One of the constitutional freedoms liberals are trying to use the Wuhan virus pandemic as an excuse to shred is the Second Amendment’s guarantee that our right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. There is no asterisk indicating an exception in case of pandemic, so when law-abiding gun owners show up to protest a government’s attempt to infringe on their rights, why should they not show up with the weapons the government is trying to curtail their use of, even take them away if the liberals could. Which part of “bear arms” does Sean Hannity not understand?

I admit I also didn't agree with Hannity's take on the armed Michigan protestors. The right to bear arms is the right to bear arms! That is the whole point-the people are NOT supposed to be afraid of the gvt, the gvt ARE supposed to be afraid of the people. They work for us-and if they decide they have more power over us than the Constitution allows, we cannot be compelled by force to obey. When that imbecile Gov. Whitmer saw armed protesters, she claimed 'racism', because that is what the Dems do when cornered. There was no racism, no shootings, just a display of civil disagreement with the draconian measures the imbecile Whitmer was nonsensically dishing out. Hannity, you were wrong on this one.

I too was disappointed to hear his rant against good Americans. He's a New Yorker though. He knows nothing of freedom. His entire existence has been under the thumb of communists who deny people their second amendment rights, as well as most of the other amendments. To him, tyranny is normal.

The entire point of what people were protesting was lost as soon as the guys with guns were shown on the news. Immediately, all of the protesters became pegged as gun toting crazies out to intimidate people. The guns were not necessary to make the point that the economy needed to be reopened. The guys just wanted to look cool. They hurt the protesters cause. Hannity was correct in this case.

I saw that episode of Hannity two nights ago. As I recall, he was talking over his guests, particularly Dan Bongino. Why does he get them on his show if he isn't going to let them express their opinion? It was just a "show" for his audience. Does Hannity not understand that as the government increases its show of force against citizens, the citizens will come back with an equal show of force. Or does he think they should have shown up with bows and arrows and slingshots? Imagine those optics!!

It’s utterly moronic to think that carrying a gun “makes you look cool.” Carrying a gun is extremely serious business and the protesters are serious. Without weapons, you’re just an insignificant little noisemaker whining that you’re unhappy and the power brokers laugh at you.

I don’t really need a talking head to tell me how to think about something I saw myself.

Please recall Sean is operating in enemy territory these days. This may have been a concession to his bosses. Sean is nearly the only conservative voice left on TV.

I participated in the first protest in Lansing. There was a fairly small group from the Michigan Militia carrying weapons. It was obvious that they were showing off and of course the media honed in on them as representing the entire protest. On the other hand, it looks more and more like The People are going to need to take back our State and if it comes to that the militia will find themselves with a lot of new recruits.

#3, if you think the "entire" point of what people were protesting was that the economy needed to be reopened, you missed the entire point.
If we start self-suppressing our own liberty for fear of being deliberately misinterpreted by those who want to take our liberty away, we might as well give up now. Or at least shyly begin these things with a demure, "Oh, gosh, do you guys mind if we do a little protest here? We won't cause a fuss? Pretty please?"

If preening egos on TV tell you something is uncouth or sends the wrong message, that is a good time to do a gut check and realize you are probably on the right track. If you trust TV you end up thinking two or more people of the same sex or species can be 'married.'
