Amid the confusion, fear, and uncertainty surrounding the outbreak of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic in the United States, one thing is obvious: this country is astonishingly fortunate to have Donald Trump as our president. In predictably trite, small-minded fashion, the liberal media and clueless Democratic politicians have treated the pandemic as nothing more than an opportunity to score shallow political points against President Trump. All manner of "Trump has blood on his hands" and "His Pollyanna-ish downplaying of the scope of the crisis at the beginning cost us valuable time" comments and criticism have been forthcoming on an almost daily basis from the usual suspects.

Not to be contrarian, but no he doesn't.
He could have gone on TV three weeks ago and said "The elderly and vulnerable need to stay at home. The rest of you wash your hands more and don't shake hands, but otherwise steel your nerve and get on with it."
Asking for courage would have required withstanding the shrieking of the twitter babies, but isn't that what he's done for three years?

President Trump has drained any negative meme to the degree it has become hysterical nonsense. His seemingly over the top response to this, is political. He knew it had to be. He strength and leadership will bring out the very best of America.

Excellent summary.
There is NO perfect response to something like this. You can stay on top of things and set the apparently right things in motion but the reality is continually shifting and even people with best intentions make mistakes or are simply not up to the demands of the times. Trump's strength is his ability to analyze, make a decision, and pivot as necessary. He quickly knows who is dependable and who is not and replaces people who can't get the job done. He also cross connects people who need to work together. While he punches back at political attacks, politics don't impact his ability to function at all.
I suspect that a lot of people that think very highly of their abilities, usually in focused areas, are astonished at Trump's ability to assimilate critical information, "get" the big picture, and juggle conflicting priorities. Medical people are focused on medical issues. Economists on the impacts of the shutdown. Political people focus on the political implications. Logistical people on moving things to the places they are needed. Trump manages ALL of it. He is doing an astonishingly good job of it.

I think he's doing a great job. That said, I hope when this 30 days is over, he has everything READY to be up and running. I mean everything, from my daughter's Dental office to the Retail stores, The Hairdressers and the Restaurants! Everyone needs to get back to work! I think Trump knows it and I think he will put his foot down with those who will ask for ANOTHER 30 days and say enough! People, by now, should know the drill! Lets get to work (as former Gov. Scott used to say)!

While I support our beloved President, he's been had by the fear mongering doom modelers. The time is coming very soon where he will have to say "back to work, people will die, we will overcome, and no longer will the majority be ruled by fear." Otherwise, we'll be shutting down every single flu season, no matter how serious. This may cost him politically. This may cost him the election, as the media will blame every single death on him. But the nation's overall health overrides that. God Speed, President Trump.

I just emailed Pelosi reminding her about the Feb 24 video where she was encouraging everyone to come down to Chinatown - everything’s fine, come down and have some fun. I suggested this will be a fine campaign spot for the President.
You can do the same - if you are not from her district you have to send it to her as Speaker of the House and go through another step but it’s worth it. If you need something constructive to do fire one off today.

Obama did absolutely nothing so I kind of resent people who are criticizing President Trump. He is between a rock and a hard place but is trying to lead in the most responsible way he can. I really don't like #1's response but, hey, it is one's opinion. I guess I don't understand because President Trump and Vice President Pence have been on TV trying to get the information out there. Must be a troll or something.

We are so blessed to have President Trump. There are big things happening that will determine, not only the fate of the USA, but of all freedom loving people across the globe. The virus is real, the world wide response is globalist action against the growing nationalist movements. PDT knows much more than we do. I trust him to navigate us through this very dangerous time. Our duty is pray for him, our country and for the world to choose God and freedom.

Since none of us is old enough to remember the Spanish Flu over a hundred years ago, there simply was no model in place for this type of virus. I think most of this is a ramped up hoax, 97% get well, but Trump had to create a response and put it in place. Once he got a grip, he took off and has done a magnificent job. The shortages we are dealing with were created during Obama's term. They used up everything during the H1N1 flu and never restocked. I feel sorry for Trump because you can see how tired he is but he is doing his best and that's all anyone can do. MAGA!
