As Scott noted a little while ago, the Washington Post has made a fool of itself with its obituary for al-Baghdadi. The Post’s headline for its obituary–its second attempt, apparently–was “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48.” That prompted mockery across the internet:
Adolf Hitler, Austrian vegan activist and landscape painter, dies at 56https://t.co/szPOVa5Sae
— David Burge (@iowahawkblog) October 27, 2019
“John Wayne Gacy, children’s party clown, dead at age 52” https://t.co/W64p94Zixa

What the Washington Post wrote for al Baghdadi's obituary was disgusting and indeed foolish. Let it be known that the Washington Post has said nicer things about a dead terrorist leader than the current President of the United States. And the MSM wonders why their readership and viewing numbers have dwindled. They are the enemy of the people and prove this every single day.
My mocking tweet was as follows:
"John Wayne Gacy, businessman and community volunteer, known in part for his performances at Democratic party functions, charitable events, and children's hospitals as "Pogo the Clown", dies aged 52.

Hinderaker is right, you can't mock the Washington Post enough. This is going to be like jury duty -- all voting-age citizens will be required to submit a parody headline.
Adolf Hitler, International Community Organizer, Newlywed, Dead at 56.

Since the article mentions David Burge, I wish he would write another Zarkman press release on al-Baghdadi similar to the one when Osama bin Laden was killed and became Zarkman's roommate in Hell.
Google it and have a laugh.

Their headline is a total insult to rational thought.

#WaPoDeathNotices is an epic Twitter thread. The Washington Post well deserves the mockery. What is wrong with these people, anyway.

Adolph Hitler, an aspiring artist and community organizer, was driven to commit suicide along with his long time significant other, Eva Braun. Likely Nazi-Phobes are to blame... NY Times hardest hit.

The Washington Post would be more useful to decent people if it were printed on paper about six inches wide and rolled up on a cardboard tube. The problem is that it is already full of crap.

This would be very funny if it wasn't so sad ... and maddening!
What would make a rational person look past the terrible crimes of this now dead dirt bag? They make it sound like he was St Augustine writing his "Confessions" in Hippo while the Vandals were attacking. There are pictures of this dead dog carrying a machine gun on his back --- which he may have used against Americans. I don't recall Thomas More doing that or Aquinas.
We are sad to report that late Saturday night Ernesto (known simply as "Che" to his friends) Guevara, the well known motorcyclist, physician's assistant and close-quarter pistol marksman died suddenly at the age of 39 from lead poisoning . There will be no funeral as the body has been hidden in an unmarked grave. Condolences may be sent to Havana, attention F. Castro.

The post headline, “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48,” sounds like it was for a respect academic instead of the bloodthirsty terrorist he was.
My suggest would be, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi goes out with a ''BANG."
