It’s sobriety time for Trump partisans who were feeling wildly upbeat in the wake of the self-destructive Democratic failure with impeachment and from polls showing most Americans expected the president to win a second term.
The primary results Tuesday night in Michigan should be setting off alarm bells in Trump Land. They are so suggestive of a possible Democratic path to victory in November that they remind me of the expert speaking in the midst of a crisis on a TV chat show in the Pixar classic “Monsters, Inc.”
He is a talking pencil who speaks with a Viennese accent as he declares,
Sure John... Whatever you say.

Michigan has to decide if they wants cars made in Michigan or Mexico! Trump brought the jobs back so it's up to them!

The massive Republican turnout for uncontested GOP primaries should have Democrats extremely worried.

The biggest problem I have with this article is that other reports have said that while Democratic Party voter turnout is high in these primaries, which are contested, they are even higher in the Republican primaries, where Trump is essentially uncontested.

Hmm. JP is correct that the dems are champing at the bit and hiiiiiiiighly motivated by hatred. That does scare me.
However, the President is also breaking records for voter turnout, and his peeps are showing up bc dems are trying to disenfranchise us!! Self preservation is a greater motivator than even hatred.
Bottom line, however, is WE DO NOT KNOW who is running yet, as there is ZERO chance either B or S will be on the ticket. Unless they run together and give us an official BS ticket. But such delicious ironies never occur in real life.
Please note: the Sandersnistas are not transferable, period. They may light Detroit on fire but the will not vote for anyone else.
I'm trusting the President's cues. He knows exactly what he's doing and what he needs. I'll listen to him w/my ears and eyes.

All of you Democrats and liberals are dreaming of a Democratic win at all costs, I guess.

I think the argument is legit. Add the illegal aliens voting and the "mature" would-be Trump voters dying every month, Pres. Trump CAN lose. Always remember, the Dems./libs/Socialists will unite and vote for their candidate REGARDLESS of who it is.

Wrong again, Podwhoritz. President Trump will carry Michigan, this fall. Of course the democrat candidate will win in Wayne, Oakland and maybe Livingston counties. That's welfare, college and union country. The rest of the state is a lot more like real America.

C'mon, it's in the bag for PDT. Those numbers are all fake, padded, phoneyed up by the Dems and played by the media to dishearten those who would vote other than Dem.
Yeah, you can take all that to the bank. PDT can't lose; I'm telling you...

I don’t think he is right, but it’s always good not to become complacent. Keep our eyes on the ball—they can and will cheat, steal and lie to try and win. Broken glass, people.

It would be instructive to see where the massive Biden turnout was centered. If it was in Detroit or places near by (Ann Arbor) it would be useful to check to see if the number of votes for Biden exceeds the number of humans alive in the area. It is still worrisome since that would indicate that the Democrats have acheived their dream of being able to raise the dead and get them to the polls in vast numbers. That is the way I expect them to defeat Trump - the Zombie vote. It was always interesting to watch Michigan go Republican until the gigantic, enormous, extra huge turnout from the southeast corner of the state was turned in. Sorta like Pennsylvania and Philly or Ohio and Cleveland (more votes than people with 99.9 percent democrat votes).

What about the big numbers of Republican votes for Trump, who had no opposition?

Sorry to post again, but Trump would have won in 2016 even if he had lost Michigan. The election was called for him after he won Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Michigan was just a bonus.
