Former Vice President Joseph R. Biden on Monday said that he would consider choosing a Republican for a running mate if he’s the 2020 Democratic presidential nominee, though he said someone who would fit the proper bill didn’t immediately come to mind. “The answer is I would, but I can’t think of one now,” Mr. Biden said in response to a questioner at a campaign stop in New Hampshire. “No, I’m serious. … There’s some really decent Republicans that are out there still, but here’s the problem right now with the well-known ones: they’ve got to step up. You know what I mean?”

Oh Joe, just stop it. You know you're never getting close to the White House unless invited. And don't expect that to happen either.

Yeah we do, Joe. You want to see some Republicans turn on their president and party leader. Then perhaps you'll deign to think about maybe considering the possibility of choosing one of them to be your doormat as president. Joe, I would laugh, but you're just not that funny.

The FBI already tried that in 2016. The statement would be more accurate if you delete "for a" from the headline. Joe would consider nominating Obama for the SCOTUS even though Obama directed Brennan to create the hoax Intelligence Committee Analysis report that concluded with high confidence that Trump was elected by Putin. He'd consider testifying in the impeachment trial but won't have to because his bribing of the Ukrainian President to fire the prosecutor that was investigating his son for money laundering is not relevant to President Trump's phone call to Zelensky. Also, he's protected by the 5th Amendment.

Joe is lying again; McCain is dead, and while Mitt Romney would be a good match for him when it comes to their actual political goals, Romney would never consider being 'second banana' to someone like Joe.
No, In the unlikely event that Joe gets the nomination, he wants Stacey Abrams, or Kamala, or Lizzy, or even someone like Alyssa Milano to be his VP. Maybe AOC if they decide to ignore the Constitution on age, like they have on being a "Natural Born Citizen". He dare not pick anyone smarter or much more ruthless to stand behind him.

But I thought he was going to pander to the AA vote by picking Stacey whatshername from Georgia? You know, the true governor since she never conceded.

First he panders to Obama with a Supreme Court position. Now Befuddled Biden panders to Republicans (NeverTrumpers?). The guy reeks of weakness and desperation. None of this will get Biden any additional support.

I believe I read that you can’t constitutionally have a split ticket. Both must be of the same party.

# 11 has the answer, it's desperation.
Saying he would put Obama on the Supreme Court even after Obama dumped on him wasn't bad enough, now he would put a Republican on his ticket.
The next thing he will do is be a witness against his son in his IRS case.

Biden with a RINO as VP? No decent Repub would vote for that ticket and some Dems wouldn't either.

The liberal/far left of the dims party will not work, donate to, or vote for a repub on the ticket. They don’t like joe to begin with. His primary opponents should be able to take him out with this gaffe.

That will take the burden of coming up with a concession speech off of Joe’s shoulders. Of course, it won’t be as gracious as one they’d write to concede to a Democrat.

At this point, the DNC must be praying to hold the Convention, so that they can reveal their Real hand-picked candidate for President.

Biden will have to select the politician who Obama and the rest of the Democrat movers and shakers tell him who they want him to select. Biden would have to do that to get their support.

Why not Jeff Sessions, the Republican who allowed Biden, Comey, Hillary, Brennan and alll the other officials of the Obama regime, including Obama, to escape justice for 3 years? And if AG Barr doesn’t indict Biden for his corrupt action on Ukraine on behalf of Hunter, then include Barr to reward him for preventing equal justice under the law In order to protect Biden,
Sad to note that the current DoJ and FBI have done as much to protect former Obama regime officials as these officials did to interfere with the 2016 election and Trump’s presidency.

Barring unforeseen events in 2020, brain-damaged Biden will be the nominee. Count on it. senior DNC officials, unlike their deranged leftist voting base, are not stupid. They know that this election is probably a throwaway, considering the far left freak show that they have to contend with. Let him run and lose big. Get rid of him, and prepare for 2024.
Think Bob Dole in 1996. Same deal.

Fresh zingers from the Clown Prince of Comedy. The roster, sadly, is a long one. Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, pretty much the entire staff of the National Review, just about anyone on the Chamber of Commerce, Jeff Flake, any of the 15 Republican state governors who are eager to welcome Refugee-Americans to their states, probably Lindsey Graham (depending on who's pulling his blackmail strings on any given day)...
