It was an exciting time. In 2009, a grassroots movement of concerned Americans scheduled 800 Tea Party rallies nationwide on tax day, April 15th. Forty percent of tea partiers voted for Obama, naively believing it would end our nation's racial divide. They did not realize that Obama was a Trojan Horse with a progressive warrior hiding inside his black-skin exterior. Once Obama began implementing his undercover mission to transform America into a socialist/progressive country, Americans said, no. His sinister policies included persecuting Christians and opening borders to illegals. Obama betrayed Americans. In 2009, I was among only a few blacks in the Tea Party movement.

40% of Tea Party people voted for Obama? Good Lord, what the hell were they thinking. By 2010 I was gone. They were hijacked and lost their way.

A nice review about how the "Tea Party" supporters have been taken for a ride of deceit and taken for granted over the years.
The WORST of it is that those we trusted to elect to REVERSE the wave of socialism instituted by Nobama

The conservatives were taken for a ride by the GOP/RINOs who have tried to RUIN anyone else working to stop the corruption!
Thinking they were working to represent U.S. they USED us like a used Kleenex and threw us away-- Another Lucy and Charlie Brown with the football giving us lame excuses to "trust them" that THIS TIME they wouldn't screw us over AGAIN like they had in the past--
I question the notion that 40% number of Tea Party supporters were snookered into voting Nobama...

I am thankful that my instrincts were in line with those who saw obama as a silver-tongued snake oil salesman well before the election. He could whip those hopey-changey idiots into a frenzy but the hatred for real Americans and the lies were visible in every sentence on the teleprompter. I never once considered giving the kenyan fool a vote. Unfortunately, too many people went for the snake oil.

My father took my son to a Tea Party rally that April 15th. I took him to the Tea Party Rally in D.C. that September. It is among one of my favorite memories! What a Day! And yes, we were all family that day!
When I look back at what could have been accomplished in President Trump's first 2 years if Ryan and McConnell hadn't squandered it, I get sick. We never would have lost the House in 2018.
President Trump was smart enough to realize that the Tea Party was a genuine movement of patriotic Americans looking for a leader and I am very grateful he stepped up at great personal cost to him and his family and friends!
Prayers for Rush! We need him now more than ever.

I remember driving 60 miles to attend a rally. What fun, such good people. The IRS has
yet to pay a price for destroying the movement.

I was involved in the Tea Party movement. Nobody I met would have voted for Obama, I do not see how this is possible. I adore Lloyd Marcus, but I cannot fathom that this happened.

I also was involved in the Tea Party and don't believe the numbers of them voting for Obola. I don't know ONE who would have voted for him. DH and I had the bus ride from Hell from Englewood FL to DC on a weekend in September 2010 to attend a tea party rally at the Capitol. What a time!

#1 Fortunately, we didn't get to see that our vote for Romney was just as stupid as their vote for obama.
#3 My frustration with the GOP uniparty led me to change my affiliation to independent.
Like the others, I doubt that obama got that many voters, but I know Ron Paul got a lot of support.
Rush educated us, the tea party brought us together, but Trump has galvanized the movement.
I am so thankful to have a fighter up there voicing our frustration AND actually doing something about it!

All the media had to do was examine the facts as laid out on the Chicago Blog HillBuzz. He had it all laid out from Obama's membership in the gay bath house called Man Country, to all the scams and other activities. But the media didn't want to hear it and they still do not. I followed that blog at the time, so I was very aware of Obama and his true nature. Trojan Horse is a perfect descriptor for him. For that is what he was then. Now Mayor Ferret Face is trying the same thing to win the nomination. Hopefully the voters won't fall for it again.

One of my fondest memories is the day I met Lloyd Marcus at a Tea Party rally here in N . Michigan in 2009. One of those people that you liked immediately. I have to agree with another poster, though- I just don't recall meeting anyone at that rally/flag parade who had anything positive to say about Braaahck ! Obama. We were onto this lying conceited poseur WAY before he was elected.
