The National Rifle Association filed suit against the city of San Francisco Monday after the city declared the gun rights group a “domestic terrorist organization.” The city’s board of supervisors unanimously approved the resolution that was introduced six weeks ago after three people were shot and killed at a garlic festival in Gilroy, Calif. After its passage last week, the board acknowledged the nonbinding resolution had little practical effect beyond its portrayal of the NRA, which the board hopes will spur the city to curtail relationships with companies that do business with the NRA. A spokesperson for the NRA dismissed the resolution as a “sound-bite remedy,” but that hasn’t stopped

Good for the NRA. The democrats always have to have a Bogey Man to use as a foil even if they have to create one which they normally have to do. Then they attack it relentlessly until they beat it into submission. We cannot allow that anymore. We must fight back with every means we have available. This declaration is obscene. If it stands, every liberal city in the country will follow suit naming any opposition as a domestic terrorist organization. Clearly that declaration should be reserved for the democrat funded, enabled and supported Antifa thugs who use violence and intimidation to advance their cause. Let’s set up a reasonable criteria to use in declaring a group a terrorist organization. I am sure Antifa would easily qualify. The NRA, not so much.

I guess this means that every member of the NRA is now a terrorist? Maybe I should sue.

As a group, the dems and the left media are the most dishonest, nasty, dumb and dishonest people around.

I'm not a lawyer but this certainly seems like a clear case of libel and slander that would be subject to a lawsuit. It is unconscionable that a government entity would take such a damaging action against not just an organization but also the millions of citizens who are members and may also find themselves damaged by this action.
This is definitely worth fighting in court and extracting the maximum possible compensation.

The difference is easy: slander is spoken (both words begin with S). Libel is written. So if you read aloud what you have written, you get a double whammy. In any case, I hope NRA grabs the last of San Fran's cash. The entire city could apply for food stamps and welfare assistance to keep the pooper scoopers employed.

Re: #3
The NRA is suing on your behalf. On behalf of all people who believe in the Second Amendment. Way less expensive to contribute to the NRA than to hire your own lawyer! If we all contribute, San Francisco will lose for sure.

The NRA is made up of citizens of the entire country and is much bigger than the pointy heads who "run" San Francisco. Given their severe debt problems and the continuing exodus of the sane from their city I think they are in for a big loss and will look even more foolish than ever. The 2nd Amendment will live much longer than the San Fran crowd or the democrat party for that matter.

It is not sufficient to win this and get the resolution reversed. The "supervisors" need to be punished somehow. That may require creativity by some folks.

The board of supervisors is also racist. If they bothered to look into the history of the NRA they would know that it was founded after the Civil War partially to give blacks who had been freed by Republicans from their demonrat enslavement, the right to own firearms and protect themselves from carpetbaggers, the KKK, etc.

It would be nice if the NRA got a whopping big award for the city of San Francisco slander. However, the "legal" system (there is no way I can call it a "justice" system) that declared the illegal criminal alien, that killed Kate Steinle, not guilt and freed him most likely will find for the city.

Just a precursor to many attempts by leftists to disarm Americans. As history has shown, they know they cannot enforce their evil and controlling ways on the citizenry as long as they are armed. Thus, they begin by spreading fear (we are inundated with gun violence, in spite of the statistics to the contrary!) and then appeal to the liberals in our country with feel good, virtue signaling laws to ban/control guns.
They have already started with “assault” rifles, which account for a very small fraction of the 400-500 annual US homicides committed using shotguns and rifles of ALL types. They will then focus on handguns, which are used overwhelmingly in gun murders, but are still are significantly low - 12-13,000 annually - for a population of over 350 million. Why else would they focus their gun control/ confiscation efforts on law abiding people? Any sane, rational person knows that criminals and nut cases won’t pay attention to any of their laws.
Americans need to wake up to this very real, determined assault on our liberty, or be doomed to be controlled by the likes of the San Francisco board of supervisors.

This is a tiny group of Progressives and Marxists labeling 5,000,000 patriotic Americans as terrorists. If this were not so subversive I would laugh.

Everybody here - If you can afford it buy a life membership for a family member or friend. My son bought mine years ago and it was one of the proudest moments we share because he really couldn't afford it at the time. I have since passed it on to some good friends...
