Sympathy for Sanders? I have none.

Peter Shumlin, the former governor of Vermont and a Democrat, had this to say about Bernie Sanders, his fellow Vermonter: What I’ve seen in Bernie’s politics is he and his team feel they’re holier than the rest. In the end, they will play dirty because they think that they pass a purity test that Republicans and most Democrats don’t pass. What you’re seeing now is, in the end, even if he considers you a friend, like Elizabeth Warren, Bernie will come first. That’s the pattern we’ve seen over the years in Vermont, and that’s what we are seeing now nationally.

To a true believing communist like Bernie, friends are just useful idiots to be discarded when their usefulness to the cause is over.

I don’t care about what Sanders may have said to Lying Lizzie. Has Sanders made any comment at all on the campaign worker who was filmed by Project Veritas? Has the guy been fired? Seems like if he had we would know. So apparently Sanders has no problem with what that lunatic said - yes, he’s still in love with the old USSR and plans to use it as a guide to conducting his campaign and presidency.

Just that snippet above is a total tear down of Bernie. He must have been a truly awful governor to that state if that is how they feel about him in his own state party. Devastating take down, and very accurate. It is all about Bernie the commie parasite. I knew he was trouble in 2008 when he started making noise about consumers having too many choices in the marketplace, and that nobody needed that many choices. If the party really wanted to get rid of the carpie, they would expose the dirty dealings of him and his wife when they bankrupted that school. From what I could tell, Bernie committed bank fraud to help his wife obtain those loans, and that is more actual crime than Trump has ever come within a country mile of committing. One thing though, if they somehow did nominate him to be the Judas Goat sacrifice this November, look closely at the VP choice, for that is the real presidential candidate. Not Bernie.

I actually met one of Bernie's Mafia in a Pennsylvania store and he was so obviously crazy that I don't know how he continues to walk around free. After trying to convince me to join the movement he told me about an army of whackos in the Northeast ready to make the election as violent as possible. They are exactly like Obama's thug Panther recruits only they are white. Bernie is bad news now but as POTUS he would be another Stalin.

Considering Bernie's huge ego and lust for power, I can only guess at the true amount of the fortune that Hillary must have paid him in 2016 to leave the race. No wonder he has three homes.

NEWTON, Iowa — Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren said she was the only White House hopeful who has spent any time in the executive branch on government at an Iowa rally, seemingly forgetting about a number of her rivals. The remarks came after an audience member asked her when she plans on using presidential authority for some of her policy agenda instead of relying on Congress. "That's a really good question. Let me remind you, I think, I'm the only one running for president whose actually been on the executive side," Warren said Friday evening. Don’t expect the national media to report this, but Representative Ilhan Omar is attracting more credible opponents than any sitting member of Congress. Like angry hornets, a swarm is gathering and buzzing around her. Her days as a Congresswoman may be numbered. It could be a finite number. She faces at least three opponents on the Democratic side. Splitting the opposition may actually help her survive the primary. The Squad, the fawning media and the Hollywood Left will rally around her. But, the primary fight will likely leave its mark going into the November general election.

Hillary Clinton opened up about her marital struggles with Bill Clinton in an upcoming documentary about the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee. “I didn’t want anything to do with him,” Clinton said, appearing to tear up, in a trailer of the four-part series which premieres in March on Hulu. The Clintons’ marriage faced a difficult period when Bill had an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky during his presidency. He initially denied the affair under oath, which led to his impeachment in December 1998. Months earlier, Chelsea Clinton, who was 18 years old around the time the Lewinsky scandal played out, put herself between her parents

It’s the biggest abdication since King Edward VIII — and once again, it’s all for the love of an American divorcee. Prince Harry and his Los Angeles-born actress wife, Meghan Markle, on Saturday night were granted their wish to “step back” from royal duties. They’ll be stepping back alright — way back, and with a deft shove from Her Majesty. In a cordially worded heave-ho, the Queen announced that while Harry and Meghan “will always be much loved members of my family,” this will not be the gentle, gradual disentangling from Buckingham Palace that the pair hoped for when they dropped their bombshell on Instagram earlier this month. No, this is a hard Megxit.

The third presidential impeachment in US history has now reached the Senate. Like the first two, this one is almost certainly going to lead to presidential acquittal. An old saying given definitive expression by Ralph Waldo Emerson (and recently adapted by The Wire) warns that you should ‘never strike a king unless you are sure that you shall kill him’. Congress may not be risking royal reprisal here, but it is teaching all Americans — including all future presidents — a fateful lesson in institutional impotence. After this, who is ever again going to take the threat of impeachment seriously? Congress has called its own bluff.
Scientists seek rare species

Australia’s unprecedented wildfires season has so far charred 40,000 square miles (104,000 square kilometers) of brushland, rainforests, and national parks — killing by one estimate more than a billion wild animals. Scientists fear some of the island continent’s unique and colorful species may not recover. For others, they are trying to throw lifelines. Where flames have subsided, biologists are starting to look for survivors, hoping they may find enough left of some rare and endangered species to rebuild populations. It’s a grim task for a nation that prides itself on its diverse wildlife, including creatures found nowhere else on the planet such as koalas, kangaroos and wallabies.

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said it was his call to release hundreds of politically charged text messages between former FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page to the media, according to a Friday court filing by the Department of Justice (DOJ). In his declaration, Rosenstein explained he did not see any legitimate reason to withhold the text messages because they were sent on government phones and subject to FBI review. He also said they were being sought by the House Judiciary Committee and the Senate, for oversight reasons. "I learned that the text messages were ready for release to the Senate and House committees

President Trump's legal team on Saturday issued a full-throttle defense to the articles of impeachment, refuting the substance and process of the charges while accusing House Democrats of engaging in a "dangerous attack" on the right of the American people to freely choose their president. "This is a brazen and unlawful attempt to overturn the results of the 2016 election and interfere with the 2020 election -- now just months away," the legal filing said. "The highly partisan and reckless obsession with impeaching the president began the day he was inaugurated and continues to this day." "The articles of impeachment are constitutionally invalid on their face," the seven-page filing continued.

Can a woman get elected president? Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren’s possible disagreement was a cause célèbre at the most recent (and boring) debate among six Democrats vying for their party’s nomination. Is their question the same as “Can a woman be president?” The question presumably asks if a woman can be a successful president. The two questions are related: if enough people think a woman cannot be a successful president, then that woman won’t be elected president. What qualities are necessary to be a good president? People will disagree, but there is no doubt that women have been outstanding heads of state:

If the Trump era has taught us anything, it's that large numbers of white people in the United States are motivated at least in part by racism in the voting booth. Donald Trump ran an openly racist campaign for president, calling Mexicans rapists and criminals, regularly retweeting white supremacists and at least initially balking at repudiating former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. Trump made it clear in his campaign that "Make America Great Again" meant that America was greater when white people's power was more sweeping and more secure. White voters approved of that message by a whopping 58 percent to 37 percent.

This year, a week-long program "that includes a story slam, brunch with drag queens and civil disobedience training for activists" was held in the run up to Saturday's event,

President Donald Trump made a stark appeal to black Americans during the 2016 election when he asked, “What have you got to lose?” Three years later, black Americans have rendered their verdict on his presidency with a deeply pessimistic assessment of their place in the United States under a leader seen by an overwhelming majority as racist. The findings come from a Washington Post-Ipsos poll of African Americans nationwide, which reveals fears about whether their children will have a fair shot to succeed and a belief that white Americans don’t fully appreciate the discrimination that black people experience.
