The Biden family’s Ukraine

House Democrats impeached President Trump for putting his own political fortunes ahead of the national interest in dealing with Ukraine. But it’s Joe Biden who should be on the hot seat for that. Trump is criticized for a July 25 phone call, when he asked the president of Ukraine for help investigating what Biden did as vice president to get a prosecutor there fired. At the time, Biden’s son Hunter was on the payroll of a corrupt Ukrainian energy company, Burisma, which was targeted by authorities. Democrats claim it was wrong to ask for the investigation; Trump’s defense lawyers say there was every reason

Let's check on anyone who made over 100,000 in Ukraine over the last 10 years. It will be interesting to see how many reported that income on their taxes. My gut tells me they didn't get a 1099.

Several of the democrat presidential candidates sit on the Senate jury. They would like witnesses' called so that Hunter Biden can be used to eliminate Joe Biden from the field. That way, they don't have to deal with him, and there is one less candidate to get democrat votes. I hope Joe likes the greasy underside of the bus, because that's where the democrats are going to throw him! Democrats do, indeed, eat their own! No honor among democrats.

Biden, Pelosi, Schiff, and now strongly rumored, Romney's son too. There is so much Ukraine corruption going on in congress, that no wonder they all want to delay the inevitable, which would be their exposure to the public. Does Mitch have the spine to stand up for this country? Stay tuned...

Why do reporters (?) always reference the July 25th phone call with ," when President Trump asked the Ukrainian President to investigate Hunter Biden?" Bidens name never came up in the phone conversation, or did I read the wrong trans-script?

With Doorknob Hussein running the show and the FBI up to its neck in corruption, Biden had eight years to put his Ukraine scam in place, along with all of his other crooked family boondoggles. Who was going to investigate him? Hussein and Hillary had their own little moneymaking schemes going and since they are all democrats they would cover for each other. It seems that the government is reluctant to look at any dem who is running for office and they are always running for office, it's a career.

Democrats are never prosecuted. The FBI's antics with FISA and not one will be prosecuted. Hillary Clinton's violation in handling classified material will never be prosecuted. (Meanwhile, a sailor takes a selfie on a submarine and does a year for revealing classified information) Joe Biden, Pelosi's nephew, and Whitey Bolgers nephew will never be prosecuted for Ukraine's corruption.

Washington- Regarding the failed impeachment of our president, I have a few observations. The Democrats, led by the Hon. Adam B. Schiff, charged President Donald Trump with “abuse of power” and the risible charge of “obstruction of Congress.” The historically minded reader will remember these charges as being what Republicans in the 1930s and in the 1960s quite properly called the New Deal and the Great Society, respectively. They disapproved of what Franklin Roosevelt and old Beagle Ears were trying to do, but it is a fact that no one — not even Barry Goldwater — tried to impeach either president. There are numerous members of the House of Representatives and the Senate

President Trump is absolutely sitting on top of the world. This is the highest point of his presidency so far. Consider what has happened in the last four days, and the reasons become clear. On Saturday, Republican senators stuck together. In voting not to prolong a farcical Senate trial with a predetermined outcome, they refused to honor the politically motivated impeachment that House Democrats brought on a flimsy pretext. On Sunday, the Trump campaign aired ads during the Super Bowl. He advertised to a politically mixed sports crowd, but the point of the ads was not to rile up his base the way most candidates do during primary season.

Donald Trump served various television news personalities a lunch described by one White House guest as soup and filet of sole Tuesday—but soon the assembled anchorpeople were eating out of his hand. Much to the disappointment of folks at CNN, nobody at the long table—who included NBC’s Lester Holt and Chuck Todd, ABC’s David Muir and George Stephanopoulos, and CBS’s Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan—bothered to ask why the president had gone out of his way to exclude the cable network run by Trump’s former friend Jeff Zucker. “MSDNC isn’t here as well,” Trump quipped—to polite chuckles but zero protests

As of this writing (early afternoon on Tuesday) the results of the Iowa caucuses — the Hawkeye cauci, as Rush Limbaugh calls them — remain unknown. How in hell is that possible? Because the intellectual titans who insist that they can (if only we give them sufficiently uncontested powers of official coercion) impose expert rational “scientific” management on everything from health care to global energy markets in reality cannot organize a two-car parade in Toeterville. Our would-be managers and planners are, in fact, useless as teats on a boar hog. How incompetent are the 2020 Democrats? Incompetent enough to make the 2020 Republicans look . . .

Will Rogers famously quipped, “I’m not a member of any organized political party. I’m a Democrat.” Monday’s Iowa caucuses certainly confirmed the Democratic penchant for chaos. They also highlighted the party’s suicidal tendencies. Any doubt on this score should be cleared up by Bernie Sanders’ Iowa showing, the ulcers it is causing at the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and the glee it inspires among Republicans. For the GOP, his campaign has no downside. If Sanders is again denied the Democratic nomination due to DNC skulduggery, his supporters will stay home in November. If he captures the nomination, Trump will crush him. This view is not restricted to the GOP.

Caucuses are a terrible way to pick a nominee. There is no secret ballot, so every nosy neighbor and busybody who prefers another candidate knows who you’re supporting. There is no access for those who work nights or need babysitters. And this year, Democrats have a fairly arbitrary 15 percent threshold — no delegates for anyone who falls below that line. The live television coverage does not generate a warm and fuzzy feeling from Iowans gathering in church basements and high school gymnasiums. The two rounds of reallocation meant that supporters of those below the viability line started trying to form alliances out of Survivor,

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi apparently made tiny tears into her copy of President Trump’s State of the Union address— so that her speech-ripping moment could go off without a hitch. As Trump introduced cancer-stricken radio host Rush Limbaugh—who received the Medal of Freedom during the speech—Pelosi could be seen grabbing the pages off the table. Video shows her making what seemed to be a tearing motion and then placing the pages back on the table. Photos of the sheets of paper show them face down on the table with small slits on the side, near where Pelosi would eventually rip them into pieces.

Wow, that was one hell of a State of the Union Address. President Trump seized the center with a powerful, patriotic and utterly centrist speech. And then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reinforced his message with her oh-so-symbolic ripping up of the text. What, other than channeling the alienation of the Democratic base from the great American center, was she thinking? This was the very best of Trump — generous, bipartisan (with a few barbs) and good-spirited. He not only got congressional Democrats to stand and cheer, but he also credited the legislators in the room for working together across party lines to do right by America.
