How Not to Impeach a President

Original Article

Posted By: MissMolly, 2/1/2020 4:34:34 AM

With the 51 to 49 vote not to call witnesses, the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump is on track to an acquittal. And so the Trump impeachment saga is coming to an end not with a bang but a whine. “We wuz robbed!” shriek the foot-stomping Democrats as they repeat their poll-tested mantra that the trial was rigged because no witnesses were called to testify. Consequently, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has decreed that the president will remain impeached forever, and his presidency and all that flows from it will be deemed unclean and illegitimate. Obviously, this latest failed effort to depose Trump has left the Democrats frustrated, bitterly disappointed

#1, my husband and I had the same thought last night in a discussion. How much money has the democrats wasted on this witch hunt. You could also throw a few republicans in this mix. One of the reason they want Trump out is because he has upset the cart and many are being exposed by their third world practices....stealing from we the people (ordinary taxpayers). The democrats are professionals in money laundering.

Oh, the liberal tears on the Sunday shows! Will be thrilling to behold. Why they didn’t stay and acquit yesterday is so they can show up dressed in black and jeer the President at the SOTU. I hope the Republicans all wear red ties or dresses, except for Collins and Mittens, neither of whom should show up. I don’t expect the ‘pubbies to wear red, because they’re not still in middle school (well, most of ‘em) anymore. Great article!

Schiffhead should be put on suicide watch. I’m not sure if his psychosis can handle defeat. Way back in December while the bunker hearings were winding up, Rush said that, ultimately, the demonrats would fall back on calling the senate trial invalid and a scam and therefore meaningless. Because they knew they were going to fail and they needed to blame someone other than themselves. Just like their failed queen Illary. Schiffhead, Nadless and Nasty will probably spend the next 5 years coming up with excuse after excuse on how the Republicans stole their impeachment, just like PDT “stole” the 2016 election.

Perfect pull quote: “Even worse, having a certifiable mental case like Adam Schiff preside over the House proceedings and then serve as one of the House Managers at the Senate trial was a calamitous and entirely avoidable self-inflicted wound. Ever since Trump’s 2016 election, Schiff has exhibited a messianic detachment from reality and sociopathic compulsion to prevaricate. For years, he has publicly and repeatedly insisted that he has secret, conclusive proof that Trump colluded with the Russians. Even after the exhaustive investigations by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General exposed Russian collusion as a hoax, Schiff has neither retracted his claim nor disclosed his hidden evidence.“

Romney is preparing to run for President in '20 for the UNIPARTY. He must set himself apart from PDT and the "radical" Republicans to do that. The initial plan was to drive down PDT's approval numbers into the thirties and have Mitt challenge through the primaries. Bill Weld has Mitt's old team back together for that purpose. That strategy has apparently failed, although not with one last shot on the way out for the House Managers to sully PDT in final arguments. Romney is set to 1) be a full-time critic of PDT, his behavior and politics. 2) He is further positioned to make himself an "independent Republican" candidate as a third party in November to siphon off enough votes to defeat PDT and "save" the GOPe from the MAGA/KAG deplorables, and remove this meddlesome executive from the UNIPARTY's business. If not Romney it will be another "name" GOPe/UNIPARTY stooge, like Jeff Flake or John Kasich...name another, even Paul Ryan. The neocons and Bushites will have an alternative, and the margins in some states may be small enough to be thrown to the other party. It's not about Red and Blue here...it's all about the long green. Ask the Bidens how that all works.

"And then we come to what may be the dumbest move of all. By charging Trump for asking Ukraine’s help in investigating possible corruption involving Vice President Biden..." Ironically this dumbest move is what convinced Pelosi to approve of the Schiff show and initiated the interview with Joe McGuire. She had been the least insane of the get-Trump crew until that brilliant move. Given what we know now, I sincerely wish that we had impeached the Kenyan Doorknob instead of standing patiently by while he committed actual crimes that included the theft of billions of dollars, murders in Benghazi to cover up State Dept/CIA gun running, open support of terrorism and allowing ISIS to spread and murder thousands of innocents, tax evasion for his many extravagant vacations and the personal use of Air Force One and possibly being an illegal immigrant imposter.

Schiff knows that ar some point he'll be taking a cruise on the SS Prison Barge which has a planned very long stopover at Gitmo. He knows it's coming but he doesn't know when. He will do ANYTHING it takes to avoid and stall the timing of his fate; if looking stupid and idiotic is the price he has to pay then so be it. It is a small price to pay for being free from the consequences of his actions. But nothing will stop what will soon happen to him. Nothing!

From the very beginning, the Demo-rat notion of destroying Trump seemed like the half-baked idea of a broken-down drunk trying to rob a bank with a banana in his pocket or an addled brain drug addict thinking he could steal your car while you were looking out the window at him. It just seemed so senseless, obvious and stupid. Until you stop and realize their main mission was just to smear Trump and make him guilty in their own eyes and keep the sheep on the farm happy that their owner "finally did something". Sadly, yes, the impeachment slime will cling to Trump for his remaining lifetime and will always be front and center on his Wikipedia write-up and in all Leftist history books. What's important though is that Trump's strong accomplishments will greatly outweigh this disgusting action. And history ... 100 years from now ... will remember Trump the right way. Few but the most dedicated America history buffs know that Andrew Jackson was called a bigamist and may have actually been one because it seems he married his wife before she was properly divorced from hubby number one. A big deal back then that ended up giving his wife of 30 odd years, Rachel, a fatal heart attack. Instead, we correctly remember the brave general Jackson was and the great President he became and thus deserving of being on our $20 bill. Someday Trump will be well thought of by a strong majority of Americans.

The Democrats wanted to follow their own set of rules which they made up as they went along. This isn't governing. Nor is it honest. They wanted to ignore the constitution and the rules of the Senate. They acted like bullies. Bullies aren't leaders, they are tyrants. People stand up to bullies. They made up crimes that weren't crimes. They weren't prosecuting a crime. They were attempting to overturn an election, and influence an upcoming election. Intelligent honest people are repelled by all of this. In the end, it looks like only two Republicans defected. One has to wonder if the Republicans will be able to hold Susan Collin's seat after she retires. it goes a long way to explain her actions. She is a Republican in a blue state. Mitt Romney, on the other hand, is pure ego. The guy created a fake internet ID to go after the President. He alternates between kissing Trump's rear end, and stabbing him in the back. Doubt Utah ever signed up for this, and everybody else is sick of him. Its doubtful Mitt legitimately won his seat. Utah changed their primary rules when Romney lost to give him another chance. Romney probably shouldn't even be in the Senate representing the state of Utah.

Seven people, all from different households, not only gathered for Thanksgiving but distributed to the media pictorial evidence of them flouting mask mandates and social distancing edicts. No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.

Will Judge Emmett Sullivan accept President Trump’s pardon of General Michael Flynn? No one has suggested that possibility, other than The New York Sun. The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
