Elizabeth Warren’s way of winning 2020
nomination risks re-electing Trump

It’s the Elizabeth Warren moment. She has risen in the polls and is now tied with Joe Biden atop the Real Clear Politics average. And that rise will likely continue, since she is bound to benefit from Bernie Sanders’ health crisis. She and Sanders have spent the year so far splitting the progressive Democratic vote, and his heart attack last week, as well as the three days of prevaricating his campaign did about it, will likely hasten his polling decline. Sanders did not appear in the CNN town hall dedicated to gay issues due to his ongoing recovery, which surely raises questions

This ridiculous "townhall" was staged. She had the questions ahead of time and had hired writers compose her "answers". The intention was to make this look like some kind of spontaneous moment of wit on her part. Her assumption that it would be a man who would ask suck a question is obviously flawed, just like assuming that all women are default pro-abortion.

A black talk show host on our city's major talk radio said blacks in the South will not vote for Warren. She lacks any kind of charisma. She reminds me of the scolding soon to retire college professor. She always sounds angry.

Why would African Americans vote for her? She built her career by lying to exploit advantages intended for people of color. They're going to reward that?

It isn't that she "doesn't know America". She and the other dems don't CARE about America and don't RESPECT Americans. But don't worry. Liz has a plan to "fix" everything. Here's a question. Even though there is shifting support for Gay marriage, when looking over a couple "priority lists for the public for this year, at the top I see things like poor government leadership, immigration, the economy, race relations, clean environment (not climate change), poverty, drug addiction, crime/violence, education, terrorism, and social security. Gay/Lesbian rights is only on one of the lists and it rates an asterisk (*) which indicates less than .5%. Now there may be a bunch of people that like chiwawas, but if Warren thinks she is going to "ride" a chiwawa into the White House, it is going to be a LONG, LONG slog. She will have to pull up her knees and be careful her headdress doesn't drag in the mud.

When Schiff and his whistleblower drama runs out of steam and when the democrats finally realize that they don't have a viable candidate they are going to try something really desperate. It could be one of the despicable First Ladies being dragged out from behind the curtain or it could be another trumped up charge against Trump. We'll know it when we see it but their chances now, like their overall politics, are in the gutter.

Careful about throwing Lizzie under the bus. Billary is waiting for her handlers to announce her official coming out as the candidate who put Lizzie and the others out to pasture, will save the dim party, and try to sweep America off its feet with a stolen victory riddled with corruption. But, the coast is not clear yet because still too many loose ends involving her criminal past that AG Barr is still digging into which explains why Billary needs to keep using this impeachment narrative as cover for a while longer. And Arkancide hasn't finished doing its job.

I actually don't think Trump would use the gay marriage issue against Warren. There are so many other issues on which she is vulnerable - like government controlled health care and massive tax increases.

I seriously doubt the author's contention that support for 'gay marriage' has risen to 3/5 (60%) of the population. Social pressure by the gaystopo has succeeded in silencing many, who fear the branding and ostracism associated with ascerting something that, so recently, was simply a matter of biology wrapped in common sense. I think that many in our nation are still in shock that something that is so absurd and contrary to both biology and social order was so quickly and easily adopted by their 'betters', but deep down they still harbor a strong sense that calling right wrong and applauding sin is not congruent with their beliefs.

I think I had a teacher once just like Warren in HS! I had an A in English Lit per the agreed upon standards. I said no thank you when she asked for my extra credit paper. Asked why, I replied that I have an A, I don’tneed extra credit! Warpath was set against me! I was forced to go to teepee of heap big tribe chief. Chief principle said do paper or no graduate. The case for identifying the whistleblower 3 replies

The identity of the person who filed the intelligence community whistleblower complaint that sparked the drive to impeach President Trump remains a secret. Democrats leading the impeachment campaign say his or her identity (for brevity, the whistleblower will hereafter be referred to as "he") must remain closely guarded. Advocates of whistleblower laws, such as Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, agree. The New York Times came under heavy criticism when it reported that the whistleblower is a CIA officer. "Any decision to report any perceived identifying information of the whistleblower is deeply concerning and reckless, as it can place the individual in harm's way," Andrew Bakaj, the whistleblower's lawyer, told the Times.

Pope Francis spent a brief period of his Jesuit formation in Germany. He was sent there to get a doctorate in theology, but, finding the work tedious and feeling homesick, he returned to Buenos Aires. He once told a fellow Jesuit that studying “fundamental theology” is “boring” — a bizarre attitude for a churchman that explains his intellectually slipshod pronouncements. Not that Francis doesn’t revere German theologians. He does, exceedingly so, particularly heretical ones. During the conclave that elected him, he stayed in a room across from Walter Kasper, the German cardinal famous for his project to liberalize and Protestantize the Church from top to bottom. I wrote here and here that, although the Democrats’ impeachment claims are frivolous, they have hurt President Trump in the polls. Trump’s history is that he tends to rise in the polls until a negative news cycle hits–which happens often–and then he will drop back down. In the latter post, I noted that before the impeachment frenzy struck, Trump had been rising in the Rasmussen survey. He was at 53% approval among likely voters as of September 24, a number that if maintained suggests a clear path to re-election. The coupling of the words “Trump” and “impeachment” in newspaper headlines–the real purpose of the Democrats’ impeachment drive–drove

Ronan Farrow’s new book, Catch and Kill, which will be published on Tuesday, reads like a thriller, beginning with two Russian spies in an Uzbek restaurant in Brooklyn, before unwinding and building toward ever-darker revelation. And while it may be tempting to understand the book’s major bombshell as the on-the-record allegation that Matt Lauer anally raped Brooke Nevils, a younger NBC colleague with whom he went on to have an affair, it’s not the assault itself (which Lauer denies) that serves as the book’s chilling denouement. Rather, it’s the whole, intricate puzzle Farrow puts together, with astounding reportorial reach and detail: a weave of phone conversations, texts,

The Nobel Prize Committee announced today that Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed had won this year’s Peace Prize. The NY Times reported on the reasons for his win: Mr. Abiy, 43, broke through two decades of frozen conflict between his vast country, Africa’s second most populous, and Eritrea, its small and isolated neighbor. When he became prime minister of Ethiopia in 2018, he threw himself at a breakneck pace into reforms at home, and peace negotiations with the rebel-turned-dictator Isaias Afwerki, president of Eritrea… In its official announcement, the Nobel Committee detailed a litany of accomplishments for Mr. Abiy in his first 100 days as prime minister:

There are plenty of differences between a liberal and a conservative — one lives primarily in coastal cities and university towns, the other in rural and exurban areas; one is likely to be older, white and middle income; the other, more likely to be younger, a member of a sexual or ethnic minority, and either quite affluent or quite poor; one is a customer of Chick-fil-A and Spice House, while the other goes to Popeyes and Penzeys Spices. But here’s one difference you may not have thought about: The conservative is more likely to be married. Liberals do, of course, get married, and write joint checks to Greenpeace before

Since the NBA-China affair blew up last weekend, a number of commentators have lambasted the NBA for its craven response to China, noting the hypocrisy of a league that publicly prides itself on being the social vanguard in America but has no problem kowtowing to Chinese autocrats to maintain access to their lucrative markets. The argument goes like this: there’s a massive disconnect between the values the NBA espouses and its willingness, say, to look the other way in China, where the league runs a training program not far from where Uighur Muslims are forcibly sent to reeducation camps. The NBA’s pursuit of filthy lucre, in this view,

Last week, as Americans grappled with the prospect of presidential impeachment and the national capacity for surprise seemed fatally depleted, news came out that shook people to their core. It was about meat. Eating red and processed meat, the headlines declared, was no longer unhealthy. It seemed—at a glance—that a bad thing was now a good thing. The stories were based on a recently published analysis of existing evidence in which one group of researchers recommended that “adults continue their current levels of meat consumption.” This conclusion—which the journal that published the research called “guidelines”—was written by a group called NutriRECS. Newsom also signed a companion bill allowing the gun violence restraining orders to last one and five years, although the gun owners could petition to end those restrictions earlier.
