Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says the United States was “formed” by immigrants and thus Americans must not think of the immigration issue “narrowly.” During an interview with Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait, Nadella described the U.S. as “a country of immigrants” and said his corporation supports “enlightened immigration policy.”(Snip) That “enlightened immigration policy” has translated to Microsoft lobbying heavily for legislation that will flood the U.S. labor market with more foreign workers to provide Silicon Valley’s tech conglomerates with cheaper labor costs and more profits for executives. In the corporation’s most recent lobbying, Microsoft hired lobbyists to push Republicans and Democrats

Who can forget the touching story of John Adams arriving penniless in Boston or George Washington struggling to find work as an immigrant in Virginia.

Australia is a country of convicts, formed by convicts? No?
India is a country of oppressive bloodthirsty warlords, formed by bloodthirsty warlords? No? Guess he thinks that logic only applies to US. (PS, I’m of both Mayflower and Iroquois decent, idiot)

It's not just immigration, but why shouldn't it be LEGAL immigration.
Why are Democrats always looking at all the loopholes, and the need for using asylum laws to cut-in-line?
(they want the recipients to feel obligated to whoever grants them that status, and thus, vote for that party)

Yes. But the vast majority of us came here legally. And proudly so. Stop purposely dropping that all-important qualifier that differentiates the kind of immigrants that are and should be valued by America.

Legal immigrants are NOT illegal alien criminals. Microsofts CEO ought to make the differentiation if he actually knows it.

Nothing like being told what your REAL history is by an interloper who can't pronounce c, d, e, t, b correctly. You would think these super wealthy elitists would be thankful, enjoy their millions, and then try and better the country and culture that made them rich. Like Andrew Carnegie. Instead of building libraries across the country Satya is looking to enrich fellow Indians and make even more money for Microsoft. Nothing wrong with that, real Americans respect an honest man. We do resent weasels who say one thing and mean another.
I miss the old melting pot. I grew up with a Swiss/German/English/Scot background and went to school with children of Italians, Poles, German, Russian, French, etc. All proud to be American first. Our families enjoyed their heritage, but no one thought of returning to the ancestral homeland. Satya would go to any country and do what he is doing. Like so many 'immigrants' today, legal and illegal, the USA is purely a business opportunity and as far as culture or heritage, many of them have contempt for what they think they know about us.

#6, and the other ironic thing about clowns such as satya is if his culture and country are so great, why is he here? Because deep inside he knows his country and culture aren't that great compared to the US, warts and all. And such clowns can't stand the internal dissonance, and blow to their hubris. What a maroon. Not to mention a preening popinjay.

I remember growing up when an "Indian" was a native American... today however, saying that word connotes a person who works in I.T. or the medical field. Over the last 20 years illegal and unchecked immigration has destroyed the American culture.

It would be nice if he just said the truth: I support immigrants who we can hire more cheaply than Americans. That I would disagree with but at least respect, but no he has to be a lying weaselly ungrateful hypocrite. Remind me to use Microsoft products and services as little as possible.

Wrong: This is a country founded by colonists. People who put everything on the line - if they failed they died.
We became a country of immigrants. Legal immigrants who filtered thru an island and if they were unable to support themselves were sent back home. The steamship lines were liable for their trip home, so they made sure they were eligible to be admitted to the USA. No public charges.
Comparing illegals to legal immigrants is similar to the difference between a house guest or a burglar.

That's legal immigrants, sir.
I think that many of the Masters of the Universe who promote illegal immigration do so because they like the whole power thing of others submitting to them. While those who follow our Constitution and abide by our laws are not comfortable submitting to others. We love our country and our Constitution, but we know that our freedoms come with responsibilities; LIKE OBEYING THE LAWS OF THE LAND BEGINNING WITH BECOMING CITIZENS LEGALLY. These people are such phonies. They like to have something to hold over someone, like having the ability to throw them out their company if they do not behave as they are told. Look at the censorship that is prevalent in all these giant tech companies, i.e., "You stay within the lines, or you are fired." They do not believe in freedom of expression - party line or you're out.

John, you have that right.
The New World Order of Global Marxist Communist control over the entire world's people. Does the statement by Sen. McCain now mean anything to everyone, 'We have been working for a New World Order (Code for Marxist Communist control) of the One World Government'.
Marxist Communist One World Global Government of the Marxist Communist democrats and Rino's would secure monopoly of all markets worldwide. An exclusive privilege to carry on a business, traffic, or service, granted by a government, which is a dictatorship with the exclusive possession and control of their government product only.

Immigrants -- yes!!!
Illegal alien invaders -- no!!!!
And if Ms. Nadella is too stupid to comprehend the difference, then her opinion really doesn't mean much in the grand scale of the universe!!!!!

FTA: "America is a Country of Immigrant, Formed by Immigrants". Actually, it's Legal Immigrants who didn't demand government Entitlements and instead, busted their tails off to create their own wealth!

I was born in the United States of America to parents who were born in the United States of America. Their parents and grandparents and great-grandparents and on and on, going back nearly four-hundred years were born here, as well.
I am NOT an immigrant! The United States of America is my native land. I know no other. If you disagree, for any reason, you may go to hell.

That doesn't mean we can't have "legal" immigration, rather than lawlessness, Mr. Nadella. You are brushing by the point, and avoiding recognizing the cost burden on everybody else, all the middle class, those who don't live in secluded areas like you, Mr. Nadella.

My ancestors came to the New World in the 1600s as colonists. They moved from England to Massachusetts and North Carolina, both of which were English possessions. Kind of like moving from London to Liverpool. Thus they shouldn't be called "immigrants" any more than someone moving to Nebraska from Ohio would be an "immigrant".

No, we were colonist in the early 1600's and didn't come thru Ellis Island.
What Satya really wants is American jobs and chain migration. He is also saying, just like Latinos, that he wants his own people working for him.
I beg anyone who loves the old country to please return. I want you to be happy. Take your relatives with you. Everywhere you go, there you are.

Nuts! My people immigrated from Britain in 1640. I was born here in the USA, so were my parents, GPs, GGPs, etc. . .We are natives. And I praise the L-rd G-d Almighty that my ancestors left and came to America.
Considering the country/ies from which they came, I should think that immigrants would be, as immigrants were in the past, thankful for the opportunities afforded them in the USA and grateful their ancestors left the failing countries behind.

The United States is not a sovereign nation, but rather a borderless market rich for exploitation by people like Indian national Satya Nadella, who wants to replace US workers with Indians who work cheap.
