The White House is reportedly weighing options to dismiss Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman from the National Security Council (NSC) in an effort to shrink its foreign policy bureaucracy, a report said.Bloomberg reported that the White House plans to frame it as part of an NSC staff downsizing, not a retaliation. Vindman gave testimony last year during President Donald Trump's impeachment proceedings.Vindman was an important witness for the Democrats in July and raised concerns over Trump's phone call with Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky.

Before you crucify me for not condemning “the traitor,” please hear me out. My position has nothing to do with whether I agree with Romney’s “guilty” vote on the first article of impeachment. And it has nothing to do with whether I believe he is a true conservative. Or even a loyal Republican for that matter. It has to do with something far deeper. Are you willing to hear me out?
I’m quite aware of the litany of charges against Mitt Romney’s past political record and business dealings (see here and here and here and here).

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) blasted President Trump’s comments at the National Prayer Breakfast Thursday morning in which he took a swipe at the Speaker's previous comments that she prayed for the president. “I don’t know if the president understands about prayer or people who pray,” Pelosi said Thursday at her weekly press conference. “I pray for the United States of America, I pray for him, I pray for President Bush still, President Obama… because it’s a heavy responsibility …I pray hard for him because he’s so off the track

After weeks of speculation about which senators might vote against the party line, the U.S. Senate voted on the Democrats’ two articles of impeachment against President Trump on Wednesday, and only of the 100 senators defected on one of the articles —frequent Trump critic Sen. CHICAGO -- The brutal beating of a 68-year-old man by 11 teens on a passenger train here Monday was captured in a disturbing, graphic video obtained by Fox News.
The Chicago Police Department told Fox News the beating is under investigation, but no one is in custody because the victim “was unable to identify his attacker(s) due to his injuries.” A police source told Fox that the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office “wouldn’t touch” the case if the victim can’t identify those accused or is unable to cooperate. When reached about prosecuting the case, state’s attorney's office responded: "We are unable to comment."

Diogenes is said to have asked what is the difference between a man and a plucked chicken since both are featherless bipeds. Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) calls this into question again today.
Romney’s vote to convict President Trump of “abuse of power” for inquiring into the flow of money from Ukraine into the pockets of the Bidens after the appearance that Vice President Joe Biden had directly intervened in Ukrainian internal affairs either to repay the favor or shield the corruption from sunlight, is among the most degraded public acts of a generation.
Romney very clearly wants revenge. He lost the presidency in 2012, denounced Donald Trump’s candidacy in 2016

During her weekly press conference Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tried defending her decision to rip up her copy of the SOTU address by kvetching about the president’s guests, accusing the president of being on drugs and claiming everything he said during the address had been a lie …In the clip below, the speaker first defended her “dignified” premeditated tearing up of her copy of the SOTU address by complaining about the president’s guests. Hoping to fan racial flames in his direction before the South Carolina primary, Pete Buttigieg tweeted out his support for Trayvon Martin on the occasion of what would have been Martin’s 25th birthday, February 5.
“Trayvon Martin would have been 25 today,” Mayor Pete tweeted. “How many 25th birthdays have been stolen from us by white supremacy, gun violence, prejudice, and fear?” Buttigieg threw in a Black Lives Matter hashtag just to make sure black voters knew he was down for the struggle.
This tweet would have been unfortunate six months ago. Today, it is unforgivable. In December, attorney Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch,

President Trump tweeted out a political ad targeting Senator Mitt Romney (? – Utah) yesterday. The ad depicts Romney as a slippery Republican poser and Never-Trump infiltrator:
The ad comes one day after Romney voted to convict President Trump on the charge of “abuse of power” in the president’s impeachment trial in the Senate. Romney’s vote drew much criticism from conservatives and encomiums from celebrity liberal activists:

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who made waves as a witness during the Trump impeachment proceedings, was fired Friday by the National Security Council and escorted off of the White House grounds, Fox News has confirmed.
Vindman was on detail to the National Security Council from the Department of Defense, and it is expected he will return there. It comes just two days after President Trump was acquitted in the Senate on the impeachment charges brought by the House last year over his dealings with Ukraine. In a lengthy statement, Vindman’s attorney, David Pressman, confirmed that Vindman had been escorted out of the White House on Friday.

Lt. Col Alexander Vindman, a key witness in the House Democrats’ partisan impeachment inquiry, was fired from the National Security Council and escorted out of the White House on Friday, CNN first reported.
Vindman’s attorney, David Pressman, confirmed his client’s termination and subsequent removal from the White House.
“Today, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman was escorted out of the White House where he has dutifully served his country and his President. He does so having spoken publicly once, and only pursuant to a subpoena from the United States Congress,” Pressman said in a statement.
