and scrambling for cover while the noose is tightening. If Durham doesn't bag a few these miscreants, a civil war for the future of this nation will surely follow.

Former President Barack Obama’s remarks about General Flynn being convicted of perjury were wrong and immaterial, as Flynn has never been convicted of perjury. What really happened is that after being threatened with the prosecution of his son by, and while under duress by crooked FBI Agents, Flynn pled guilty to the bogus charge of being untruthful to FBI Agents. All the above is not supposed to happen in America.

I sometimes get the feeling that Obama never went to law school. And this leaked call is a perfect example. He gets the charge wrong and bothers to do no research regarding precedent. I'm not a lawyer and never went to law school but with the internet we can all research these two components. I am perplexed as to why he would put out an audio of his own voice with such faulty information. I would think that other Democrats would be embarrassed by his lack of knowledge, but I guess they are counting on the media to make Obama look smart and of course the media has obliged as usual.
