Ghislaine Maxwell — the British socialite who’s long been accused of serving as Jeffrey Epstein’s madam — is under investigation by the FBI, sources confirmed to The Post on Friday. Maxwell, who has largely kept out of the public eye since 2016, allegedly procured young women and groomed them to have sex with Epstein and his wealthy pals. Several other “people who facilitated” the dead pedophile’s alleged sexual abuse are also being probed but Maxwell is the main focus, two sources familiar with the investigation told Reuters.

The FBI could send a couple agents out to question her, then frame her for lying to the FBI, like usual.

I wouldn't trust the FBI to investigate anything. They're pretty good at coverups and hiding exculpatory information. Besides, agents running the place were probably "clients" on Comey's FBI plane.

It has been said that Maxwell still has access to, or control over, the video recordings. She should make sure they're duplicated and a trusted associate has instructions to release them the moment her "suicide" or "fatal accident" is announced.

They have talked about this for months and she has been spotted in CA. She could cross the border and be gone with such advance notice.

The FBI apparently did not indicate which Federal Crime(s) Maxwell is being investigated for. The FBI is always capable of conjuring up a process crime like they did with General Flynn and George Papadopulos, but they apparently are trying to placate the media with (illegal and unethical) leaks.

I don't trust the FBI anymore. Why did it take them this long to pursue her?! If the FBI is the agency holding those tapes and pictures from Epstein's homes, they are probably being lost as we speak. I would feel better if John Durham was the one pursuing her case. If the FBI is ever going to regain the trust of this country, those 99% of good agents are going to have to start ratting out their "bad apples".

It would be logical that Epstein's disgusting, but diabolically brilliant extortion scheme, would have a number of backups of the data in places where they served to guarantee his well being. Most likely Ghislaine is one of them, and has a few backup guarantees of her own in place. Or else she would be dead! If the patron list and proof of their depravity is made public, the scandal will rock the foundations of organized society. And I would not be surprised if there are 'copycats' out there too. It would explain so much.

"You have read a lot about the Weimar Republic in Germany, and you sort of see great parallels between then and now," Cooper said in a preview clip released Monday. "Well, great parallels," said Ronstadt. "There were a lot of chances. Hitler rose to power; there were a lot of chances to stop him, and they didn't speak out. And the industrial complex thought they could control him once they got him in office. And of course, he was not controllable."
