CPAC doesn’t want Sen. Mitt Romney’s shadow darkening the door at its annual conference. The Conservative Political Action Committee formally disinvited the Utah Republican from its high-profile conference next month, after he voted in favor of new witnesses in President Trump’s impeachment trial. “BREAKING: The ‘extreme conservative’ and Junior Senator from the great state of Utah, @SenatorRomney is formally NOT invited to #CPAC2020,” tweeted Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Conservative Union. Mr. Romney has attended CPAC in the past. In 2012, as he successfully campaigned for the GOP presidential nomination, he used the word “conservative” 25 times in his 26-minute speech at the conference.

That's right, Mr. Romney. You are not welcome. You are not invited. You can eat by yourself, or with the Democrats.

Romney is way to narcissistic to look around and see what is working for the other candidates that Trump bashed into submission during the last campaign. He could take a clue here.

I'm going to CPAC so this is welcome news. I guess John Bolton won't be there either. Good decision, Matt.

There was a report this evening that the Utah legislature is entertaining RECALL legislation.
At the same time there's no provision in the Constitution for the removal of a Senator except at the end of his or her term.
The Senator could step down of course. But otherwise there's no legal method.... but in an age when the Democrat party no longer believes in elections or votes.....
Mitt probably ought to get out of the Senate while he's still good to go.... because if the legislature is after a guy, it will happen.

To be honest, I’m not so sure the problem with Romney is that he isn’t conservative enough (however true that may be). More, I think the problem Is his inflated sense of importance and his his bruised ego. Trump sticks in his craw. Period

Senators are elected (since 17th Amendment) but I believe State Legislatures can recall a Senator at their pleasure. I reckon each state has its own process
The 17th amendment changed Senator appointment by the State Legislatures to selection by the electorate. I'll never understand the thought process of the State Legislatures ratifying away their influence in the Senate

Bravo. He should be shunned for the rest of his term and then voted out, unless he can be recalled first.

FTA: "But he has my respect for the thoughtfulness, integrity, and guts he has shown throughout this process. Utah and the Senate are lucky to have him." BINGO! How can anybody in their right mind continue to respect this LOW-LIFE who sided with the devil?! I urge everybody to continue to boycott this FRAUD and a RINO to preserve the will and the sanctity of the conservatives.

They claim Mittens is looking at running for the Republican nomination for President in 2024. Mittens can forget that, as Trump Supporters who make up the majority of Republican voters will never cast their ballots for Mittens.

Perhaps Romney could establish a "Severe Conservative Action Board" made up of himself, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins etc. That way Mitt and all the other SCABs could take turns denouncing President Trump and criticizing their own party.

Mittens is a man scorned because some Republicans voted for dark chicken instead of white chicken (Barry vs Romney) or stayed home and now it's payback time after Republicans had the nerve to vote for the Orange man. He'll never comprehend the fact that voters are fed up with politicians running for president who have no problem lying to your face instead of telling the truth.

Mittens and Susan will forever more be the black sheep in the flock that didn’t unite with their party or president. To give approval to the whole charge is a sign that they don’t respect the institution of the Senate or the Constitution or the office of the President or the country and viewers for that matter. I hope i can see the day they are voted out of office.

Romney is neither a liberal nor a conservative. He is however very jealous that Donald Trump won the Presidency and he didn't. He had his chance and acted like an elitist during the 2012 election cycle while choosing to bypass millions of dollars worth of free advertising by not going on Fox News or Rush Limbaugh - just like McCain while McCain forced Palin to go on left-wing shows to boost their ratings which he admitted.

Romney is also a phuqueing liar as he claimed he wanted to find out more by allowing witnesses. He no more cared about witnesses than the man in the moon. He DID however want to do everything he could think of in order to bother President Trump and thereby bother Americans. Romney is jealous and so jealous that his mind is clouded with jealousy to the degree that he doesn't give a rat's phart about America or Americans - only his demented hate-filled jealousies.
