The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit upheld a subpoena for President Donald Trump’s accounting records Friday, potentially teeing up a landmark fight between the president and Congress in the Supreme Court.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee issued a subpoena to Mazars USA LLP after former Trump associate Michael Cohen accused the president of inflating assets and erasing liabilities on federal financial disclosures. U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta upheld the subpoena in May.
“Contrary to the president’s arguments, the committee possesses authority under both the House rules and the Constitution to issue the subpoena, and Mazars must comply,” the decision reads.

Does this mean they can require all of congress to show their tax returns?

Are there still any morons out there who do not believe that the federal courts have not been completely politicized?

If the Rebublicans had a spine, they would issue from the Senate subpoenas for the tax returns of every District of Columbia's judges and site this decision as their authority. Wonder how the next court will rule if that happens.

My question would be, did the House Rules allow this recently, or have for say decades?
If they weren't the rules in effect when the tax returns being requested can they actually ask for something prior to the rule?

Judge Mehta is, naturally, an appointee of the Manchurian candidate, Buraq Hussein Soetoro. With assistance from the GOP-e traitors who allowed the appointment to be confirmed in 2014 by a VOICE VOTE. No integrity there, none whatever. FIRE them all, starting with the nitwit-in-black-robes.

Trump should do exactly what the Democrats do. Send the committee 10 pages at a time and say they are looking for the rest. That will last til the end of his remaining 5-1/2 years in office. The Left ALWAYS destroys documents, says they have lost documents, hands documents over in dribbles and drabs a few sheets at a time, or simply ignores the legal requests. They are doing that RIGHT NOW, .

We all know this is utter BS, If the House Committee had a concern about Trump's accounting and taxes, they could refer the matter to the IRS.
No. This is about finally seeing Trump's financials, and leaking everything to the front page of WaPo.
All business relations, partners, subsidiaries, companies, etc. will be leaked and doxxed or blacklisted.
The personal finance information of this Obama judge should be released

Joke Biden apparently didn't register as a foreign lobbyist, agent of a foreign power, nor admitted to the $900k from Barisma on his tax returns, but that's OK?
POTUS will win this in the Supreme Court. If the IRS didn't audit him, nor shall the partisan Democrats.

For sure this ruling discriminates against all successful business people across the country, who are outside the ivory tower scope of career DC lawyer-politicians. If this clearly political ruling in the favor of The DC UniParty lawyer-politicians is upheld by the US Supreme Court, it is going to deter a lot of successful Republican business people from ever running for President in the future.
There have been 44 US Presidents in office before President Trump. Who ever heard of the opposing political party in Congress ever demanding to see any of those President’s business, financial, and tax records before? If the Supreme Court rules that the President must turn over all of his personal and business records to the Congressional Democrats, they will surely be leaked to the New York Times and the Washington Post for public dissemination in an extreme invasion of President’s Trump’s privacy.
