Among Black, Hispanic Voters

Support for impeaching President Donald Trump has collapsed among Hispanic and black voters—a situation that could doom Democrats in 2020.A recent national poll released by Emerson College indicates that black Americans, a key constituency of the Democrat Party, narrowly opposes Trump’s impeachment. The poll found that 38 percent of black voters are opposed, while 37 percent are in favor, with 25 percent unsure. Hispanic voters, meanwhile, were only narrowly in favor of impeachment, 48 percent to 41 percent, with 11 percent unsure. The Emerson poll also found 48 percent of white voters nationally were opposed to impeaching Trump, while 44 percent were supportive.

The REAL poll, showing support for impeachment, will be next November. In the meantime, all these silly polls are just made to give the media something to talk about, other than President Trump's success in Making America Great Again (MAGA!)

This should be interesting. If the state gives its approval, the town of Brookline, Massachusetts will gain a lot of new voters in the future. At a town meeting last week, residents voted to extend the right to vote in municipal elections to 16 and 17-year-olds. The vote wasn’t even close either, with the measure passing by a two to one margin. The reasons given by supporters are a bit on the dodgy side, but we’ll get to that in a moment. (CBS Boston) The town of Brookline is seeking approval from the state to lower the voting age to 16.

The family of a fallen soldier now has a place to call home just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday this year. The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation — an organization named after a New York City firefighter who died while saving others during the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center — awarded three mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families this year, and Jillian Hinton’s family was one of the families chosen. “There are no words on earth that can actually describe the level of excitement and gratitude I have,” Hinton told WFLA. Hinton’s husband U.S. Army Sgt. Terrance Hinton died in 2017

Jeff Zucker’s fake news outlet is such a discredited failure that even during impeachment far-left CNN could not attract a million average viewers. The cable television ratings for November are in, and CNN is in far-last place in the cable news wars… again.Throughout the entire month of November, a month with two weeks of “historic” and heavily-hyped impeachment hearings, CNNLOL could only attract 760,000 viewers throughout the day and an even more pathetic 999,000 viewers during primetime. What’s more, in the all-important 25-54 age demo, when compared to this same month last year, CNN’s primetime ratings collapsed an incredible 36 percent.

A recent article in the Associated Press is now getting roundly mocked for featuring an etiquette expert who suggested that people hosting Thanksgiving provide an actual safe space for people to discuss the current political issues. The article by Dan Sewell, titled “On the Thanksgiving menu: Turkey, with a side of impeachment,” argued that politics are just too polarizing in today’s America and will surely be a topic around the dinner table come Thursday’s holiday. Rather than skirt the issue, Sewell suggests people should discuss politics both openly and safely. After quoting several individuals who fear how politics could cloud the day, Sewell employed Elaine Swann, “a Los Angeles-based etiquette coach,”

As so many of us drive home this week, take the train across states, or fly across the country, we’ll have a little extra time to think about and reflect on what we’re thankful for this Thanksgiving Day. Family, friends and home will come to mind for most of us.And these are all legitimate things to be grateful for, to be sure. But if we drill down a little deeper, perhaps we can ask: What made those things possible? Who and what even brought them into being? How about our country? There are many answers to that. There are all those who fought and bled for us.

A House vote to impeach President Trump could put a critical faction of moderate Democrats at risk in 2020.Two weeks of public impeachment hearings have failed to ramp up support for ejecting Trump, polls show, and it has raised questions about the political risks of voting to impeach him.“I’ll have to see,” Rep. Donna Shalala, who represents a Miami swing district, told the Washington Examiner. “Whether it will shift their minds one way or the other, I don’t know that.” Just two Democrats voted against the ongoing impeachment proceeding when the House took up the measure on Oct. 31.

Education is such a fundamental element of American life, we often take it for granted. Yet the fundamental nature of education is precisely what makes it the political policy every citizen should care about.Whether you have children or not, education policy affects you. Children spend 12 of the most formative years of their lives -- typically seven hours a day, 180 days per year -- in school. That’s a minimum of 1,260 hours per year, or 15,120 total hours from the first grade through the 12th grade. During those thousands of hours, the minds of American youth are being influenced, for better or worse.

Hatred makes you crazy. There is perhaps no surer example of this principle than Never Trump stalwart Bill Kristol. Not that Warren is anywhere near his first pick... "I very much prefer Biden or Buttigieg or Bloomberg or Klobuchar to Warren. But the idea that one term of Warren would pose anything like the threat of a second term for Trump to the basic norms and institutions of our liberal democracy, including to free markets, is laughable," Kristol insisted.

That firestorm, pitting pro-women feminists against extreme pro-transgender progressives, will begin July 24th, just as the Presidential sweepstakes moves into its sprint to the finish line. On July 25, 2019, President Donald Trump picked up the phone in the White House residence and attempted to shake down a foreign leader. Trump’s language was elliptical and soft, not direct and threatening, but his intentions were clear: He wanted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to “do us a favor.” That was Trump’s entree to his improper, indecent requests that Zelenskiy’s government undertake two investigations that would benefit Trump politically. Trump didn’t explain his motives, which of course were self-serving. First, he asked Zelenskiy to “find out what happened” with Ukraine’s supposed meddling, alongside Russia, in the 2016 U.S. election. Then there was Trump’s “other thing”: his desire that Ukraine “look into”

The Democrats have their choice as to where they will fail, which, in large part, can help determine the extent of the self-inflicted damage their party will ultimately suffer.
