Jill Biden has a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Delaware, and she never lets the American people forget it. Mrs. Biden, wife of former Vice President Joe Biden, insists on being referred to as “Dr.” Biden. Her Twitter handle is @DrBiden. The press has largely acquiesced: Even though it has persistent trouble referring to actual pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson as “Dr.” Ben Carson, it is rare indeed to ever see a reference to Jill Biden without “Dr.” preceding her name. There’s nothing wrong with being proud of one’s educational achievements, of course. But Mrs. Biden’s unrelenting insistence on being called “Dr.” sometimes leads to confusion.

This is a great example of how stupid it is to take people who flap their jaws for a living seriously. Like any other air head she hadn't a clue about Jill Biden's qualifications yet there she was on the grand stage of television making crap up. She simply presumed Dr. meant medical Dr., an idiot move, but then heading off to the races making up that she's a great Dr.. And it's the fools like Woopsie who have our children believing that capitalism is incinerating the planet and that we can "tax the rich" (above the 37% the 1% already pay) without impacting the economy resulting in less money to hand over to people who didn't earn it.

I suspect she is a full in participant in the scam that the DNC is setting up right now using Biden. She wants to be FLOTUS in the worst possible way, and she will sacrifice her own husband's dignity and health to make it so. Being a 'Doctor' of education just means she is more liberal than Biden himself is. Probably more thuggish as well.

Having spent 14 years in a university setting, I laugh at the insistence of those holding the Doctor of Philosophy in Education being called Dr. So And So. Reminds me of the old joke where someone not familiar with an academic degree at a cocktail party being introduced to Dr. Whoever. then pointing to their shoulder complaining of a pain. The Ed.D then quipped, ''Disrobe now, and I'll take a look.''

Most doctors of education aren't PhD but rather EdD. My husband who is a PhD in physics but works as a defense contractor after retiring as a Col in USAF doesn't use either title when he introduces himself. He just uses his first name or first and last name. He finds people like Jill Biden pretentious.

College professors don’t normally use “doctor” other than when on campus or doing something work-related. Lawyers earn a J.D. degree from law school, “juris doctor,” or doctor of laws, yet in America no one ever calls them doctor. Police officers call lawyers “counselor,” yet almost no one else does. It’s just another example of libs who believe they’re smarter than everyone else.

Back in the day when there were real journalistic standards (eons ago, when I was a journalism student), we were taught that the only doctor to be referred to in print as a doctor was the take-two-aspirin-and-call-me-in-the-morning type. All else was academic pretension, relegated to academia and not to be legitimized by self-respecting publications.

Like many of her public statements over the years, especially those requiring a modicum of self-reflection, it's not very convincing. The average viewer will understand by then, if they've managed to suffer through the full four-hour running time, what Hillary wishes she could say in front of the camera: "I don't deserve this; I've done nothing wrong." Hillary purports to tell the "unvarnished" story of Hillary Clinton's life, as told by Hillary, her closest friends,

It is a testament to how fringe and unacceptable racism has become in America today — the worst thing you can accuse a politician of is racism. Lying is perfectly acceptable. Flip-flopping is the norm. Failure to keep promises is a given. You will even be forgiven for molesting the intern in the Oval Office. But racism? It is the Scarlet Letter. It was the Scarlet Letter that former Vice President Joseph R. Biden wore just a few months ago. And, no, we are not talking about the time Mr. Biden marveled aloud a few years back about how “clean” then-Sen. Barack Obama was.

The media have been afflicted with a raging case of Katrina virus. There's no known cure for the self-inflicted disease as long as a Republican occupies the White House, but political experts say the Katrina virus will instantly reverse course if a Democrat ascends to the nation's highest office. As you may be aware, "Katrina moment" is to disasters is what Watergate is to corruption. Anything can be a Katrina moment if you add enough sizzle from the media. The "Katrina moment" never quite stuck to any number of President Obama's missteps from Benghazi to the H1N1 outbreak.

It’s not hard to understand why Elizabeth Warren will not be the Democratic presidential nominee. Unless, that is, you’re one of her most zealous fans, in which case getting to the bottom of her departure from the race requires careful scrutiny of the apparent sexism lurking beneath the crust of American culture — a practice that her defenders have been engaged in since her campaign began. Never mind that, if misogyny of any kind is responsible for Warren’s demise, it is that of Democratic primary voters, who overwhelmingly chose the senator’s opponents, including in her home state of Massachusetts, where she, a second-term senator, came in a distant third place.

It’s clear that the Democrats see the coronavirus outbreak as an opportunity rather than an epidemic. Having failed to bring down President Trump with ridiculous conspiracy theories involving Russia and Ukraine, they are desperately attempting to convince the public he is somehow exacerbating the COVID-19 crisis. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, for example, issued a joint press release Sunday that included the following fiction: “President Trump continues to manufacture needless chaos within his administration and it is hampering the government’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.” Predictably, Pelosi and Schumer fail to provide any objective facts to support this claim.

Now that the politics have settled, it’s the right time to return to impeachment, examine it, and learn why it failed. It was only the third such trial in our history. In one of its final reports, the New York Times, while calling the acquittal of Trump a “resounding victory” for the president, added, “both sides agreed that the final judgment on Mr. Trump will be rendered by voters when they cast ballots in just nine months.” Conventional wisdom holds that Senate Republicans were predetermined to acquit Trump of any charges. While there’s a hint of truth to this conventional wisdom, it’s not the entire story. Impeachments,  Staff note. *
