The M.I.T. Media Lab, which has been embroiled in a scandal over accepting donations from the financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, had a deeper fund-raising relationship with Epstein than it has previously acknowledged, and it attempted to conceal the extent of its contacts with him. Dozens of pages of e-mails and other documents obtained by The New Yorker reveal that, although Epstein was listed as “disqualified” in M.I.T.’s official donor database, the Media Lab continued to accept gifts from him, consulted him about the use of the funds, and, by marking his contributions as anonymous, avoided disclosing their full extent, both publicly and within the university.

Both my father and grandfather were graduates of MIT in chemical engineering. They would be disgusted by what that school has become today. You’d think that tech schools would have enough sense to stay away from leftist idiocy and perversion.

Somebody tell the New Yorker their gratuitous addition of unnecessary diacritical marks really énhances the Élite Éuropean perception that they project, and suggest they shöuld start adding random umläauts the way the trëndy heavy metal bands did in the 1980s and 90s.

I can't say that Caltech wouldn't have taken his money, but I'm not surprised that MIT did. If you look across the spectrum of American higher education the only school that is largely 'pure', i.e., the only one that admits students on merit and the only one whose focus remains research and instruction (and the only one who has kept today's version of the humanities on the margins) is Caltech.

As soon as I read "ELITE", I am done. There are very few real 'universities' today. None are 'ELITE'. The only good ones I am aware of are Hillsdale and Liberty...the rest are Anti-American institutions of propaganda...and watch out for each and every one that has a "CONFUCIUS CENTER" on the future, the very near future, this is where CHINA will strike us from (with its 300,000 spies within these same 'ELITE' propaganda sites)...and it will be with fentanyl...probably in a water system...make a note of this caution folks.

MIT's Media Lab has, over the decades, produced nothing. It is famous simply because it's at MIT. It's pathetic, really.

“Climate Change” Is A Hoax 1 reply

I hate science, evidently, because I’m woke to the manifest truth about what the leftist elite currently calls “climate change." It is the second most staggering fraud ever perpetrated upon the American people after the media’s promotion of the unstoppable candidacy of Beto (who is a furry). Like some suckers still do, I once believed that “science” was a rigorous process where you tested theories and revised those theories in response to objective evidence. But in today’s shabby practice, “science” is just a package of self-serving lies buttressing the transnational liberal elite’s preferred narrative. Our alleged betters hope that labeling their propaganda “science”

Is being an openly Christian person so deeply stigmatized as to be viewed as deathblow to your career and social standing in America today? From the media response to NFL star Drew Brees’ message to his young fans on being proud of and sharing their faith, this may not be a far-fetched question. Brees released a short video encouraging young people to share their faith by bringing their Bibles to school on October 3, 2019. The event is an annual celebration designed to encourage personal freedom, religious freedom, and religious pride, and is sponsored by Focus on the Family, a conservative Christian advocacy organization.

"This is beyond just a fiscal problem,” Jeb Hensarling said in 2017. “This is a moral problem." The former Texas congressman and Financial Services chairman was specifically addressing the federal National Flood Insurance Program. At the time, the program was about to be tapped to pay claims by residents along the Texas Gulf Coast after Hurricane Harvey. It was already $25 billion in debt. Today, with new claims on the way, it is only $21 billion in the red, but that’s only because Congress forgave an additional $16 billion that the program owed the U.S. Treasury — owed, that is, to taxpayers. But money is not and never has been the real issue.

Joe Biden’s bleeding eye at the Democrats’ marathon “climate crisis” town hall on CNN is as good an omen as any of the political curse of eco-catastrophism. From banning cheeseburgers and plastic straws to aborting babies in poor countries, the swivel-eyed climate zealotry of the 10 Democratic front-runners has just rendered them unelectable. It’s extraordinary the candidates were gullible enough to be lured into what clearly was an ambush by puppet youth climate activists from the shadowy Sunrise Movement and

For the first time in the US Army's 244 year history, two sisters have attained the rank of general. Maj. Gen. Maria Barrett and her younger sister, Brig. Gen. Paula Lodi, grew up in a military family. Their father, Ruston Lodi, served in World War II and received the Silver Star. Both have impressive resumes: Maj. Gen. Barrett is the Commanding General of NETCOM, while Brig. Gen. Lodi is the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations at the Office of the Surgeon General, USA Today reports. But while fathers and sons have risen to general in the past, the Army believes this pair are the first sisters with the distinction.

Liar or idiot. It is hard to tell which of these best describes former Vice President Joe Biden. In fact, I really don’t understand how he can even be a contender considering his past. During the summer of my freshman year in college, then-U.S. Sen. Biden plagiarized the words of the leader of the British Labor Party, Neil Kinnock. These are the exact words he used during his closing statement at a Democrat debate at the Iowa State Fair on Aug. 23, 1987: “I started thinking as I was coming over here, why is it that Joe Biden is the first in his family ever to go to a university?

CNN is a mid-tier cable news network that provides non-stop breaking news to bored airport travelers and internet journalists. The network has breathlessly covered President Donald Trump's every fart and utterance since 2015 and has contributed to the "national dialogue" through countless interviews with serious public intellectuals. Michael Avenatti, for example. One of CNN's most recent hires, former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, was found to have lied to federal investigators under oath prior to his firing in March 2018. In addition to his role as CNN contributor, McCabe has a new side hustle: Keynote speaker at Democratic Party fundraisers. And speaking of the network's keen eye for talent, CNN invited celebrity

A gain for Elizabeth Warren and a slip in support for Kamala Harris place Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders and Warren atop the field in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, days in advance of the Sept. 12 Democratic debate in Houston, sponsored by ABC and Univision. The poll finds Biden, this summer’s front-runner, far better rated for electability than for being “the best president for the country.” Still, his supporters are more committed than those of other candidates, and electability has advanced as a priority, helping him hold his ground -- albeit not advance.

Donald Trump wants people to think he’s a winner. So why does he act like a loser? Winners convey a sense of effortless superiority. They don’t have to work at it. You just know they’re above it all. If someone tries to criticize them, it’s beneath their dignity to worry about it. It’s just a little speck they brush off their shoulder. The Brits are good at that, Boris Johnson especially. We still don’t know how things will turn out there, but I expect his aplomb will carry him through. “There are no disasters,” he once joked. “Only opportunities. And, indeed, opportunities for fresh disasters.”

When the British went to war exactly 80 years ago they swiftly lost the individual freedom to make fundamental choices over the way they lived. Freedom of travel, freedom to choose work, freedom to remain where they lived, freedom to choose a school for the kids, freedom to buy the clothes they wanted, even the freedom to decide how many books were printed, how many movies were made, and what kind of news could be reported and what could not—all gone. That’s what being on a war footing meant. The state became all powerful. In order to survive, we were told, individual choice was a luxury Britain could no longer afford.
