Court rules atheist can have ‘I’m God’ license

A US court has ruled that a man can have a license plate with the phrase “IM GOD”. According to court documents in a federal court in the state of Kentucky, Ben Hart, who identifies as an atheist, applied for the license plate in 2016 but was denied. Back then, the state transportation department said the request went against its anti-discrimination guidelines. After getting legal support from the Kentucky American Civil Liberties Union and the Freedom From Religion Foundation, Hart challenged the decision in U.S. District Court in Frankfort and won. A judge ruled that “vanity plates” are considered private speech which is protected by the US First Amendment.

It seems like he's saying IM GOD, as in I am your God or I'm THE God, not just I'm my own god. Either way, I thought the whole point of atheists is that there is no God. A bit psychotic.

Penn Jillette applied for license plate that said "INFIDEL". He is clear, honest, frank and public about his positions. The State of Nevada refused. I'm sure The State would let him get "Christians Suck" as an alternative. Seriously, we are losing and it matters.

Whatever happened to "Freedom of Speech"? It's up there with the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. “IM GOD” is not obscene. Americans have every right to make fools of themselves...well, they used to, anyways.

That should be spelled, "FOOL." Atheists make themselves out to be "gods" through humanism. Even Satan said that he would make himself to be "LIKE the Most High God" in Isaiah 14:14.

Either Hart's plate is a blatant lie or a positive assertion of his own non-existence. Whichever the case would justify being roundly mocked by all. Atheism is more than just checking "none of the above" for religion (or the blanket rejection of religion) -- but specifically the belief that there is no God.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
