As I’ve noted before, the politicians and experts telling us to shut up, sit down and stay in our homes under virtual house arrest themselves all have jobs to go to and paychecks to collect. They are essential, we are told, as opposed to you and me and most of America, who are not. Leading the pack is Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York, of which it is now being said -- if you can fake it there, you can fake it anywhere. Cuomo has been faking it as a truthful and competent leader of his state.

What insanity. We’ve closed hospitals and laid off health workers across the country in order to treat an infectious disease and prevent its spread. Isn’t that what our entire health system has always had as its sole, core purpose ... fighting diseases and preventing their spread? I have become so incensed by these so called leaders who in many cases are content with and intend to take the greatest country in the world and pi$$ it away!

They want it all, including the food supply chain, to collapse. It's who and what they are.

Agree with you #1 and 3. The democrats will over play their hand as they always do. What Pres Trump needs to do is have his team (new medical advisors) come out and reduce the fear of this virus. The media and democrats made this virus sound like ebola. Once the fear is removed, then these governors will be seen by the public as destroyers, tyrants, suppressors, etc. Fear is the key here. Once removed, then people will start defying this lockdown. The gullible needs reassuring that this is no different then prior viruses and it is okay to come out and live again.

My opinion, as humble as I can get; These so-called leaders are no more than the the guy at the bottom of the hierarchy because they are ALL scared to death of having even the slightest criticism thrown at them, that they have made themselves useless as any so-called leader.
Like the old saying; "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."
FOR THE COUNTRY'S SAKE...MAKE A DECISION!!!!

This is the Democrat party and this is why they are poison. The Republicans can be bumbling and frustrating, but the Democrats are soul destroying and evil. I will never ever understand why people still go begging for this kind of treatment by voting for them. It’s a mystery only God could understand.

FTA: “The illness is death,” said the governor. “What is worse than death?”.... I submit: living under the control of an evil, arrogant, capricious, selfish tyrant. He'd brutish, odious thug to boot. Ideal commiecrat leader.

When it is the governors and mayors (mostly Democrats) that are locking down people in their states and cities, it is hard to blame President Trump for this. However, the Democrats/MSM are trying their utmost to do so. They are trying to level the curve, but not the Coronavirus curve. They are trying to level the approval curve of President Trumps handling of the Coronavirus pandemic.

What is worse than death? Apparently the Gov has never heard of Patrick Henry. Though who’s surprised? Fredo’s bro is just another small-minded tyrant with a D after his name.

“...Cuomo eventually said that if the demonstrators are so desperate for work, they should “take a job as an essential worker.”
This is colossal dismissiveness by a callous and cold-blooded political animal.

Rubber Face Cuomo is the face of the democrat party. Our governess has our state on lock down and threatens everyone with her Nazi Keustopo, the state police, if anyone gets out of line in New Mexico. What New York does she will follow this poor state will die on the vine soon we might as well give it to the illegals.

How many nursing home deaths is Cuomo responsible for? He needs to be prosecuted for his actions against the elderly!

If the lockdown had been necessary why are they broadcasting daily propaganda that is attempting to convince us that it was necessary. Even the commercials of private business have bought into the lie. As expected, most Americans are patiently waiting to be "allowed" to get on with their lives. If we fall as a country because of this Bat Flu we do not deserve to keep America as a country and should spend our dying breaths apologizing to our sacred ancestors who spilled blood and died for it for giving it away so easily.

There is going to be a reckoning from what the leaders have done and it's not their loss in the next election. Worldwide oil consumption is down over thirty percent now. The engine behind commerce has literally come to a stop. It doesn't just turn back on with a switch. Here in flyover country where we clutch our guns and Bibles, ranchers, hog farmers, chicken farmers are slaughtering thousands of animals that YOU were going to eat. (Rio Lindans, there WILL be a meat shortage that will last a month or so at best. It is now unavoidable.) Spot prices are plummeting while packaged beef prices are skyrocketing. There are now almost 30 million Americans unemployed and more to come and that's just U-2, NOT U-6. It took four years to reach 25 percent unemployment during the Depression. It took six weeks to reach almost thirty percent NOW. Our brilliant "leaders" chose the ridiculously easy way out FOR THEM. Impute tyranny for our "safety" and throw 6.4 trillion (so far) at saving the economy. It took Obama and the 535 morons inside the Beltway five years to throw that much onto our debt for almost NO benefit to YOU. They just threw 6.4 trillion onto the debt in six weeks. Only 280 billion of that went to send helicopter currency into your bank account. Almost one trillion to save small businesses was supposed to last until August. It lasted three days. They are GOING TO create another few more trillion in the next few weeks. ARE YOU GETTING ANY OF THIS REALITY DUST? Leadership? Hardly. Wait until the consequences for all this idiocy comes a-callin'. Sorry Arkansas but I shot my purple positivity unicorn decades ago.

All of this overreaction for a Chinese Flu. Crazy. I demand a double-blinded study on the effectiveness of this unprecedented social distancing lockdown. Bill Gates is evil and his models were wrong.

Bolstering the author's arguments, the daily death toll on 4/14 was around 2800. Low and behold, according to the WAPO's coronavirus update website, two days later NYC decided to add over 3700 deaths of people that were "presumed" to have COVID-19 but were never tested (and I am sorry to say this was motivated by the CDC's guidelines to essentially cook the books). The numbers are being manipulated, folks, and the politicians, who were spooked by a desperate-for-relevancy media, are now backfilling the data to justify their stupid, draconian actions. They will keep this up as long as the media can instill fear of this "deadly" virus (whose mortality rate may turn out to be less than seasonal influenza). Also watch as the governors conveniently begin to transfer responsibility of reopening the economy to counties and cities within their states, just in case things go bad and they will be able to point the finger at someone else. This mess will go down in history as one of the most overblown reactions to a disease that has ever occurred, and the American public has borne the brunt of this stupidity's consequences.
