New York sanctuary policy forced
release of suspect in shocking murder

New York City defied a deportation request from ICE last year and released an illegal immigrant into the community — and now he stands accused of killing a 92-year-old woman beloved by her community. Reeaz Khan, 21, has been charged with murder and sexual abuse against someone incapable of consent. Police say they caught him initiating the attack on surveillance video. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says he never should have been out on the streets anyway, after he was arrested on weapons and assault charged last year, and ICE asked New York to turn him over.

Comments:

The NY newspapers refused to identify the killer as being an Undocumented-American, let alone his entire family, which also is “here” from Guyana. Why do we let the entire Third World into the USA when we have problems of our own to fix (the homeless being a big one)?

It's past time to arrest the local politicians that allow this to happen. Why are they not arrested for not following federal laws?

I don't understand how, on the one hand, the Left wants to write "tougher" gun laws and even actually ban guns. Yet, on the other hand, the Left releases into the public a person who was arrested for weapons and assault charges. The Left says it wants to make the public safer by restricting gun ownership, but is perfectly fine releasing a man who used weapons in an assault. A bad case of cognitive dissonance? Or is there something more sinister going on?

The politicians who enabled this need to be arrested as accomplices - as do the police officers who knowingly release these criminals. A police officer is still a citizen and has a moral duty as a citizen of the community to report heinous wanted criminals when they know their whereabouts.

Ask any rat voter in this state how they justify this and they will have no answer, but they will never vote anything by straight D every election. Then they whine about Trump and rave on about how all problems are because of some right wing statement they read about on communist media.

A Michigan senator is accused of humiliating a female journalist in the state’s chambers by telling her a group of high school boys “could have a lot of fun” with her, according to the reporter. Michigan Advance reporter Allison Donahue claimed the comments by Sen. Peter Lucido, the state’s senate majority whip, left her “objectified and humiliated” as she tried to interview him. Instead of answering the 22-year-old’s questions, the politician pointed to a group of about 30 boys visiting from his all-boys alma mater, De La Salle Collegiate, Donahue wrote in a first-person exposé. “You should hang around!

Travelers on the Mexico City subway system often blame authorities for broken-down escalators at subway stops, but Metro officials have another explanation: vast amounts of pee. Somehow, urine is penetrating and corroding the drive wheels and mechanisms of the escalators that carry riders up from underground stations. In a list published on Tuesday, the Metro system listed “corrosion due to urine” as one of the top five causes of escalator breakdowns. Fermín Ramírez, the system’s assistant manager for rails and facilities, said riders appear to be urinating on escalators at off-peak hours and lightly used stations, “even though it seems hard to believe”.

A federal judge ordered a halt Wednesday to the Trump administration’s plan to give states and localities a veto over refugees being sent into their territory, saying the law doesn’t allow them a say. The ruling is a major victory for immigrant rights groups, who had feared some communities would shut their doors thanks to President Trump’s executive order last year establishing the veto policy. Judge Peter J. Messitte, an appointee of President Clinton to the U.S. District Court in Maryland, issued an injunction stopping the policy just days before it was to kick in. He said decades of refugee law have

Indonesia’s Lion Air considered putting its pilots through simulator training before flying the Boeing Co. 737 Max but abandoned the idea after the planemaker convinced them in 2017 it was unnecessary, according to people familiar with the matter and internal company communications. The next year, 189 people died when a Lion Air 737 Max plunged into the Java Sea, a disaster blamed in part on inadequate training and the crew’s unfamiliarity with a new flight-control feature on the Max that malfunctioned. Boeing employees had expressed alarm among themselves over the possibility that one of the company’s largest customers might require its pilots

The state Senate and Assembly on Monday each passed a bill requiring the state to spend $4.5 million to pick up the tab for about 518,000 students eligible for reduced price school breakfast and lunch. If signed by Gov. Phil Murphy, the legislation would erase the 30 cents those students currently pay for reduced price school breakfast and the 40 cents for reduced price lunch. It is a tradition that continues: almost all the broadcast news coverage about President Trump has been negative in recent months.
