The campaign for Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) revealed on Friday, as the 78-year-old was discharged from a Las Vegas hospital, that he had suffered a heart attack earlier in the week. Sanders canceled all campaign events on Tuesday after experiencing chest pains and being rushed to the hospital. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the senator underwent surgery “to treat a blocked artery, having two stents inserted to prop open the artery,” Reuters reported. Sanders’ treating physicians, Arturo Marchand Jr. and Arjun Gururaj, said in a statement:

Look, Bernie, I can call you Bernie, right? I mean in your system we are all equals.. Anyway, be real. You took more than your share of the pie. Now go back to your multiple houses and your felonious wife. Call it a day.

He's done. Don't mean any disrespect, but good for us, if his campaign ends.

Bless his little heart. Looking forward to his celebration of life and 12 days of around the clock tv coverage of his funeral.

What's the big deal? I had 2 stents put in my blocked arteries when I was 70. I had another that was 30% blocked that they couldn't put a stent in without surgery. The doc asked me what I wanted to do about it. I said it's 70% good so forget the Zoro stuff and just give me pills. The last time I had an angiogram I was 82 an the doc told me all my arteries were good even the one that was 30%. So as far as I'm concerned this stent thing is helpful along with the proper meds. I got an 89 birthday coming up in Jan. Also I have a neighbor who is in her late 60s and has as at least 20 stents. She is a big woman and is very active. So If any of my beloved poster here ever are told you need stents. Don't get nervous it's an easy operation.

Under socialized medicine that Bernie advocates, he would have been dead years ago.

Iowa voters and the caucus system make ridiculous demands on presidential candidates. The McGovernites were the ones who moved Iowa caucuses into a stupid place of importance. That is why our lawnmowers, outboard motors, car engines are all junked up with ethanol blends in our gasoline.
Bernie should probably hang it up, buy a few more houses, visit Cuba, China, and Russia, maybe meet with Pope Marxist I. That could be on his bucket list.

First, thanks to Poster#8 for staying with us here - we can all benefit from your experience and wisdom!
Perception means a great deal in politics. For B.S. -ha ha- a hear attack, even a mild one, is not a good look. Younger socialists have displaced him in the national spotlight. His last campaign is already a faint memory.
Donald J. Trump picked off his competitors, one by one. This time it's Nature - maybe God - and bad optics that are picking off the weakest of the entirely weak Dem primary candidates. Joe and Bernie are the latest. Looks like the powers that kept Shrillary in the mix last time will have to act quickly to get their winner. Wall St. has made it clear that the just-as-shrill Elizabeth Warren will not get their support. She could still be the nominee but she will play the sacrificial lamb just like Walter Mondale.
Trump's a marketing genius. He starts with what the people want and what is right and good for America. Then he punches back as the Dems build their scaffold and buy the rope that will hang their sorry butts. may God protect our President and may He bless the United States of America.
