Sekulow Nails It: ‘Why Are We Here?’

The Trump impeachment proceeding, which got rolling Tuesday, failed to come alive until about two hours into the proceedings, when suddenly, one of the President’s attorneys, Jay Sekulow, wheeled on the culprit who’s really on trial — the Democrats. Speaker Pelosi, Congressman Schiff, and their whole camarilla, they launched this proceeding and levied the charges and they are the only ones who are required to prove anything.
This is something to bear in mind as this drama unfolds. No one in America ever has to prove his or her innocence, not even the President (he may not lurk above the law, but neither is he pilloried below it).

This sham-peachment is just a continuation of the Democrat's tantrum over Donald Trump winning the 2016 presidential election. They can not accept the fact that they lost and prove that they are poor losers even as the Country won.

This impeachment trial is pre-empting the low info's TV programming. I am amazed at how many low infos complain when their TV show is interrupted for a few minutes by a weather or Amber alert. This could go on for weeks. Tacitly blaming the dims for the disruption may be a good campaign tactic for the GOP.
Except, I doubt most lo infos vote.

This is not about a phone call. This is about Hillary not going to Wisconsin. Well said!

The call for impeachment preceded the famous phone call. Some comments were made before the election, but the first time we heard it from a member of congress was May 2017 from Al Green. The phone call to Zelensky was 21 April 2019. Of course we had collusion which fizzled but the call for impeachment lived on. We were on to the "whistleblower" who turned as it turned out, required rule changes and a change in the meaning of the word to define as a whistleblower. We came to learn that nobody who was a witness to the call raised a question about a quid quo pro and in fact Zelensky himself felt no pressure. Then we were on to obstruction of justice. After that fizzled once again another invention, obstruction of congress had to carry the day. Then we moved on to Lev Parnas oh yea that's the ticket. Turns out that the aid was released before the deadline to comply with congress so we need not even use the constitution to show the POTUS has the authority to hold back aid regardless of congress.
It couldn't be more clear that Trump has been the victim of a relentless campaign to find a crime to match up with the preordained punishment of removal from office. They may settle for less, perhaps special limits on the power to appoint justices, a crippling of his administration.
It's like Bullwinkle Moose telling Rocket J Squirrel; "watch me pull a rabbit out the hat" squirrel: "ah but that trick never works" , moose: "This time for sure"

We are here because Orange Man Bad.
He hates the Deep State. So the Deep State is out to get him.
The Deep State has no role in our Constitutional government. But they have taken over anyway.
All we heard on Tuesday was remarks from Deep State members about how they, not the President, establish and maintain our foreign policy. Send them all packing!

In just nine months the American voters will have the opportunity to chastise the Democrats for putting the country through this painful impeachment charade.
In America, it is the voters who have the power, through elections, to have a government of the people, by the people and for the people. They must exercise that power by throwing Democrat elitists from office and reestablishing separation of powers as required by the Constitution.

Why are we here indeed. If we had honest responsible government, both parties would have acknowledged this for the scam it is regardless of differences, and squashed it. It speaks volumes regarding how corrupt, dishonest, and dysfunctional our government has become. This problem has been there for a long time. Don't blame any of this on Trump. He's the messenger exposing it.

Unless Trump delivers some kind of death blow to this monstrous creature the democrats have spawned, they will never ever stop with the kabuki and the lies. Mad Maxi said so last week. This has been in place since Inauguration day, and they will never let it drop. Trump needs to stop this. He can, and I hope he does. The longer he waits, the more irritating this gets as a citizen. I feel like democrats stole a whole term from Trump, and us with their fakery and tantrums. Where do we go to get it all back?

I liked Pelosis line about not being at the mercy of the courts. She didn't finish her sentence. She needed to add, unless they rule in our favor.

There are several reasons this is taking place, and it is a sham operation from the beginning.
The biggest reason is to stymie the Senate from approving more judgeships with persons who will FOLLOW THE RULE OF LAW.
If they can remove Mr. Trump, he will not nominate Constitutionalists for the Supreme Court.
If they can be successful, they can then attempt to make the Constitutional protections of INNOCENT until proven guilty.
The Constitution is very clear that impeachable offensive have to do with bribery or treason--these are disagreements with policy, and the President's authority to conduct Executive business with the check and balance upon the Legislative branch of government.
They have attempted to CHANGE THE RULES as set to make it like a civil trial, when the demonrats can call witnesses when their case has already been made through TWO different committees that did not allow for a "fair" contribution by the Republicans.
Worst of all, they and their friends in the media are trying to prey upon the ignorant in the populace who doesn't know the difference between a regular trial and an the express rules of an impeachment trial. They are putting pressure on WEAK RINO Senators to vote with them, but THEY KNOW they will never get the 67 required to win the day.
They cannot win under the rules, so they are trying to make their own rules, despite THE LAW
