What's the carbon footprint of a military invasion? And where's the army that the U.N. would use to invade a country that emits the CO2 that makes the world greener and greener?
This guy makes me even happier that I ditched academia after getting my Ph.D. and teaching at Harvard. Simon Kent reports for Breitbart:
The United Nations may resort to military action against states that defy its mandates on global climate action, according to Ole Wæver, a prominent international relations professor at the University of Copenhagen.
In an interview with ABC News in Australia, Professor Wæver cautions that what he sees as "climate inaction" might draw the

Gun buyers are currently on the cusp of breaking the record for the highest number of background checks conducted in one year’s time.
Breitbart News reported the record for the most background checks in a single year is 27.5 million, and we are fast approaching that number.
The FBI reports the number of checks for November 2019 was 2,574,752, an all-time record for the month of the November. This brings the number of checks for January 1, 2019 through November to 25,432,856, which is roughly 2.1 million away from a record.

University of North Carolina Law School professor Michael Gerhardt will testify Wednesday at the House Judiciary Committee that President Donald Trump is guilty of impeachable offenses, according to a prepared version of his opening statement published by PBS.
Gerhardt is one of three Democrat “expert” witnesses invited to testify on the first day of impeachment inquiry hearings in the committee. Republicans were allowed to invite one.
In his statement, Gerhardt will claim that “the record compiled thus far shows that the president has committed several impeachable offenses, including bribery, abuse of power in soliciting a personal favor from a foreign leader to benefit his political campaign, obstructing Congress, and obstructing justice.”

RUSH: Now, I’m giving Schiff some short shrift here because I think this is all much ado about something other than impeachment. Because, look, nothing’s changed. They know they’re not gonna get a conviction in the Senate, and yet they’re doing it. So what’s the objective? ‘Cause this makes no sense. If you really think this guy has misbehaved and needs to be thrown out of office, then you’re gonna go out, you’re gonna make the case for it, and you’re damn well gonna follow it through, you’re gonna get a conviction in the Senate, if this guy really has committed these kinds

RUSH: The other big news of the day, there’s a Washington Post story, and it has another famous, anonymous source. We don’t know who the source is. And the story says the attorney general, William Barr, has told, quote, unquote, associates that he disagrees with Horowitz’s conclusion – it’s the inspector general — report coming week from yesterday, December 9th. That he, Barr, disagrees with Horowitz’s conclusion that the FBI had enough information in July, 2016 to justify launching the investigation into the Trump campaign.
So the story is that Barr disagrees. He doesn’t think they had enough information to start the investigation. He thinks it was a spy operation.

This year's education scandal saw parents shelling out megabucks to gain college admittance for their children. Federal prosecutors have charged more than 50 people with participating in a scheme to get their children into colleges by cheating on entrance exams or bribing athletic coaches. They paid William Singer, a college-prep professional, more than $25 million to bribe coaches and university administrators and to change test scores on college admittance exams such as the SAT and ACT. As disgusting as this grossly dishonest behavior is, it is only the tiny tip of fraud in higher education.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Tuesday said Senate Republicans may have to come together to pass a partisan set of rules for an impeachment trial if he cannot strike a deal with Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
If the two fail to come to an agreement on a set of parameters for the impeachment trial, McConnell is likely to go to the Republican caucus to see who would vote alongside him, The Hill reported.
"It would depend on what we could agree to,” McConnell said in reference to a bipartisan deal. “That failing, I would probably come back to my own members and say,

Do you remember where you were at 9:26 p.m. EDT on July 31? Sen. Kamala Harris certainly does.
That was the moment her campaign for president ended. She only just got around to admitting it on Tuesday.
Harris, a former prosecutor in San Francisco and attorney general of California, had performed swimmingly in one of the two Democratic debate sessions held in late June. She made a real impression by taking former Vice President Joe Biden down a notch. Although she carefully avoided using the word, she insinuated that Biden’s erstwhile opposition to federally mandated busing made him a racist.

President Trump called his wife to give her a heads-up about an alleged tape showing him with prostitutes urinating on a bed in a Russian hotel room.
A former West Wing staffer said that when the allegations leaked, Trump “called Melania to tell her, incredulous to the point of laughter,” according to Free, Melania, a new book on the first lady.
“You won’t believe this,” the former staffer said Trump told his wife. “She thought it was funny, too, and the two of them, together, remarked how ridiculous it was.”

Congressional Republicans see Democratic desperation on impeachment, arguing that summoning constitutional scholars to the House Judiciary Committee reveals fear that the case against President Trump could crumble.
Four law professors are slated to testify on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, ostensibly to provide constitutional justification for Trump’s impeachment on grounds he abused his power in dealings with Ukraine. Republicans contend Democrats would have immediately called fact witnesses who could bolster

Should the Democrats impeach the president? It’s hard to see a considered strategy in the approach. The president stands accused of using the official functions of his office to create an advantage against his possible 2020 rival, former Vice President Joe Biden. To punish him, Democrats have launched an impeachment crusade that has no chance of succeeding in the Republian-controlled Senate. In fact, there appears to be no possible explanation for this course of action except to gain a 2020 electoral advantage against Trump.

The British police force was severely cut under prime ministers Tony Blair and David Cameron, the British version of the liberal-neocon duopoly who, just like their American counterparts, believed in the transformative nature of justice. Transform they did, although not criminals and terrorists. Instead they transformed their countries for worse. The British police force is kneecapped by its own ruling class, the product of its new woke elite, complete with crackpot theories and activist impulses.
The U.K. death penalty was removed due to the liberal empire. Police patrols were de-sexed — mom and dad duos, as some Brits call them.
