President Trump said Sunday morning that he did not tell House Speaker Nancy Pelosi about the U.S. military raid in Syria that resulted in the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi because he was worried about leaks that could have compromised the mission. Vice President Mike Pence said this was not an indication of a lack of trust. When asked if he notified Pelosi beforehand, Trump said he did not because he did not want any members of the U.S. forces to die.

Had POTUS told Pelosi of the raid before it occurred, al-Baghdadi would be alive today.

That was a very smart move by President Trump. Expounding on what Poster #1 said, if Pelosi, Nadler, and Schiff had been told beforehand, they or their radical staffs, would have leaked that information like mad to their liberal media allies. That positively would have caused the tactical operations to be sabotaged, possibly with some American soldiers being killed, and al Baghdadi escaping and still alive today. Clearly those House Democrat leaders will do anything to make Trump look bad in anyway those Democrats believe would lower Trump’s chances of being re-elected, they show that everyday be their actions and words. Trump had to get the Russians on board as the attacking force had to fly through Syrian airspace that is being defended by modern Russian air defense systems both on the ground and on tactical aircraft. Notice that the Russians did not leak the information that they were given.

There have been stories regarding people in Congress with terrorist ties. Specifically Muslim Brotherhood. There have been stories of journalists with terrorist ties. Can Pelosi keep her mouth shut? There is evidence she cannot. These people with terrorist connections are watching and listening. Word could have made it back to ISIS regarding what was planned. Trump was right to keep Pelosi, and the rest of Congress in the dark.

Trump was smart. The Dems hate Trump far more than they hate ISIS. Since "an enemy of my enemy is my friend", the Dems would have eagerly sabotaged the mission if they were able. Not warning the Dems is necessary to avoid warning ISIS. We saw the same phenomenon in the Korean war and Vietnam. Liberal Democrats really do hate America.

Trump has no Constitutional obligation to inform Congress beforehand of military raids. That is merely a courtesy that they’ve done nothing to earn. Leaking to the media is a national security issue and the Democrats use it constantly as a political strategy. He did the right thing.

His plan was to take out ISIS leaders and it looks like it will be successful. All the nations cooperated in taking out an important terrorist. Those people that booed Trump at the ball game should be ashamed of their action. Trump did not say what he was about to do or give out any information on the action. They pledged to focus less on conflict than on finding common ground with their Republican colleagues. They also modulated their comments concerning President Trump and, when the subject of impeachment arose, they insisted that it would be a destructive and unproductive exercise. Thursday, however, all but two voted in favor of a hyper-partisan impeachment resolution, exposing their campaign promises as cynical lies and ensuring that the Democrats will lose their House majority in 2020.

In The Atlantic, Sarah Longwell, executive director for something called Republicans for the Rule of Law, an advocacy group run by NeverTrumps still bitter that Jeb Bush was denied his designated shot to lose to Hillary, drafts a plan for Senate Republicans to finally oust Trump from office. Her man for the job: Senator Romney. The piece reads like a screenwriter optioning a script. There's drama, scuttlebutt, the balancing of ambitions, character conflict, palace intrigue, a war of values. There's even artsy ambiguity, with Longwell unable to provide a satisfying conclusion to her fictional putsch.
