The difference between a liberal SC judge and a conservative SC judge is that the liberals believe they are there to find ways to subvert the meaning of the constitution and the conservatives are there to uphold it. The squishy in-betweens, like Roberts, are persuaded more by their own vanity and desire for acceptance. If Sotomayor was an honest judge who understood her purpose in being there her ethnicity and any perceived wisdom that came with it would be irrelevant.

When you pit liberals against the Constitution you will find that liberals want to either change or circumvent the law on the fly. Obama the constitutional scholar can be blamed personally for this practice. It's one more claim concerning his qualifications that falls flat.

Why didn't she simply ask why so many these types of cases were coming to the Supreme Court and have someone on her staff do some research and look into it? All she did was reveal her own political bias and ignorance.

I worked with Justice Sotomayor before she was appointed by Bush 41 to the federal bench. She is a bright and capable lawyer and lovely person. She graduated from Princeton undergrad and Yale Law School. By her own admission she is a terrible writer, not a good thing for a lawyer and unusual for one with her academic credentials. Clinton appointed her to the 2nd Circuit and that was a signal she was going to the Supreme Court at the Democrat's next opening. However, the Supreme Court is well out of her league and it is not surprising that Senator Cruz, Alan Dershowitz's "brightest student" at Harvard Law School could eviscerate her so easily. As with most Democrat appointments to the Supreme Court, her was clearly an affirmative action appointment.

Following Rahm Emanuel’s maxim that a crisis is a terrible thing to waste, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says the Trump reaction to the coronavirus is too little too late and quibbles over how much money is “enough” to fight a possible pandemic. Yet at the same time, such is cryin’ Chuck’s concern for human life that he and his Democrats sustained a filibuster blocking a bill that would protect the lives of newborn infants that survive a botched abortion. Senate Democrats today blocked a request by Republicans to vote on a bill that would stop infanticide and provide medical care and treatment for babies who are born alive after botched abortions.

Anti-Trump Fox News analyst Neil Cavuto, who often demonstrates the difference between being glib and being articulate, says he doesn’t work for Donald Trump. Cavuto took umbrage at Trump’s reaction to an A.B. Stoddard interview with Cavuto in which she falsely stated, in defending Michael Bloomberg’s Hindenburgesque Nevada debate performance, that Trump consistently lost his 2016 debates with “cringewortthy” and “disastrous” performances. None of what she said was accurate, Cavuto didn’t call her on it, later agreeing with her, and when Trump called both on it during his Colorado rally, Cavuto got righteously indignant in a statement what could have been an MSNBC audition tape...

It reflects his belief that every human life begins at conception and is a gift from God and reflects the fear, an unspoken motive for impeachment, that Trump will get to appoint more Supreme Court justices forming a majority to overturn the wrongly decided Roe V. This is clearly a highly influential publication. Only a couple of weeks after I pleaded in these pages for the repatriation to America of Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, it was accomplished. SUMTER, S.C. — In October, Pete Buttigieg said he would do better with South Carolina’s black voters once they got to know him better. When he came back in December, he was still working on introducing himself to the black electorate. And in late January he admitted he was scared that at his rallies in South Carolina, where 60 percent of the Democratic electorate is black, most attendees were white. Those fears were borne out on Saturday, when Mr. Buttigieg was trounced in South Carolina’s primary and earned just two percent of the vote from African-Americans, according to early exit polling.

How South Carolina's African Americans vote in the White House primaries is traditionally a key indicator of which contender
