The White House updated President Trump’s schedule Monday morning, canceling today’s briefing by the Coronavirus Task Force. The briefings have been in flux since Thursday’s briefing where Trump’s comments on possibly treating COVID-19 Chinese coronavirus patients with disinfectants or light were wildly distorted by the media, including the Drudge Report which had an image of a Clorox bottle as the lead image for three days in a row.

The Whitehouse should point people to their governors for answers and updates. PPE's are available in bulk on Amazon, shouldn't be an issue. If I can buy 20,000 any business should be able to. Testing is the democrats new red herring. Big business (Amazon, Boeing etc. ) are starting to take employees temperatures as they enter the building and if they have a temp. testing them for coronavirus. So here you have people who felt well enough to show up for work that will now show up as positives. This will increase the infected rate because this group wasn't tested before. This will be the red herring that Dem governors are using to not reopen their states.

Fox News is now blatantly stating on its hourly radio news that the President said to inject bleach for Coronavirus. Catch it at the next hour. We have no friends in the Full Court Press against Trump.

Anybody remember the satire The Kentucky Fried Movie?
"Breaking news: Moscow in flames, missiles on way to New York, film at 11:00"
Yep we have reached that level of insanity.

The Drudge Report, once a source for truth that the mainstream media wouldn't cover, has become a source for panic-inducing lies and exaggerations.

Trump should ignore the press completely. The Fox Radio News that I get on the hour and half hour during Rushes radio show is so liberal it stinks. I never listen to it. And the woman who does the announcing can sneer with the best of them.

Here's a suggestion. Cancel any further press briefings and post an official state and county by county daily table that not only shows cases and deaths but also key demographics (age, sex) and co-morbidities for ALL deaths. Just run that daily and this nonsense will end quickly when the REAL non-impact of the virus on most places in each state is evident.
Add: "To determine the policy conditions in your area, please contact your governor or county administrator."

Agree with #3 and #6 about the Fox Radio updates. They uncritically highlight the latest Dem/ Mainstream Media talking points. Not much different than you might hear from NBC or CBS.

Following up on #7's suggestion, publish a bar graph for each state showing that the peak of the curve has been passed and that death/hospitalization rates are steadily decreasing. The curve is no longer flat, it is in decline.

All I know is that I don't want to hear from Fauci. He's been the head of the NIAID since 1984. Maybe 30 years too long? Have any of the "ace reporters" present at these briefings asked him about the $3.87M given to the Wuhan Clinic to study bat viruses? Was that a wise decision based on China's track record on transparency? What did Obama know about it? Fauci himself hasn't eactly been right about anything since this whole thing started. I realize that at this time Trump can't be critical, I just wonder how he really feels about these "experts."
These Blue State governors need to get a clue too. The horrible governor of Illinois can issue an executive order but the order is only valid for 30 days. Now his "decree's" cannot be enforced by law. And...since his order was first proclaimed on March 20th we are already past it's expiration date. He just ordered us to wear face masks when we get near anyone else. I don't know if that can be counted as a different mandate or a part of the first one.
I heard that other states have the same 30 day rule. It's time to treat American citizens like people with half a brain who can assume personal responsibility and reasonable risks.

#3 More than once I have heard reporters on Fox Radio tell obvious lies, and when they are not lying, they are using all kinds of vocal tricks to highlight something they think Trump has done wrong.
I think it is Proverbs that says, "The hole you dig for others is the one you fall into yourself." After awhile, no one will be listening.
But, now Trump, who has lots of smart, creative people on staff, has a chance to reconfigure the format of his corona virus' briefings.

President Trump needs to announce that, starting immediately, all future briefings will be made directly to the American people.
No more useless and biased Trump-hating fake-news-reporters getting to sit there and attack their president, Donald Trump, every evil way they can.
This virus is not about politics, and so the "reporters" who try to make it political all the time lose their privilege to be there. They need their president, Donald Trump, far more than he needs them (which is not at all)!!!!!
