Schumer Warned That Clinton's Impeachment
Would 'Seriously Weaken' the Presidency,
'Poison' House-Senate Relations

Original Article

Impeachment was designed "to be used rarely and only in times of national crisis," Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), then a member of the House Judiciary Committee, said on Dec. 10, 1998, as he argued against the impeachment of President Bill Clinton for, as Schumer put it, "sex and lying about sex." Schumer warned of "profound consequences" for the country and for the presidency if Clinton were to be impeached: Several weeks ago the notion that we would be on the verge of actually using the hammer of impeachment to remove the President for just the third time in 200 years was unthinkable.

Well, there were crimes in 1998. Nobody (even the coup plotters, Schiff show trial folks) have figured out what the crime is this time. Heck, they can't even get a hotel maid to flip that Trump told her to remove those "Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Federal Law" tags off his hotel mattresses.

Today's Democrat party doesn't care about what they said before. Remember, they are all about trying to change things (Constitution), and see a whole different type of country than they supposedly represent now. They don't like, or want, a Representative Republic, as they want to have popular vote to elect the President, which would also be a weakened President.

No...no....no.... To democrats, the fact that Trump "IS" the president is in and of itself a national crisis. They have been saying for three years that Trump is an existential threat to the constitution, the republic, the rule of law and the climate. To preserve the union, earth, our traditions andvway of life, Trump must be removed from office. Otherwise, Armageddon is assured.

But there is a difference . . . a BIG difference . . . Clinton lied under oath, thereby obstructing justice. He lost his law license and paid a fine, if memory serves. Despite what Schumer and company would have you believe, Clinton was impeached NOT because of sex outside of marriage. It wasn't the blue dress that got Clinton impeached. It was lying about it under oath. And it all had to do with harassment of women.

Clinton lied to the American people; one of the charges against Nixon. Clinton committed perjury as well as suborned perjury. Nixon did none of those things. As has been said up topic, POTUS Trump committed the "crimes" of being properly and legally elected and following thru to keep his promises made as a candidate; i.e., he has not lied to the American people either as President or as a candidate. His is a classic case of being blamed as the victim re: Russia, Ukraine, abuse of power, etc., etc.

President Trump said that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi only signed on to the USMCA trade deal because she was 'embarrassed' with the Democrats impeachment announcement. Standing outside the White House in the rain before heading to a rally in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Trump noted that Tuesday 'of all days' the House Democrats signed on to the trade deal. 'And I call that the silver lining to impeachment. Because without the impeachment they would hever never approved it, in my opinion,' Trump told reporters. 'And the reason is they wanted to muffle down the impeachment because they're embarrassed by it.'

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is asking Warner Bros. and the makers of “Richard Jewell” to release a statement acknowledging it took dramatic license when it portrayed journalist Kathy Scruggs as trading sex for tips. The Clint Eastwood film looks at the media circus that broke out around Jewell, a security guard who came under suspicion for orchestrating the Centennial Olympic Park bombing before being exonerated. Scruggs, an employee at the paper, broke the story that Jewell was under investigation by the FBI. The film shows Scruggs, portrayed by Olivia Wilde, sleeping with an FBI agent (Jon Hamm) to get the story. Scruggs died in 2001 at the age of 42.
