'Impossible to live together': Todd and
Sarah Palin file for divorce

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband Todd Palin have filed for divorce Friday in Anchorage Superior Court. Citing "incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife," the court document uses initials instead of full names, but lists the date of the Palin marriage and the birth date of their child, Trig, for whom they filed joint custody. Anchorage attorney Kimberloo Colbo is representing Todd, 55, and has asked the court to keep the case confidential. Sarah Palin, also 55, rose to political prominence during the 2008 presidential election,

It is a shame that they are divorcing, but we don't know the details, and shouldn't know. But I will always believe that if John McCain had handled Sarah Palin properly, and of course, campaigned properly, we would not have had a Kenyan klown as president. And perhaps the worst thing about the Kenyan klown's presidency is that there may be another black candidate for the office, who will be ignored by the voters, at some point in the future, no matter how qualified..

After reading her book, I'm convinced that she would have been a much better presidential candidate than McCain. Neither McCain nor Obama should have been anywhere near the presidency. She is smart, accomplished, hard-working and a Christian.

The GOP establishment’s disgusting treatment of Gov. Palin gave rise to Donald Trump in many ways. They celebrate her children’s misfortunes and mocked and belittled her out of vicious jealousy over her unapologetic femininity and confidence. While she had some PR missteps after it was all said and done, I’m sad to hear that the media and the elitist snobs destroyed her family. Their hatred is unrelenting.

I remember when Sarah gave her terrific speech at the Republican Convention, and because she had memorized it perfectly, she had no problem when SOMETHING happened to the teleprompter! I think because she stood up to the "old boys club" in Alaska, there were those who wanted her to fail from day one. And she and her husband were obviously very much in love, unlike many other political marriages, so I feel very bad for them.

Things change, people change, divorces happen. Theirs isn't the first and it won't be the last. Not everyone stays together as a marriage of convenience or just because they have been together a long time. Sometimes, being apart is better for both parties and the children.

If it’s not working then it’s time to stick a fork in it. I was married for 31 years and hit the same similar situation. I filed for divorce and to make it easy I gave her 100% of everything I could have had 50% of. She took it signed the papers in front of the judge and 8 years later I have not seen or spoken to her since. Best money I ever gave away. I’m so happy today I can not tell you how good it is. I pray they find their happiness as well.

The Supreme Court will allow the Trump administration to enforce new immigration rules against asylum seekers at the southern border. The high court did not give reasons for its Wednesday night decision or disclose a vote count, as is typical of orders of this nature. Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote a short dissent, which Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg joined. In effect, the restrictions deny asylum to migrants who pass through another country on their way to the U.S. without first seeking protected status there. Border Patrol has intercepted approximately 350,000 asylum seekers from the northern triangle countries

The New York Times began its 9/11 coverage this year with an avian appeal. The 9/11 tribute lights, they claim, are putting 160,000 birds at risk every year.Apparently the “Tribute in Light” — two columns created by 88 searchlights — is affecting the migratory patterns of our winged friends. That is, unless you read the article. The headline’s claim is debunked about halfway in: “But according to radar studies … the 20-minute breaks are enough to allow birds to resume their migration.” This isn’t the first year they’ve done it,

As President Trump begins considering replacements for former national security adviser John Bolton, sources close to the administration say it's possible Trump will make an unusual pick and ask Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to fill the role. The scenario of Pompeo taking the job while keeping his current one has historical precedent in Henry Kissinger, who served in both positions from 1973 to 1975. Holding both jobs would "appeal to anyone with a sense of history," said a Republican operative close to Pompeo. "The Henry Kissinger scenario is one that I can imagine. Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda network were responsible. But, the 9/11 plot did not happen in a vacuum. In reality, America’s elephantine national security state had known of bin Laden and his network years before the horrific events of 9/11.
