Jill Biden has a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Delaware, and she never lets the American people forget it. Mrs. Biden, wife of former Vice President Joe Biden, insists on being referred to as “Dr.” Biden. Her Twitter handle is @DrBiden. The press has largely acquiesced: Even though it has persistent trouble referring to actual pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson as “Dr.” Ben Carson, it is rare indeed to ever see a reference to Jill Biden without “Dr.” preceding her name.
There’s nothing wrong with being proud of one’s educational achievements, of course. But Mrs. Biden’s unrelenting insistence on being called “Dr.” sometimes leads to confusion.

Whoppi's ignorance was exposed along with her subjective, disingenuous pandering of Mrs. Biden as not only a MD but a great one who should be the nation's SG. Barffffff.

This is why celebrities should shut up about politics. They’re not that smart and they clap like seals at the dimwit woke mentality like there is no other perspective. Whoopi obviously knows nothing about Jill Biden except she’s a ‘great doctor’. Poster child for rankly ignorant koolaid drinkers.

Just like Diane, "Call Me Senator," Feinstein, the title is the only thing they have ever achieved in life so it becomes all important.

Whoopi exposed her ignorance to me about 30 years ago when she did an HBO special and started it by singing the National Anthem with MFer interspersed between every couple of words. She hasn’t improved over the years.

This is a great example of how stupid it is to take people who flap their jaws for a living seriously. Like any other air head she hadn't a clue about Jill Biden's qualifications yet there she was on the grand stage of television making crap up. She simply presumed Dr. meant medical Dr., an idiot move, but then heading off to the races making up that she's a great Dr.. And it's the fools like Woopsie who have our children believing that capitalism is incinerating the planet and that we can "tax the rich" (above the 37% the 1% already pay) without impacting the economy resulting in less money to hand over to people who didn't earn it.

#4 I believe that was Senator Barbara Boxer of California who made that classless statement.

I suspect she is a full in participant in the scam that the DNC is setting up right now using Biden. She wants to be FLOTUS in the worst possible way, and she will sacrifice her own husband's dignity and health to make it so. Being a 'Doctor' of education just means she is more liberal than Biden himself is. Probably more thuggish as well.

Having spent 14 years in a university setting, I laugh at the insistence of those holding the Doctor of Philosophy in Education being called Dr. So And So. Reminds me of the old joke where someone not familiar with an academic degree at a cocktail party being introduced to Dr. Whoever. then pointing to their shoulder complaining of a pain. The Ed.D then quipped, ''Disrobe now, and I'll take a look.''

Isaac Asimov the late science fiction author had a PhD in chemistry and used to teach biochemistry to medical students. He said one of them once asked him: "Dr Asimov, do you have a PhD or are you are REAL doctor"?

This is much like calling the inventor of Kentucky Fried Chicken, colonel but is Colonel Sanders a real colonel?

I always keep in mind, when I come up to one of these "PHD educators, two things: "If you can, do. If you can't, teach. If you can't teach, teach others to teach". The other thing I always keep in mind is what the letters P. H. D. stand for. That is, PILED HIGHER AND DEEPER.

Most doctors of education aren't PhD but rather EdD. My husband who is a PhD in physics but works as a defense contractor after retiring as a Col in USAF doesn't use either title when he introduces himself. He just uses his first name or first and last name. He finds people like Jill Biden pretentious.

College professors don’t normally use “doctor” other than when on campus or doing something work-related. Lawyers earn a J.D. degree from law school, “juris doctor,” or doctor of laws, yet in America no one ever calls them doctor. Police officers call lawyers “counselor,” yet almost no one else does.
It’s just another example of libs who believe they’re smarter than everyone else.

That's the trouble with today's influential liberals; whatever they say 'is the truth' to their legions of lemmings, and for the rest of us - it is not. So thankful for those who don't believe all they hear, and refuse to lap up all that c--p these Leftists are determined to shove down our throats.

The tradition is PhDs are called doctor in the university. And rarely anywhere else except for MDs who are called doctor every where.

One of the Athletic Directors at my alma mater had a Ph. D. in Physical Education. He was known as Dr. Push Up. Am not going to pick on Jill. Considering what she's married to she is suffering enough.

Back in the day when there were real journalistic standards (eons ago, when I was a journalism student), we were taught that the only doctor to be referred to in print as a doctor was the take-two-aspirin-and-call-me-in-the-morning type. All else was academic pretension, relegated to academia and not to be legitimized by self-respecting publications.

The stupidity of these high paid people in the media is breathtaking. They can't do simple math; they can't think and they can't even get right something as simple as what Mrs. Biden is a doctor of. Sheesh. If I was Miss Whoopie I would be so embarrassed I would have to take a month off from being in the public eye. She probably is one of those people who won't drink Corona beer for fear of getting the virus. And yet, there she is with her multi-million dollar salary telling we rubes what we should think, eat and believe. I am so disgusted and sick of these people. They really, really need to get their comeuppance.
