For those of us living in Seattle, bus them to Hunts Point, Mercer Island and Kirkland and any other locked community.

Typically, there is more to this than what the clickbait headline would have us believe. This is not about busing them somewhere. It is about contacting family members and trying to reunite the homeless persons with their families. Reunification.
A Seattle-area council member is pushing a $1 million proposal that would bus homeless people out of the state as part of a “family reunification” plan.
The plan, proposed by King County Councilman Reagan Dunn, would be a one- or two-year pilot program aimed at helping people who have someone in another state willing to take them in but can’t afford the cost of getting there.
Busing programs have been around for decades and have had varying degrees of success. While they can be a cheap and convenient way to connect people, critics warn it could lead to dangerous situations and say there’s no guarantee of permanent housing.
The basic article is at Fox:

GP can be very good. lt can also cause some to evaluate situations based upon only headlines and brief intros. That becomes another kind of Fake News.
Someone on another thread said “send them back” (presumably to where they’d come from). In places like Los Angeles and San Francisco, that would mean they would be going to a great number of other states. It’s my guess it would be the same in Seattle..

What I've been saying for months. If you're in a sanctuary state, set up homeless camps out of town.

This is a program targeting 1000 specific people. Seattle is and has been busing their bums out to other cities and states. From the article, "The city of Seattle and community organizers already offer free bus tickets as part of their broader approach to homelessness ...".

Soon the dims will be busing them to ovens like their beloved Adolf. For the good of the collective. They’re only a step or two away. And their madness shows no signs of abating.

The “family reunification” is a typical dim smokescreen for their nefarious plans, just like “keeping families together” at the southern border is a scam to create border chaos for political agitation.
The dims are just as rotten today as they were when they had a million kkk members marching in DC.

Pity the poor relatives on whose doorsteps these druggies land. All you have to do is watch a few "Intervention" episodes to see what kind of chaos drug addicts and alcoholics bring to their families. Rehab sometimes works, sometimes not. In the meantime, everyone around the addict gets sucked into the maelstrom they create.

I have never been to Japan but I bet they don't have thousands of homeless people making a mess and digging through trash cans. And their cost of living is higher than the US. Probably fewer people on Meth, coke, and cheap liquor.

The director of the Lighthouse Mission in Bellingham has worked with homeless and street people for years. It is his opinion that most of the homeless people are homeless due to broken relationships. Bridges have been burned and they have turned to drugs and alcohol for comfort. He encourages his charges to take responsibility for these flaws. Bringing them to an understanding that there is a God that cares for them, they are not alone, is the beginning of the process of regaining self respect and an ordered life. His program is oriented to fitting them for return to regular employment and eventual independence. He is getting many to graduation from this year long program, who in turn come back to share their stories and encourage new enrollees that there is hope for them. This work is entirely supported by private donors, no government/money strings attached. This Lighthouse Mission supports a day drop in center for coffee, sandwiches and counselling, a women and children care house with day care so the moms can get to school for retraining, and a men's shelter. They serve three hots a day for all comers. The latest convenience is a mobile shower facility, and there are plans afoot for a mobile laundry. This can be a potential model for other cities who have yet to come up with an effective plan of care

The attributes that would make for family reunification are also attributes required for willingness to adhere to the rules in a homeless shelter. If they can't function in the structured homeless shelter environment and take advantage of opportunities already offered to them, what makes anyone think that they would be welcomed into poor grandma's home? I predict chaos and violence would be visited on grandma.

They have some abandoned Barracks and civilian homes on Adak Island Alaska. Seems to me it would be a good place to house the homeless. I don't know if the air strip is still usable, but just put them on a plane and ship them up there. Let them fend for themselves it seems what they want to do anyway. Also I've seen documentary's about mothballed ships. It looked like an ideal place for the homeless.

Democrat leadership has one answer to any problem: busing. Brown v. Board of Education? Answer: busing. Hobos on downtown streets? Answer: busing. Don't want to be bothered? Answer: busing. Every problem is a nail because the only tool they have is a hammer!

In the sixties and seventies there were thousands of hippies on the west coast, homeless by choice. Who are today's homeless? Are they addicts, mentally ill, immigrants or families who have lost their homes? The media seems to lump them all together. Are there any statistics?
