Any White House reporter who insists on asking the president whether something he said has alarmed people should first be asked to explain the running tally of deaths and infections that cable news keeps plastered on everyone’s screens.
A Bloomberg reporter at Sunday’s press briefing asked President Trump whether he “maybe frightened some Americans” by suggesting in a tweet that New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut may need a federally mandated quarantine.
At a separate press briefing two weeks ago, NBC’s Peter Alexander asked the president if his “impulse to put a positive spin on things may be giving Americans a false sense of hope and misrepresenting the preparedness right now.”

This "crisis" is another case of believe the medial and evil politicians and not your lying eyes. The more this continues, the harder it will be to spin. Americans will become restless, unsure about their futures, and will revolt against an invisible crisis, as they see fewer and fewer cases (as they filter through fake news) and begin to wonder when things will get back to normal. Governors are becoming rulers who are usurping the authority of legislatures and the people. They're issuing edicts that they don't have the power to issue, but most people are ignorant so they comply in the name of safety. When I see people in the grocery store walking around with masks and gloves, I want to ask them if they've stocked up for next winter and if they plan to do this permanently going forward along. I also want to ask why are they there (especially those so careful to stay six feet away); stay home. As a germaphobe, I hope everyone changes and becomes more permanently sanitary, but knowing humans, it won't happen. Unfortunately, this is not a crisis that's conditioning people to be more sanitary; it's conditioning people to be controlled by and obey government who will dictate their every move and completely control their lives.

Seems like it would be better for him just to give it as a speech from an empty room. No reporters, no questions. Their questions are stupid anyway, having been already covered in the speech or just asinine.

I've disengaged from a lot of social media. I follow the news from trusted news sites and from medical sites. The MSM is trash pure and simple. My governor has ordered the closing of all but essential businesses and the mayor has closed all the parks. Thank God I live near Mammoth Cave which has left the hiking trails open. Last weekend there were a number of people walking. They were all courteous and considerate.

Is it my imagination that I saw Jim Acosta at the presser yesterday and of course he did his usual lecture with out actually asking a relevant question? I thought he lost his White House press pass months ago for doing exactly what he did yesterday.

That’s what they do when there’s an (R) behind your name. Simple enough!!

The main stream commie media is the direct enemy of the people, so are many members (like Pelosi) of congress. They prove it every day.

This reminds me of the day I ceased watching and listening to the Drive-By media. I had already had my fill of them, this was just the last straw. The 1989 San Francisco earthquake. Peter Jennings was 'reporting' from the Marina District, some of the worst damage. He got out of his limousine, said a few words, then returned to his limousine and drove off. The place he chose to stop and 'report' had a large fire due to a busted natural gas line on fire. He did not spread his lies for hours and hours, but it had the same effect. People all over the world thought all of San Francisco was burning.

Lucky you #3, they've closed our beaches and parks. Complete and utter effin lunacy over a bloody hoax of a disease compared to the normal flu.

Absolutely no doubt that Trump was right: The media IS the enemy of the people. Trump will get us out of this, and Trump will triumph over those who, like Cuomo, insist that America never really was great.

The questions from the media follow the same example set by the FBI, but instead of being called ''perjury traps'' they are called ''gotcha traps!'' When those media hacks sit down to formulate their questions, their objective is simply to embarrass or set a false narrative, not help the public understand the facts.

Try to tell my family not to watch network news. So many options to learn from on internet and you choose rather than someone doing it for you. Pulled the plug on cable t.v. eight years ago and I MISS NOTHING.

There is a very simple way around this. Boycott the msm.

It is really ideal. We trust Trump, so we will comply. The dems are scared of their own shadow, so they will comply (and cry and scream and curl up in a ball).

I just finished a cross country drive...1500 miles through six states. Never once tuned to news. Enjoyed the largely empty roads. Had a long conversation with a friend who owns a "wellness" business that does flu testing as part of the biz. She has done 16,000 Covid-19 tests, and less than one percent have come back positive. Her biggest client wanted its entire workforce tested. She explained they may come back negative today...but that's today. What about tomorrow? The good news is that the people I spoke to, from check-out clerks, to truckers, to restaurant help...no one is running scared and virtually all of them have had enough of the government and its experts. Several expressed financial not health fears. If they drag this out until May or June there will be loud grumbling. Government will send them another serving of free cheese to shut folks up.

The news has largely become unwatchable because of their Trump-hating hysteria. If it s not one thing there's another. From fake news, to junk science, to flat out lies. Its BS, and most people see it. its sad so many intelligent people have fallen for it. They know better, but persist.
The main challenge for Trump is he needs to reopen the country. We have to get pass the corona virus. The economic damage is worse than the virus itself. Sadly, the media is keeping the death toll for confirmed tests near 2%. Thats how they keep claiming the death toll will be in over a million people. They don't tell us how many people have been tested, and the results are negative.

Unless you have read and understood Roman 13:1-7, you can't understand why even non-believers comply with the duly elected leaders of our country. Representatives of particular districts who do their own will instead of constituents' will, are scoff-laws and infidels. You are not obligated to obey those.

The leftist media's M.O. is simple: whatever it detests or decides is among its political/social agenda, it focuses there.
Some examples:
1. Guns - Virtually EVERY gun-related homicide is proclaimed in outrage by the media, even though there are less than 12,000 gun murders in the US annually (among a population of 350,000,000 and 100,000,000 gun owners), and despite the fact that there are more homicides committed each year with knives.
2. Climate Change - They never highlight/cover the renowned scientists who point out the fallacies in the doomsday models of the climate alarmists, and have given way too much air/ink time to a 16 year old who doesn't know jack about climate science.
3. Corona virus - Because they hate Trump, they can't help but spin this thing in as negative a way as possible. Case in point: I am ashamed to admit I still subscribe to our local rag, and today I could only find a few articles that were not about the virus, and negative/alarmist to boot (even the sports sections nothing but virus-related stories - fortunately, the comics still seem to be "virus free").
Ditch the news media during these times: they are poison, dishonest, and bordering on pure evil. Trump absolutely called it right when he declared the MSM as the enemy of the people. And, yes, I will cancel my subscription.

"So at what point will they admit ignorance?"
Never.
When people are boxed in with a combination of hate, corruption, incompetence, and hopelessness like the dems/media/Left, they will do anything to blame others and refuse personal responsibility. A lot of where we find ourselves is due to past dem behaviors. For example, BO & Uncle Joe not rebuilding the mask supplies after the H1N1 breakout 10 years ago and Cuomo's administration being warned they were under equipped with ventilators and CHOOSING to do nothing about it. If the media is so smart, how come they haven't rooted this out before, especially after the last pandemic. The reality is that they are not going to question dem administrations. They will question Republican administrations. And with Trump as president, anything goes. They are not only ignorant, they are malign.

I think the thing that bothers me the most is the idea that we need "leadership".
I am a free man and do not need to be led; I am not a farm animal. Give me the facts "just the facts" h/t Joe Friday, and I can make my own decisions.
I make it a point to read the Constitution of The United States of America every July 4th and have never read an Article establishing or even mentioning a "leader". Our elected representatives are supposed to be our servants.
No Seig Heil Der Fuhrer, thanks.

We need to gradually reopen. Supermarkets, FedEx, Amazon, garbage collection, ports, all working just fine and providing wonderful services. Construction and manufacturing jobs should proceed. Great time to repair our idle freeways, paint our schools, and restart research at universities. We are paralyzing the country to protect inefficient hospitals that are fearful of dealing with an overload. That Samaritan’s Purse has to set up across the street from Mt. Sinai in Central Park tells the story that Christians can fill the gap, and puts to shame our medical establishment. We have treatments - hydroxychloroquine+Zpak+Zinc, Remdesivir and HIV protease inhibitors - use them now when they are needed.
And everybody should wear a face mask in public.

The headline here is correct. Today Neil Cavuto of the Fox News Channel had Franklin Graham on, as Graham was giving uplifting comments to listeners , Cavuto tried to ask him about the morgues that are popping up in New York City. There is absolutely no doubt that the media is trying to scare and panic the American people, and to create as much controversy as they possibly can do.
