Speaking from the White House Monday evening, President Donald Trump announced America will be "open for business very soon" as the country continues to battle the Wuhan coronavirus. "America will again and soon be open for business. Very soon, a lot sooner than three or four months as someone was suggesting. We're not going to let the cure be worse than the problem itself. We're not going to let the cure be worse than the problem," Trump said. "This was a medical problem, we are not going to let it turn into a long lasting financial problem.""Our country wasn't built to be shut down," he continued.

Everything I've read about this indicates it is the FLU. With an effective cure. Wash your hands, don't touch your face, do all of that, but our current, intentional, smashing down of the economy is nuts.
Many of us lived thru the Polio years when no one understood how it was transmitted or how to prevent it and cure it. It was horrible, really bad, but we did not shut down the world over it. As usual instead of informing, the media is feeding the panic and fanning the hate.

POTUS is the only person I will listen to in this crisis. Yes, there have been some GOP Senators who have stood up to the evil demorats attempts to destroy the country. But, frankly speaking, Trump is the only one who makes some sense. The democrats are pushing grandmas off cliffs, they are starving babies, and they are causing job losses that Karl Marx could only have dreamed of. All because of the flu virus. These people are evil, and they should be treated as such. Lets get the country open again, practice practical sanitary measures, and stop listening to this hysterical shrieking from the media.

Good, because the people won't put up with this indefinitely. Then you have riots or some other kind of pushback, especially when they realize the reality isn't matching the hype.

Meanwhile, leftists want to shut down the country until they see sure ruin. The President is turning the narrative away from close everything, help us! to let's get back to life! I like it.

The government workers are still getting paid, happy to stay home and not work. The Fox News anchors are still working and getting paid millions. The NFL players are peeving that they should get $30 million a year, not a measly $25 million. The only ones under sacrifice are those that must work to get paid, and retirees that have seen their savings disappear, no worry about RMD's any longer, nothing left for that. When the medical community is asked for data, they say they aren't sure, don't know--- and we are supposed to shut down the entire economy? Are there any options? No one has explored that question. Too busy on passing $2T dollar omnibus bills. Who is going to make the people that have to pay all these bills whole? Is the government going to pay taxpayers a negative income tax?

My lib sister and her idiot friends are going nuts. She posted on FB some WSJ article saying Trump is thinking of relaxing social distancing. In response I posted the latest about Cuomo considering similar things...I need to sleep tonight so I won’t check the responses. One of her friends says Trump values money over lives—she’s 55 and lives with her daddy in his huge house (her childhood home) and doesn’t have a job—of course she doesn’t care. So over this. Enough already.

Democrats cannot grasp the fact that some people like or have to work. I thought the media was gross before but now they’re gross & corrupt.

Don't mayors and Governors have the authority to declare local and state-wide emergencies? If President Trump has the authority to override the local declarations, I hope he will, and before the lockdowns wipe out half of our economy. (And the resulting poverty will likely end or shorten more lives than will letting this awful Wuhan Flu run its course.

Make America Normal again. Why is this being treated so differently? It's like being in the twilight zone. Trump is probably the only adult in DC. The media is more dangerous than this virus.
