Sane people understand that our President is doing the best he can in the face of a near impossible situation. He cannot stop the spread of the disease nor can he provide a cure nor can he prevent even a single death. He can give hope and stand firm in leadership and not cave in to panic or despair and that is precisely what he has done. He is right to set a possible date for getting things back up and running and should stick to his timetable and ignore those whose sole interest is gaining power and destroying him and this nation (that would be the fear mongering media and idiot dimrats).

He acts presidential, and he shows genuine compassion for the people. When this is over I suspect a landslide victory. People will remember the checks and food stamps that got them over this hump and the economy will be humming quite nicely.

The self-anointed global elitists (aka leftards/commies) meant for this to tank the President's chance at re-election, so they could continue their destruction of the Repiblic. Instead, like all things meant for evil, The Lord may turn it into good, cementing the likelihood that the President will be re-elected.

Trump's approval ratings should be 100%. I admit I gulped on the $2T, but Trump has helped those most in need, the unemployed and small business, with larger businesses restricted to loans for equity, which means the government can sell the equity, when things get better, to pay back some of the $2T. As for the virus, a lot is being learned, which we would have to learn sooner or later with these pandemics. (I still suspect there was unnecessary panic, and overreaction in nationwide shutdowns). As for capitalism, the companies will adjust and come back far stronger, having done a lot of things they should have done anyway.

How can you tell whether or not the liberal media will pick up an incident of gun violence and turn it into a national story? It’s simple: If the shooting is successful, they will give it wall-to-wall coverage for a week. If it is stopped by an armed citizen, however, the liberal media will almost always pretend it never happened or glance over the story with only brief mention or coverage. This oversight is perhaps a bit more understandable at the moment, given the national coronavirus crisis consuming the country and dominating media coverage. But it’s still absolutely worth highlighting the heroic story of a Florida man who on Friday

Poll of the week: A new ABC News/Washington Post poll finds that President Donald Trump's approval rating among all adults in 48%, while his disapproval rating is 46%. Trump scores a very similar 49% approval rating and 47% disapproval rating with registered voters. What's the point: There's no doubt now that Trump is experiencing a bump in his popularity following his response to the coronavirus pandemic. The ABC News/Washington Post poll is quite similar to the Monmouth University poll that came out earlier this week, for instance. But what is interesting to me is that Trump's jump is coming disproportionality from non-voters. Normally Trump does considerably better among voters than among adults.
