A Safe Space Society Is
A Totalitarian Nightmare

Original Article

As the undisputed star of the new film No Safe Spaces – the hit documentary on academia’s descent into Orwellian tyranny features a quick shot of a lawyer letter I wrote to some collegiate gulag apparatchiks – I wholeheartedly recommend that you go see it. Adam Carolla and Dennis Prager take you on a guided tour of the insanity and evil that has gripped academia, and it’s utterly terrifying. You need to see it not merely to gape at the freak show but to learn what’s coming for society as a whole. The dreary conformity factories that pretend to be providing our next generation of leaders with a higher education

"they are not engaged in argument. Rather, they simply assert whatever nonsense they believe will increase their own power" Yes. This is also why Republicans have failed. Some Republicans present rational arguments and try to persuade. They think their job is then done. The Left is not listening and simply emotes all over them. Republicans think they are foolish. But emotional outbursts resonate with people. Even rational people think, "They must have a reason to be so upset.". But there doesn't have to be a reason beyond the seeking of power and control and the tendency of groups of people to be emotionally led by their leaders and friends while eschewing rational thought. They become the Mob. As suggested, we need to "discard your bourgeois notions of reason and the presumption of good faith". As Trump has done, we need to relentlessly confront them and label them as "fake", liars. They get angry, up their game, get extreme and careless, and expose themselves. They can't help it because MORE OF THE SAME is all these people have to offer. But reasonable people see them slipping into absurdities and insanities. People watching Schiffty, Nadless, and their parade of dopey bureaucrats and academics and see it. The Republican Congressmen's skillful questioning leads each witless to admit that Trump has done nothing illegal and has stayed within his power as President. They just don't like what he has done. From there, Schiffty and Nadless plow on, oblivious to the reality that they have nothing to work with and that they have done more damage to themselves than Trump. The slavering media, already reduced to a caricature by Trump's relentlessness and certainty of their incompetence and bias, try to set the narrative and fail, again and again because Trump refuses to acquiesce to their labels or be cowed by their stories. Many have been upset by Trump's confrontational ways but it is the ONLY way to challenge an opponent that abandons rationality. Meanwhile, in the background, Trump is rationally getting the People's work done and done VERY well.

Great article. This is why I often challenge the notion that the left is hypocritical. If you fall for the notion that they are against prejudice it will seem so. When you grasp that they are all about total power they are quite consistent. The only thing they are consistent on is power. To be all about power necessitates that you dance around all sides of everything else.

Haven't see the film yet, but, much on the to-see radar. Since retirement last year, I tune into Prager's radio show often. What a unique and passionate individual. Indeed, it is very timely that Prager brings attention to our indoctrination centers and the massive brainwashing of our young people that is happening right before our very eyes. Thankfully, all three of our kids went to a local college in Denver that wasn't yet infected by the "insanity and evil".

By declaring "safe spaces" for spoiled brats to throw hateful temper tantrums, you violate the rights of normal citizens to have an intelligent conversation. It is amazing how many "snow flakes" that claim they are too fragile to hear something they disagree with resort to intimidation and violence to oppose it..

I go on liberal sites. Doesn't matter what the topic is but it's mostly politics. I generally disagree with opinions that are posted or the hard left slant of the story. The lack of tolerance is appalling. They are nasty, smug, condescending and verbally violent. And , they gang up on a dissenter. The left that is always telling us, the conservatives to be tolerant , they are anything but.

These things have been going on for a long time, and have certainly reached critical mass. On campus, the Leftists are emboldened, it's their safe space to say whatever they want and get away with it. Last week we had a couple of examples of how academia warped minds think and speak. On campus there have no restrictions, no standards. These institutions are the breeding ground of discontent fomenting anger that may lead to violence. Of course, their political enablers will always blame violence on guns not the thoughts that preempted the act. What is being done to counter this? What are the rights of students and individuals? Why should people pay thousands of dollars to be indoctrinated by Leftists ideology and be subject to an educational lobotomy. The academia industry is one of the biggest scams in our society. President Trump has a lot on of fixing to do on his plate right now. Hopefully in his second term this enormous problem will be one he tackles.

The "safe space" phenomenon reminds me of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. No one dares reveal being a conservative in public. If you do the nearest anti-American alien body will turn toward you with their arms up pointing and screeching at you, with crowds of similar folks converging on you with the same malevolent zeal. It's simply not a safe time to be a conservative anywhere near a liberal setting.

What is missing from all these gloomy predictions is the fact that we are not all sheep. The left views the world through their own associates and friends. They are the sheep of the left. The snowflakes. They think the rest of Americans can be bullied and made afraid, like them. That is one reason they hate President Trump. They actually fear him because he is not a fellow sheep. He fights back. When the confrontations come, the snowflakes will find that lawyers don't make good body armor, nor does everyone fear ANTIFA thugs. We have dealt with far worse and prevailed! The sheep will shocked.

The power-mongering leaders on the left won't listen because they know the truth, but dont care. They simply want power at any cost. Most of the brainwashed lemmings (followers) cannot be reasoned with because many are true-believers who think their leaders are honest and they cannot see the deception. Emotion is a really powerful weapon. I just spent the whole night writing on Facebook to educate misled leftists and TDS sufferers. I only hope I can get a few to think about it.

Seven people, all from different households, not only gathered for Thanksgiving but distributed to the media pictorial evidence of them flouting mask mandates and social distancing edicts. No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

Will Joe Biden and his foreign-policy team accept the extraordinary gift Team Trump is leaving for them under the Christmas tree — or is their hatred for the president so all-consuming that they will toss it in the garbage? Normalization has proceeded so quickly, Dubai already has a kosher restaurant, and its supermarkets are stocking Israeli agricultural products festooned with Stars of David — a science-fictional sight only a year ago.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.

Will Judge Emmett Sullivan accept President Trump’s pardon of General Michael Flynn? No one has suggested that possibility, other than The New York Sun. The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.

The race gap between the two has come down to the point where Tenney is leading by 106 votes and the only ballots left to possibly be considered are the ones that were “set aside” during the initial count due to irregularities.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
