Much has been written about the so-called Resistance of disgruntled Clinton, Obama, and progressive activists who have pledged to stop Donald Trump’s agenda. The choice of the noun “Resistance,” of course, conjures up not mere “opposition,” but is meant to evoke the French “resistance” of World War II—in the melodramatic sense of current loyal progressive patriots doing their best to thwart by almost any means necessary the Nazi-like Trump. We know from a variety of disinterested watchdog institutions and foundations that the media has offered 90 percent negative coverage of the Trump Administration. CNN in its anti-Trump zeal has ruined its brand by serial fabrications and firings of its

The progressives have rotted out the highest levels of military leadership by promoting leftist activists just as they rotted out the judiciary with activist judges. They leave no stone unturned.

This is a disturbing article, to say the least. One can see the "machinery" in motion as Mr. Hanson describes. It makes one think that "military intelligence" is really an oxymoron, after all. I believe the anti-American Left is proving itself to be a well-entrenched nefarious cabal that couldn't care less about American greatness, or the decent citizens of our Nation. They are willing to destroy America and our way of life in their effort to remain entrenched, bleed us dry, and neutralize our national greatness. To what end, I'm at a loss to discern.
Once America is destroyed any benefit to them would seem short-term at best. The damage will affect their posterity forever. How is this a win for them? Life is short, they will stand in Judgement and give account for their lives, their lies, and their selfish, self-serving greed.
Sanity appears to exist only on the side of the President and those who support him. All others are willing to sell their souls to undermine him even if it means the destruction of the USA. May God help us keep our Nation and our President.

If they have trouble with Trump's policies, then they have a problem with the Americans who elected him to carry out the business of the United States. The military people have no such backing. They are not elected. They are military bureaucrats and, like it or not, Trump is their commander. If Trump broke serious laws, there is a mechanism to address that. But Trump, as noted in the article, has not done anything like that. I wonder how any of these generals would have managed an uprising by a bunch of the people under their command? I'll bet the Junior officers would not fare well. Insubordination and mutiny come to mind.
Deep state indeed.

As a Veteran, it saddens me to see these Military officers betray the oath they took when they were commissioned. As Military, the President is the Commander and Chief. Your personal views are just that personal.

A year or so ago, Kurt Schlieter (sp?) at Townhall wrote a two part article about a partially-military-supported coup against Pres Trump. The coup failed by morning but not after several hundred died and many were convicted for their participation. I thought it was fantasy, but now I'm not sure.

With these kinds of generals, it is no wonder that the US has not "won" a war since 1945 (the soldiers won the battles, the generals and politicians wasted their efforts). What we have are a bunch of Benedict Arnold's, McClellans, and George Custers. I might throw Powell in there as well since he was not inclined to finish off Saddam Hussein when he had the chance.

'Resistance' is a reference to the French resistance in WWII?
Here I thought it was a reference to the 'Resistance' or 'Rebel Alliance' against the evil Empire in the Star Wars movies series. I have a strong suspicion that most of the left 'resisters' have no idea that WWII (My Dad was a US Marine Sergeant out in the Pacific..... I have a photo of him sitting on a knocked-out Japanese tank).... anyway, I think most of these snowflakes have no idea that WWII ever happened. For them 'history' starts in the 1960's with the Great Society and the 'civil rights' movement.
They know about Star Wars and Darth Vader.
WWII?, I'm not so sure.
