The steady stream of customers walking into Di Palo's on a recent afternoon were greeted by giant cheese wheels, meat hanging from the ceiling and bottles of olive oil lined up on the shelves -- a century-old array that's at risk because of President Donald Trump's trade wars. Most of the products sold at the 109-year-old specialty shop in Manhattan's Little Italy neighborhood are from the old country, and attract customers from all over. The store has lasted through two world wars and the Great Depression. But because of a Trump administration fight with the European Union, Di Palo's

You can get excellent olive oils in California—one of our favorites is the Temecula Olive Oil Company, and many small wineries produce a quality product locally like Deerhorn Valley Vineyards. Wineries are everywhere across the U.S. now which means lots of olive oil, too. Buy American! Support these small vineyards. By the way, our wines are better, too...

Government watchdog Judicial Watch has issued a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Department of Justice in order to obtain documents and information about Felix Sater. Sater was working inside the Trump Organization in 2016 on behalf of the FBI and reportedly pushed the Trump Moscow project. That Moscow project was often cited as "proof" by Democrats and media that President Trump had business dealings with the Russians. According to a release, Judicial Watch is "seeking all records of communications, including FBI 302 interview reports and offer agreements between former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office and Felix Sater."

The "Church of Climate Change" demands that Western nations impose restrictions on industrial CO2 emissions, encouraging them to squander billions on unreliable "green" technologies and renewable sources of energy. They continue to ignore the one policy that has significantly increased atmospheric CO2 levels in the last few decades, generating hundreds of millions of metric tons of the stuff annually: mass third-world immigration (see Kolankiewicz and Camarota, 2008). If the IPCC were objective, it would demand an end to mass immigration instead of more carbon taxes and emissions trading.

The co-authors of a new book about Brett Kavanaugh blamed New York Times editors Monday for removing a key passage from an essay they published over the weekend that laid out a new, but uncorroborated, sexual misconduct allegation against the Supreme Court justice. In an interview with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, Times reporters Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly addressed the controversy over a New York Times Review essay they published Saturday that previewed their book, “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation.” The essay focused on uncorroborated allegations that Deborah Ramirez made against Kavanaugh in 1983, when they were both stu

While it may seem like merely a minor inconvenience to drink out of a mushy paper straw or sippy-cup lid, bans on straws have become the trendiest piece of legislation in the United States. Virtue-signaling lefties rejoice in what they consider to be “planet-saving” bans on useful items that children and disabled people need daily. For a while, we thought MSNBC had temporarily usurped CNN as the font of fake news — although both networks had tied for the most negative coverage (93 percent of all their news reports) of President Trump’s first 100 days in office. A cynic would argue that CNN had deliberately given Trump undue coverage during the Republican primary on the theory that he would be the weakest Republican in the general election and would therefore be the weakest challenger to Hillary Clinton. CNN president Jeffrey Zucker at one point had bragged that in the primaries, Trump made CNN money. Only later, after Trump’s nomination, did Zucker regret giving

In a bad year for Republicans, the GOP successfully used Brett Kavanaugh's contentious Supreme Court confirmation as a rallying call ahead of last year's midterm elections. But Democratic presidential candidates are running headlong into the issue ahead of the 2020 presidential election regardless. Reporting from a pair of New York Times reporters on new—though hazy and unsubstantiated—sexual assault allegation has thrust Kavanaugh back in the news. Several leading Democratic candidates for president quickly seized on the report, now revised to note that the alleged victim of the assault doesn't recall the incident, to call for Kavanaugh's impeachment from the Court.
