Project Veritas has a new video out, focusing on funeral directors who are blowing the whistle on the alleged padding of Wuhan coronavirus death totals. The Project Veritas folks spoke with funeral directors out of New York who believed that the deaths were being attributed to the virus whether they were due to the virus or not. The tape reveals a completely haphazard approach, as James O’Keefe observes, marking down people as having the virus whether they had it or not. If people died at home people would rather put “COVID” rather than have to go into the home if the person had a fever,

Comments:

I wonder if there is some incentive to do this unique to New York or if it's going on everywhere.

There IS financial incentive for a COVID-19 death if the patient is uninsured. From what I recall, there are Federal funds for treating UNinsured COVID-19 patients whereas other diseases... no funds. There was a man who fell from a ladder and died of a traumatic head injury in PA. He tested positive. He was written up as a COVID-19 death. Same for some homeless addicts who OD'd. Money in the bank for hospitals if the DC says COVID-19 and the patient does not have insurance.

And if I, as a physician, bill Medicare for a diagnosis and code it in a higher paying category than it truly is, it is called “up-coding” and I can be charged with The felony of insurance fraud and go to jail and lose my license.

Except in cases where a body has been mangled due to an accident, how would a funeral director be any more qualified or knowledgeable on the subject than the average Joe on the street?

Nobody knew the true mortality rate or the contagiousness factor for COVID-19. And, here is a little secret - they STILL DON'T! China lied over and over. Yet, they were literally locking and welding shut entire apartment buildings in Wuhan. In that case, you have to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. To date - the overwhelming majority of deaths are over 65 with pre-existing conditions. And, nearly 60% of all deaths were from Congregate Living areas like nursing homes, prisons and cruise ships. Given what we know now: Everyone under 40 should immediately be released from lockdown. Everyone under 65 can be released with enhanced precautions - like masks. Everyone, staff and residents, of Congregate living facilities should be immediately tested. And, their lockdown precautions should be upgraded where possible.

#3 this is why in Pennsylvania the coroner is to rule on the nature of the death. There was an article last week about the PA coroners not being given notice of "corona deaths".

As of May 4, the provisional death count from the corona virus, according to the CDC, is 38,576. A far cry from the 65,000+ I have seen published elsewhere. Who to believe, who to believe?

It is going on everywhere OP. I have talked to some residents of Cali who have family who are in positions to know these things, and yes, coroners and other avenues that handle death counts are being forced to call all deaths corona deaths, even if they are not. Democrats have political (getting Trump) and financial incentives (more money from the Feds) to do just this, play silly buggers with the numbers.

OP, it is going on elsewhere. There are two ER doctors in California, Drs. Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi, who held a press conference last week saying the same thing and also saying it's time to open up. The video of the press conference was removed from YouTube. The claimed they are hearing from doctors all over the country. Fortunately the video can still be viewed in this link from Moonbattery: https://moonbattery.com/frontline-physicians-depart-from-official-covid-19-line/?fbclid=IwAR20-LzCt8vy1WA01oJFyub8v_9Cd1HwkoA1rv05_4LTDOmubWzKPcMkuxE Please, everyone watch the video. On CBS's Face the Nation on Sunday, former Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb said social distancing and other mitigation measures put in place to stop the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus don't appear to be working as much as public health experts had hoped. "When you look across the country, it's really a mixed bag," Dr. Gottlieb explained. The former FDA chief said while New York is really driving the national statistics, other areas of the country are continuing to see a rise in the number of coronavirus cases. When the weather permits I like to work in my little backyard here in Brooklyn. It’s a 20’ by 25’ postage stamp of cement and dirt surrounded by the small plots of my neighbors. Over the past couple of weeks as New York City has endured its lockdown, I have noticed one neighbor, day in and day out, cutting people’s hair a few yards down. At first I thought maybe it’s just family haircuts, but unless this guy has old testament levels of offspring, it became clear he had set up shop. I even saw the cash exchanged once or twice.

In the eyes of many, Dallas salon owner Shelley Luther has become the latest face of justified resistance against governmental tyranny for her steadfast refusal to back down on keeping her business open despite the prospect of going to jail. Luther’s Salon a la Mode opened for business last Friday, then promptly got slapped with a court order to close because of coronavirus restrictions. Instead of meekly complying, as most others doubtless would have, Luther stood outside her salon and literally ripped the thing to shreds. Indeed, it was a moment that would have made Patrick Henry proud.

“Where’s the Beef?” was once just a funny (yet successful) advertising slogan. But now, it could soon be an actual question on the minds of many shoppers. Amid the coronavirus crisis, some are calling attention to the coming meat shortages the United States faces as the virus continues to ravage our economy. Rep. Thomas Massie has been sounding the alarm for weeks, and the Kentucky Republican recently introduced the “PRIME Act” in an effort to address the coming crisis. The congressman is right to be concerned. (Snip) We could soon see farmers unable to keep their farms afloat, livestock killed in mass with no means to be sold, and hungry

New networks of leftist organizations have been created, fueled by hundreds of millions of dollars in confidentially-sourced donations dedicated to fundamentally transforming how the 2020 election is conducted. Already, these networks have formed working groups, sponsored litigation, and lobbied Congress to pass federal mandates about how the 2020 election should be conducted. They have even funded purported conservative organizations that place articles in conservative publications advocating for the fundamental transformations demanded by the left. The coronavirus pandemic has sparked a frantic effort by the left to deploy massive new funding streams and to activate new aggressive and transformative organizations. All my life, I have dismissed paranoids on the right (“America is headed to communism”) and the left (“It can happen here”—referring to fascism). It’s not that I’ve ever believed liberty was guaranteed. Being familiar with history and a pessimist regarding the human condition, I never believed that. But the ease with which police state tactics have been employed and the equal ease with which most Americans have accepted them have been breathtaking. (Snip) But we are presently living with all four of the key hallmarks of a police state: No. 1: Draconian laws depriving citizens of elementary civil rights.

To grasp the urgency of lifting the ubiquitous economic shutdowns, visit New York City’s Central Park, ideally in the morning. At 5:45 am, it is occupied by maybe 100 runners and cyclists, spread over 843 acres. A large portion of these early-bird exercisers wear masks. Are they trying to protect anyone they might encounter from their own unsuspected coronavirus infection? Perhaps. But if you yourself run towards an oncoming runner on a vector that will keep you at least three yards away when you pass each other, he is likely to lunge sideways in terror if your face is not covered.
