Climate Change Extremism Isn’t

If you think most people are willing to make drastic changes to their lives because of climate change, let alone restructure the entire economy and do away with fossil fuels and capitalism, think again. A viral video of London commuters dragging a pair of climate change protesters off the top of a train Thursday morning perfectly captures this disconnect between environmentalist doomsayers and ordinary working people. The activists, part of a climate change group called Extinction Rebellion that’s been staging protests throughout the city since last Monday, shut down the tube when they climbed atop a train in London’s Canning Town station

That was a very satisfying video to watch! Two (or more?) nut jobs got dragged off the commuter train and roughed up. Climate change activists do not have jobs. These people do!

Has their ever been a policy that is detrimental to the health and welfare of the country that the radical left do not support? Progressives are intolerant destroyers. They would strain at a gnat but swallow a camel. Their stubborn willfulness to bully others is becoming a psychological pathology that will ultimately destroy them because reasonable people will not tolerate their lies and hypocrisy. As always, their ideas do not stand up to scrutiny, therefore, all they have is forced compliance and people are not going to be pushed to agree with their insanity. We see this for what it is, a form of control. If it was the crisis they say it is, they would not be flying all over the world and buying mansions on the coast. Puhleeze...these extremists are nothing but intolerant self-righteous virtue signaling bullies. If they were serious, they would call out the real polluters of the planet, China and India. How much courage does it take to protest in a country that is actually doing something for the environment as opposed to countries that are disgusting polluters with no intention of cleaning up their act. While I don’t condone violence, it was satisfying to watch these protestors get some pushback. They were shocked when the average guy on the street had had enough. Maybe they will think next time about the consequences of interrupting working people trying to get to their jobs. Reasonable people are fed up with their tactics.

"The vast majority of Americans — about 8 in 10 — said climate change is man-made, about half said urgent action is needed, and nearly 4 in 10 said it’s a crisis. At the same time, fewer than 4 in 10 said they were willing to make to make “major sacrifices” or pay for it out of their own pockets." This is idiotic and shows the brainwashing of the climate Alarmists. IF it is a REAL crisis and urgent action is REALLY needed, people would be willing to make sacrifices and pay for change. This survey result shows that, while people have learned the buzzwords and message, THEY DON'T REALLY BELIEVE IT and are not willing to be inconvenienced by it. Climate change is a "crisis" as a label only. The word has become meaningless. The Alarmists have succeeded in getting their message out but have so diluted the language and meaning that with the value of the response they get and a $1 they could get a cup of coffee.

Qantas made history after its longest non-stop commercial flight from New York successfully touched down in Sydney on Sunday morning. The test flight, done under Australian commercial airline group Qantas, took off from the JFK airport at 9.27pm on Friday and landed in Sydney at 7.33am on Sunday. Passenger numbers were largely made up of Qantas employees as numbers intentionally restricted to minimise the weight on board the Boeing 787-9 plane. The plane travelled the 10,200 miles without refuelling - a feat achieved by no other plane.

From the vast right-wing conspiracy to the vast Russian conspiracy — Hillary Clinton has journeyed a long way in her tinfoil hat over the last 20 years, and the road has been all downhill. And now the failed kleptocrat is all in on the blame game, naming names, throwing everybody under the bus, especially liberal females. And the most delicious part is that the accused Russkie assets are firing back. Take it away, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-HI. “Great! Thank you, @Hillary Clinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain.”

In Mexico’s big cities, drug cartel gunmen normally act like phantoms. They hide in safe houses or amid communities, suddenly striking with an assassination or a gunfight, and then disappearing again. Residents know they are there and are scared, but most the time, they can’t see them. But on Thursday in the Sinaloan city of Culiacan, the cartel gunmen were everywhere. They openly drove in trucks with mounted machine guns, blockaded streets flashing their Kalashnikovs and burned trucks unleashing plumes of smoke like it was a scene in Syria. They took control of the strategic points in the metro area, shut down the airport, roads, and government buildings

Consumers outraged about slow dishwashers are staunchly backing an Energy Department move, over industry objections, to create a new category of products that feature a one-hour washing cycle. Individual consumers have flooded the public comment docket in support of the Energy Department proposal, which grants a petition made by the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a free-market think tank. The agency proposal would establish a separate product class for dishwashers that clean and dry dishes within one hour, an action that would exclude those appliances from current energy and water conservation standards until separate rules are crafted. The Energy Department could finalize the proposal as soon as next year.

House Democrats’ top impeachment inquisitor abruptly changed from repeatedly insisting on the testimony of a whistleblower against President Donald Trump to working to prevent it. The change occurred as soon as it was revealed the complainant had secretly worked with Rep. Adam Schiff’s Democratic staff prior to filing his formal complaint on Aug. 12. At first, Schiff insisted an anti-Trump bureaucrat sharing allegations against the president must share his story with the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. But after news broke that Schiff’s staff had secretly worked with the whistleblower prior to the complaint being lodged, discussions that the whistleblower failed to mention when specifically asked

Former governor John Kasich (R., Ohio), a legendary as*hole even by modern political standards, said Friday that he has been pushed "across the Rubicon," and now thinks President Donald Trump should be impeached. "The issue of impeachment is really big to me," Kasich said. "I say it with great sadness. This is not something that I really wanted to do." However, Kasich said, the president's behavior with respect to Ukraine "cannot be tolerated." The former Republican presidential candidate, who was one of the many political opponents humiliated by Trump during the 2016 GOP primary, announced his impeachment swing during an interview with Ana Cabrera on CNN,

I’m not a huge fan of the film The African Queen. I’ve actually only seen it twice. But I know it well enough to know that, much as I’d like to tell you I identify with Charlie Allnut, Humphrey Bogart’s character in the film, I’m actually closer to Rose Sayer, as portrayed by Katharine Hepburn. I’m aging and unmarried, straitlaced, religious, and set in my ways. In the last few years I’ve discovered another personal resemblance to Rose. I feel as if I’m riding a boat down a river, in hostile territory, tied up with, and dependent on, someone I’m dubious about. President Donald Trump is Charlie Allnut to me.

My neighborhood in Shreveport, Louisiana, is a perfect example of the income inequality, poverty, and legacy of racism that fuel so much political discussion today. Historically, Allendale was known as the “Bottoms,” the black side of town in the Jim Crow South, crowded with shotgun shacks and separate and unequal schools. Fannin Street, once a commercial strip with bars and brothels, was the name of a pounding Leadbelly song; it’s just a few blocks from where my husband Emmitt and I live today, where we mentor neighborhood kids. Allendale was poor and black a century ago, and remains so. Census numbers tell the story: 31 percent

STOCKHOLM – Twenty prisoners live in one small room. They are handcuffed, their heads shaved, every move is monitored by ceiling cameras. A bucket in the corner of the room is their toilet. The daily routine begins at 6 A.M. They are learning Chinese, memorizing propaganda songs and confessing to invented sins. They range in age from teenagers to elderly. Their meals are meager: cloudy soup and a slice of bread. Torture – metal nails, fingernails pulled out, electric shocks – takes place in the “black room.” Punishment is a constant. President Trump is 100% right to note that Hunter Biden profited massively off his father’s high government position: Even if none of it was ever illegal, it’s still wrong. So why can’t the president see the problem with having next June’s G-7 summit at the Trump National in Doral, Florida? It doesn’t matter if the resort only charges cost, as acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney vowed Thursday — or if it’s “by far and away the best physical location.” It’s still wrong. Even if the place is absolutely perfect — so good that it will have other world leaders backing Washington’s position on everything — it’s still the president’s resort.

No, this is not from the Babylon Bee. It actually comes from the Oprah Winfrey Network, and a segment featuring Professor Britney Cooper, who sports a PhD from Emory University and who currently is an associate professor in the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University. With that sort of background, perhaps it isn’t surprising to eternalize blame for obesity on racism and seem to indict President Trump for it. (snip) While this is all funny, it is also tragic.
